I think a weather condition worth elaborating upon would be Tailwind. Perhaps lower the speed increase slightly and have an auto-inducer and/or have an item that expands the number of turns it lasts. It would work like a trick room team but without having to rely on slow, bulky, pokemon to sweep, giving you the liberty of using slower Pokemon and now-uncatchable fast-Pokemon.
Tailwind is meant for doubles and only works 3 turns b/c even Marrowak can outrun Mence in Tailwind, DD or not. Suicune should set up 5-8 turns of Tailwind upon switching in, but not infinite amount (mainly b/c weather doesn't cancle it out). lol. An item that boosted it from 3 turns to five like the normal feild affects would help a lot on my team.

I'm at least happy to see it's actually much more easy and possible to make a variant team w/ Tailwind now that it is a move tutor move. Being only three turns means 85% of your team needs it, and that was a problem when all the Pokemon were weak to Discharge.

Gravity was a very similar situation until a move tutor came along.

Gravity and Trick Room could also use items. It would make sense if they had the same item.

Maybe make Volt Tackle/Flare Blitz move tutor moves (Luxray would be UU, but Flareon would still have trouble w/ the recoil.).

An attack that summons Fog should also be a move tutor move.

It did get Skull Bash in RBY since it was a TM there. On the other hand, since it ws a gen 1 TM, there's no way Pichu can learn it, but Melee's Pichu had it.

I know. But that's not the case anymore. lol, that still doesn't explain Thunder Jolt.

I could have been a mistranslation of Thundershock, or something. The anime has had many times where Ash has said "Whirlwind the smoke away" since the Japanese name for Whirlwind is Blow Away.

fuck thunder jolt or skull bash, we need THUNDER ARMOR!

boost all stats by 300%.

hp recover 25% each turn.

any atack break screens.

infinite protect.

how to use:can only be used in double battles, have a pikachu and a flying type pokemon, use thunder on the flying pokemon then on pikachu, thunder armor activate!

lolwut.

Maybe they liked Thunder Jolt better? It's not like they have the name listed in the actual game anyways, so they probably didn't really care so much.

Thunder and Blizzard both have 100% accuracy during rain and hail, respectively...but Fire Blast didn't get that 100% accuracy even during sunny day. I hope they did that to the next games.

I'm also thinking of a fighting-type version of pursuit, or a fire-type version of stealth rock, for those who hates Scizor *hint hint*
Or another version of rapid spin whom its type nobody is immune to it.

And of course Flare Blitz to both Flareon and Entei...

Umm Fire Blast gets a 1.5x power boost in the sun and considering 85% accuracy is pretty damn good, I don't see any reason it needs an accuracy boost. All of those elemental moves (Solarbeam, Fire Blast, Thunder, Blizzard, Hydro Pump) are perfectly balance through their secondary effects and accuracy. If anything Gravity needs to be changed to 5 turns (while also receiving an item to boost it to 8) like Rain Dance/Sunny Day so that Focus Blast receives 100% accuracy as well.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't all of them get near perfect accuracy under Gravity? I realize it's not used all the much but still. Over all I do agree. It would be nice to see a way to increase it's accuracy outside of that one rare condition.

Edit: beaten. Guess I'm just too slow

Thunder Armour is an ability or something Ash activated by having Pikachu use Thunder into a Raincloud, where it bounced back twice as powerful, hitting Pikachu and Swellow. Both became coated in yellow and pretty much became invincible....Even though they both should have fainted considering Thunder is SE on Swellow who doesn't have the greatest defenses and Pikachu has paper defenses being technically NFE.

Similar to "Aim for the horn!!!".

No, I don't follow the anime....I used to watch it on occasion and just happened to see the episode.

Did you catch the episode where his Sceptile was fighting a Metagross which happened to have a crack and then Sceptile used Leaf Blade on that crack? haha

OMFG i remember that episode! that was one of those A(ss).S(hit).H(ead) moments. naturally pikachu was the one that beat metagross, fail anime sometimes.

Thunder Armor should totally be Pikachu's ability, even if it would probably just be identical to Solid Rock. I mean, they gave the Rhyhorn family LightningRod just because of the "Aim for the horn!" debacle...

Heeeey, Light Ball Modest Pikachu has a chance of OHKOing 252 HP Metagross with Thunder with 2 layers of spikes.
And a chance to OHKO 0/0 Metagross without entry hazards.

ash pikachu got no balls at all! no light! no poke! no shit!

we really need corocoro to show us the starters already, this place is going downhill really fast.

If we dont get to see the starters soon this thread will be swamped by Light-type and Fusion talk.... they should rename it Poke Power Rangers.

Hey I got a really cool idea for a new type, it's called sound.....Y'all didn't say anything about sound :P j/k

I'm wondering what's taking them so long.........

How about Virus typed pokemon, artificialy created pokes like the Porygon family!

Will we get to see the Legendary pokemons used for the cover of Black & White after the starters are revealed?
Im hopeing for a white tiger pokemon for the White version and a Black dragon for the Black version.

I don't really want to see another type. It would just be pointless. But if existing types like Poison were made better, then I would be happier than just getting a new type.

Water/Fire type anyone?
