Hah, I need something misleading, but cool at the same time.
I was thinking of mixing up words Infinite, Serpent, Leviathan, Blaze, Inferno, Vast, etc.
You dig mythological names? Poseidon is the Greek god of the sea. His Roman equivalent is Neptune. There's also the disgustingly long name Jormungandr, which was a gigantic sea serpent that circled the entire earth (Norse mythology). From my marginal amount of research, it seems that Ebisu is the Shinto god of good fortune, the ocean, and fishing folk.

If it's female, let's see...Sedna is the Inuit goddess of the ocean. Marah was the Canaanite goddess of the ocean, and Tethys was the Greek titaness of the ocean.

If you prefer celestial names, there's the constellation Aquarius. Cancer is also related to water, but it's a crab, so that's sorta iffy. Mercury has also been associated with water in ancient China, it seems.

There's also El Niño and La Niña.

And that's just water-related.

EDIT: Where IS the trade thread?

^ Yep looks good.
Why is Manaphy in Ubers when the other similar-stat pokemon are in OU? It's the Rest + Hydrate combo?

What's this *British Gliscor* fad I keep seeing? Where did it originate from?
British Gliscor is a Gliscor that Zak91 used in a Smogon Tour. The opponent kept on missing his attacks against it, and since Zak is British, some people like to make the joke that you can't hit British Gliscor.

It's just the standard Stallbreaker set.

If I Use one of those 31/31/31/31/31/31 Dittos dup.'d from AR and i breed it with a pokemon to transfer the iv's will my pokemon pass the check for VGC?

I know Focus Punch has negative priority, but it really needs to function apart from a SubPuncher imo. But it's really up to the user: power vs. speed.
thanks a lot, i think i would go with power over speed on this set but outspeeding gyarados is important too... well i guess i would switch out anyway because intimidate... ughhh i guess i'll just test it out on shoddy, THANKS A MILLION Jumpluff and Lucalibur!!!!!!!

Thats most likely the reason, plus manaphy has acces to tail glow which boosts Sp.Atk 2 stages.

There are much easier ways to pass the hack check (make your Pokemon in Pokesav). It's still cheating, though.

Wasn't there a calculator for Voltorb Flip tables? If so could someone please link it?
I don't know about that. I just try to flip over all the panels in rows/columns with no Voltorbs, then I usually gravitate towards panels in rows with high numbers and low Voltorb counts.

There's no need to figure out where the Voltorbs are in the lower levels. Just figure out where the high numbers are, and don't even TOUCH any rows where number + Voltorbs = 5. Those are dead rows.

Remember to go for pts/hr. Not pts/game. Like if it takes you half an hour to clear a three-hundred point game, your time would've been better spent clearing six 70-point games at five minutes each.

Sorry, I don't know the address for the Voltorb Flip calculator (and, in fact, until you mentioned it, I had no idea such a thing even existed).

While I'm here, I thought I read somewhere that there's a trade thread somewhere? Last time I tried to search for it on these forums, it came up with a fatal error and I had to hit the back button. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

is there ever a reason to use a neutral nature like serious or quirky?

No, because iirc, it wastes EVs. Even if you had a nature that lowered a stat, you would still save EVs by putting them in the lowered stat. Even if I'm wrong, everyone always says, never use a nuetral nature, so for a simple answer, no

I'm not looking to cheat i'm trying to breed some good iv's on my pokemon and Ditto in that case is my man. So i heard there was a perfect one goin around and i was lookin to get that or make my own but i'm struggling with rng (see post above)

Modest Milotic@ Life Orb with
Surf/HP Electric/ Hypnosis or Ice Beam/ Recover

Spread #1 is from the analysis: 152 HP/80 Defense/220 SpAtk/56 Speed...
It gives Milotic 212 Speed to outrun most slow guys, enormous special attack with life orb, and average defenses

Spread #2, one of my friends has been working on for me: 252 HP/168 Defense/88 Special Attack... It gives Milotic wonderful defenses and above average special attack... 394 HP/236 Defense/286 Special Defense takes a good amount of hits and 282 Special Attack with the Life Orb is enough to OHKO or 2HKO some major threats...

Spread #3 was also made by a friend: 68 Def/252 Spatk/190 speed... It gives Milotic 211 Defense, 328 Special Attack, and 244 Speed... However instead of outfitting it with a Life Orb, Milotic gets a Salac Berry, so that it can attack until its HP is relatively low, then use recover after the Salac Berry activates, letting it outspeed (even max speed Latias) and then truly sweep.

So...
A. Which spread do I go with in OU?
B. Would said moveset like Ice Beam or Hypnosis?

About neutral natures; what if I was using a mixed defensive tank? As in I can't afford to reduce defences but I'm using both a special and physical move; wouldn't a neutral nature be useful then?

If you want good mixed defensive stats, and good mixed offensive stats, there isn't much you can do. That is, unless you don't really need to be too fast, then you can use a Speed lowering nature, otherwise, I would go to the Shoddy Team Builder or something similar, and plug in a neutral nature with the EVs to make the outcome stats what you want, and then see if you can make the same spread using a nature boosting what you need the most and subtracting what you need the least. And remeber, natures help get you to your stat goal quicker most of the time
