Who should win Eurovision?

In Eurovision my favourite is always the strangest one, therefore I want Greece to win.
I'd like Croatia to win but I reckon Georgia will take it all

throughly enjoyed graham nortons commentary also. made me wonder though, do all countries treat eurovision the way britiain does? seems like germany especially treat it like a big deal kind of like x factor or britains got talent lol

To be honest, Germany was good but it didn't deserve to win. Belgium rocks ^^. Oh and sorry Britain for being the losers of the day (although it was to be expected). The point for my personal favorites (Cyprus) were rather dissapointing.
Most countries actually care. And importantly, enter acts that are already popular. Second-place group MaNga are a popular (and IMO good) metal band. The winner was a new artist, but significantly, the song was released before Eurovision and had already gone platinum.
It's become considered a joke in the UK, and as such no-one decent enters it, so we perform craply, so the joke status perpetuates itself.
I think around 10th place.
They don't choose the best song anymore like they did 20 years ago. Countries just vote for their neighbours. Small countries will always be outnumbered this way.
I wouldn't be so sure about that one, Delko. If that was the case, Finland wouldn't have gotten the record 292 in 2006 :P

Obviously wanted Greece to win as I am myself greek but w/e, we did well.
They've counteracted it somewhat since last year, by having 50% from the phone voting and 50% from a panel of music experts. Block tendencies are still there but they're nothing like as bad as they used to be.

This year's Eurovision had a surprisingly good amount of decent songs. Lena's song was definitely not the best out there, though.
Pity that Malta didn't get to the final, though it's our fault really: the song was too ordinary and didn't stand out. Thea's voice is amazing, but her song wasn't. And when most of the other countries come up with such a good song themselves, you don't get to the final.

I still think to myself why the netherlands even bother to participate and waste money on shit songs and a shit festival :P better to save the money for something thats more important, because goddamn dare I say it Germany's song was even worse then what we had sent XD

yeah i figured the uk was pretty different to the rest of europe in regards to eurovision. i love how cynical we are as a country.
even my 11 year old cousin was making fun of it, namely the fact that nearly every single act had a wind machine was pretty funny, and the bit in the interval when security tackled that guy out of the way of the cameras was pretty hilarious (and i thought the showing of the cities across the world dancing was pretty good actually, though the one from london was hilariously shit)
and the german girl was kind of cute so eh i was rooting for her. especially since two of the closer acts were those two botoxed danes and the lordi wannabees.
