NO! we just love our pogaymans to the point that we die if we release then. see how much i love little riolu!? SEE?! 30 boxes, 40, whatever, just gimme more.

Didn't they? I haven't touched my Diamond cart since Platinum came out, lol. That came out in '09, and if you haven't beaten it by the time Black and White come out, that's just sad.
Some n00bs are still SRing there games to get shiny starters with good natures 8D! God, I never really understood what was so special about shines and why people even go out of there way to get them. Shit, I found one each in Pt and HG just walking around training big deal.

This gens breeders/traders are a funny bunch too, people tampering with there Pokemon to save time and battle online right away are looked down upon but at the same time no one cares about AR users loading up on supply of items or cloning Pokemon to distribute. lol, its funny to cause with Gen IV's lack of proper communication with other players its damn near impossible to have all the monsters fully EV/IV trained for serious battle and even if they someone manage to the next game is already out by the time that happens.

i'm thinking blue eyes white dragon and red eyes black dragon :/ has gf watched a bit too much yugioh?
Its not like YGO came up with the idea of a white and black dragon, come on now you'd have to be really simple minded to believe that...

well, idk, its not like i know the background and story of each and every one of ygo's cards...plus, i was just making a point; american public might relate the new legends and those things...though americans might not remember ygo anymore xD

it would be cool though if reshiram and zekrom were really dragon typed (they've said it's true, but it's not technically official)....i've hard that reshiram represents nature and zekrom urbanization, but what if they were actually the opposite?

EDIT: i'm almost asleep, so i'll leave you guys with a question... do you think lady gaga is enough of an icon to hav a type named in her(or his?) honor? (gaga type, kinda like sound but freaky and fashion-oriented)

xD

now, seriously, do you guys think there'll be a rse remake? i mean, gen 3 did 1, gen 4 did 2, so do you think that 5 will do 3?

I dunno about America but to me YGO is dead, not sure if any of you is still watching the series but its spiraled off into retardation really and the hair is even crazier this time around and they've become as unoriginal as Pokemon really, story wise that is before anyone chops my head off. The whole theme of some mystical beast - probably a dragon - is really played out in YGO and that's kinda why I strayed away form it series wise recently and card game wise years ago.

Oh and no RSE remake. The remake of I happened because it started it all, its a classic. II got a remake because it was like I with everything players wanted which where lots of necessary improvements that made the game a lot more entertaining and helped move the series in the direction that made it what it is today. For me III just added weather, natures and abilities that never really made a huge difference until IV further changed the battle system.

OH LAWD

For some reason, I really want to say that they might have a new typing...probably in the thread, but you know the deal.

Light type anyone?

Weak to Dark, Bug, Ghost. Super to Dark, Psychic, Ghost? I like it.

I could see Reshiram being Dragon/Light and Zekrom being Dragon/Dark. Light is super effective against dark, but dark is also super effective against light. This would be the first time the box legends have two types that hit each other super effectively. We saw the first Pokemon to have two types that are both weak to themselves (Giratina) in Gen IV, so this seems plausible. Or they could just make Light > Dark, in order to keep the little kiddies thinking in lala land.

Not to go off, or anything, but I think that could start somewhat of problem... Light>Dark It'd be better off with them being weak against each other. But now I think of some old Pokemon that could do with being a Light typing.

The way I see it is that the first two gens got remakes was because Pokemon from those were locked there due to the GBA being too different to the original Game Boy. In fact, it's pretty obvious that FR/LG were planned from the start of gen 3, note the epic lack of older Pokemon in Ruby/Sapphire and the fact that the FR/LG trainers were in Colosseum. HG/SS didn't seem to be part of some grand plan like FR/LG were, but it did give non-Cube-players with no event access Ho-oh, Lugia and Raikou/Entei/Suicune with proper IVs, unlike the crap that FR/LG ones were stuck with.

But with the release of gen 5, we'll have three generations of Pokemon to access (gen 3 can Pal Park to gen 4, gen 4 can send Pokemon to gen 5). So what would be the reason to remake Ruby/Sapphire? We can send Pokemon from the original RS to gen 5.

Also, weather was introduced in gen 2.

On another topic: Light type. NO. JUST NO.

...also lucario with mach punch, but that is another history....btw, does anyone else want to see a mach punch move tutor?

Gallade is the one who needs mach punch, not lucario, by egg move would be nice. Seriously, Gallade, the combination of arguably the two most "heroic" types, Psychic and Fighting, gets shadow sneak but not mach punch? wth? SD and CB Gallade would see more use.

About the legendaries...The're so far the only 5th gen pokemon I've liked on sight. I've slowly come to appreciate the starters, mostly due to the nice sprites and battle animations, but Reshiram and Zekrom are just epic. I actually thought Reshiram could be part Ice or Ghost when I first saw it, Zekrom of course being some sort of combination of Dragon, Dark, or Steel. I prefer Reshiram's design actually, it looks so ethereal and I get that same feeling of purity from him that suicune gives off. Zekrom is epic looking and I could see him as being connected to technology, but just looks a little too unnatural to me. Yes they might look a little edgey and digimon like (moreso Zekrom), but I think they actually look more like pokemon than Dialga and Palkia do, to be honest.

I'm also very interested in what the "big difference" between the versions will be. Unlike most, I was originally planning to get White, but since I prefer Reshiram, I'll have to wait and see what these new differences will be. I was thinking that each version could have different environements. Like the leafy train tracks in the screenshot could be a bustling train station in the opposite version. In Black version you have to find Reshiram to purify the land industry industry while in white natural disasters are destroying cities and you find Zekrom to bring order.

¿RSE remake?, well anything is possible, we got Gen I and II remakes for their respective 10th anniversary. Ruby and Sapphire were released in 2002 (2003 outside Japan) so yeah... they could make remakes about them if they want in 2013 with the same excuse.

Personally, i don't really want every single generation to get remakes, that includes RS.

WAAAAAIIIIT.
Maybe just maybe, if you pick Pokemon Black, you have to be the evil side, and if you pick White, your on the good side !!!!!
How racist, but how cool

I wouldn't mind an RSE remake myself, the region has a lot of unused potential that the current gen could make use of (more 3-D environments for awesome locations like fortree and sootopolis, day and night, wi-fi implementation of secret bases and updated Emerald Frontier), I would especially like the orange islands to be included as a post-game region like Kanto and the sevii islands. But I think a better idea is to make Hoenn a post game region in BW like Kanto in GSC, especially if Isshu is based on the Chuugoku/Shikoku area which I suspect after Mario with Lasers post some 200 pages back, since Kyushuu (Hoenn) is just west of this potential Isshu region. That way they could bring Hoenn up to date with all the other regions, since other region is now current gen. Although, being able to catch Groudon/Kyogre in HGSS makes this seem somewhat unlikely...

I don't like Reshiram. The neck seems too thin for the head, the spur of feathers/fur on the underside seems awkward, and the arm/wings are too insubstantial, there's no real feeling of power to them. There's no oomph to the design. It's a fairly meh design. Look at the power conveyed by say, Mewtwo pictures, then look at Reshiram. Reshiram just doesn't have that.

Zekrom is goodish, but nothing special to my eyes. It uses the default humanoid Pokemon body shape (look at say, Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Rhydon, or especially Mewtwo, and then at Zekrom, and note the anatomy similarities for the torso, arms and legs) so there's not much that could have gone wrong, and the colouring isn't particularly bad, and it isn't weird like Dialga/Palkia were. I prefer it to Reshiram, and Zekrom has its good points, it just isn't something I'd rave about. 7.5/10 stuff, you know? Probably will end up getting White though, so I can avoid Reshiram.

Really, I'm just annoyed that we have Poke-gods again. Pokemon were better when they were just ordinary creatures, and I prefered RBYGSC when the legendaries were simply rare and powerful Pokemon, not gods.

Forgot about lack of migration outside of getting them from consoles.

Weather outside of battle, you remember those areas where it was really strong right.

Light could work, I wish airfoil was online so he could see this as well but one cannot exist without the other. Yes Dark is "Evil" type in Japanese, but that doesn't mean much when the two basically have the same meaning. There cannot be a "good" type as Airfoil pointed out, but good is often associated with pure and light so there seems to be no real reasons it couldn't exist in a future game.

What surprises me are people bitching about the element chart and worrying about the metagame and how a new type would effect it LOL! No one seemed to mind when Dark and Steel appeared, even thought Steel is an incredably sturdy type.

Anyways, if Light doesn't show up then I expect Normal to represent it as I'm cool with that.

non-legendary dragon:
altaria
dragonite
flygon
garchomp
kingdra
salamence
6 of those
legendary dragons:
dialga
giratina(-O)
latias
latios
palkia
rayquaza
also 6, 7 if you count forms
so yeah compared to the amount of normal dragons there is quite a lot of legendary dragons

As we posted yesterday, Reshiram's name comes from "shiro," which means "white" in Japanese, whereas Zekrom's comes from "kuro," which means "black." But as it turns out, the names also originate from the Japanese words "shiramu" and "kuromu," which mean "to grow light" and "to grow dark." Specifically, these words are used to refer to the sky becoming light and dark. Like we pointed out a few weeks ago, "hiun" in Hiun City's name can mean "clouds being blown by the wind." In addition to this, the bridge connected to Hiun City is named "Sky Arrow Bridge." So, we obviously have a sky theme going on in these two games in addition to the possible lightening or darkening of it.
