You know, why do we care what type they are? They're gonna be Uber dragons, we all know that. They ALWAYS do that. These days to little kids, dragon = legendary. But we should also worry about those starters, they look like this:

Snakeish thing: Speedy attacker/support with grass/poison or grass/dragon or mono grass. Most likely BL or OU. Stats: 55/85/60/120/85/120 most likely.

Pig thing: Slow tank with fire/ground or fire/rock. Probably UU. Stats: 115/95/70/95/90/60

Otter thing: Rain abuser and speedy attacker most likely water/fighting or water/ice. I'm guessing OU. Stats: 80/55/75/115/75/125

Just an estimate

I remember something about cars being in the game, but I'm not sure. Maybe.. just maybe.. we'll be able to DRIVE AROUND places instead of riding a stupid bike. Yeah, and it would be a key item. The car would somehow fit inside one of the bag's pockets. A Pokécar, so to speak.

You should be able to get guns and steal pokecars. Poketheft Auto.

That was horrible. What is it with me.

I think they should eliminate the mail spot from the bag. I don't know anyone who ever used mail, but it would go in items.

I doubt if this will ever happen, but I would like to see you be able to customize the trainers attire. Shoes, clothes, bike, hats, and etc.

I know they won't be making fully customizable characters anytime soon, but that would be a step up.

I think we discussed this a few hundred pages ago (lol), and I'd love to see something like this happen. Hopefully they make a system that works similarly to Rock Band or even PBR. They only really need a few different body types for each gender, and much of the clothing could be essentially the same image with different colors. They definitely shouldn't do something like letting you design your own clothes or make it like dressing up your Pokemon because that would make it nearly impossible to make the overworld sprites or back sprites. And if there's no continuity between the sprites, I would never use it.

After HGSS and how much emphesis they seemed to put on exercise, I don't think they'll give you a car/scooter/segway. They'll still probably have cars driving down the road (or atleast parked) in Huin City and maybe even something like a subway.

Does anyone remember the speed of Diamond and Pearl, where everything seemed to move at a snails pace? I'm afraid that is going to happen again. It felt like things were moving at less than 20FPS in those versions and it almost ruined my enjoyment of the game.

For those that don't know what I am talking about: Play some D/P (not Platinum), and then play some Emerald. You'll notice how much faster the battles go.

^True, everyone felt DP so slow, and i remember people complaining about big heads for the characters too when it was released. I hope they made them a bit faster, but also extra animations are really appreciated for me.

About transportation, i doubt you get a car! But i hope you can use a train again, with probably more purpose than the Magnet train.

I was worried too, as I had the same problem. However, I noticed an increase in speed with the battles in B/W. (at least from the footage we have) it seems to move the fastest it has so far.

Your fears are well-founded, but from the one move we've seen happen (Raikou's Aura Sphere breaking Zoroark's Illusion), things looked fast enough. Then again, that gameplay footage was steeped in the insanity of Pokemon Sunday, so it's all kind of a blur to me.

Hey, the battle animations seem way faster than Gen IV. (And actually, the japanese Pokemon B/W site actually had the starters firing their battle animations in real time. Razor Leaf/Leaf Storm seemed to actually be going quickly, as were Flamethrower and Water Pulse.)

Game Freak will hopefully not be stupid enough to make stuff D/P slowness in water again. Game Freak is not Sega, people, there is not a "Pokemon Cycle," and we can trust them to at LEAST get their games right. Not perfect or even entirely good, but we can expect Game Freak to make them right.

The battle is clearly faster in B/W; the animations, the HP going down, the text log. Everything is smooth.

We cannot be sure about overworld and Surfing speed, though. But they aren't dumb enough to go all D/P over us again, specially NOT after HGSS.

HGSS ran so smoothly that going back onto Platinum feels like a pain. The bottom screen of HGSS is so useful and it makes using the box unbelievably faster. I was using the box in Platinum and I was like "what the heck...I have to manually drag the Pokemon to their spots one at a time, pressing right, down, down, down (and right if there's a Pokemon already there, two rights if that row has 2 Pokemon, and so on) [using Move Pokemon]." HGSS is so simple with the quick drag and drop. I hope hope HOPE that BW will have the touch screen box.

I never had a problem with speed outside of battle, but the second a battle starts... ugh, it begins. I know exactly what you mean.

The main fault is that the animations are now incredibly sluggish. I recently played my Sapphire cart again, and when I went back to HG, I felt like I had gone into slow-motion. For the best and most obvious comparison: RSE's Fly animation, compared to DPPt. Both in battle and out, it's the same thing... only twice as sluggish! Same goes for all other animations, wether it be Quick attack or Flamthrower.

And we've seen more than just Aura Sphere for a preview, if you haven't, watch this video (battle is at 0:20): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxH8eyCS2lQ
You'll see that both the speed of animation, as well as the crippling lag at the end of nearly every gen4 attack, is much improved! That makes me quite pleased, to be honest.

Yeah, HGSS gave us the semi-automatic Running Shoes. I think they know what we want, and what we want is to spend as little time dicking around as possible.

I know! That's awesome! I don't have to hold B all the time...and the two key item slots. Now I can water my berries AND ride my bike without needing to go into my bag! ...and speaking of bags, they you can push the left and right arrows so you don't have to scroll through every single item! This sounds like America. Things get so simple that the people end up obese.

That's why we have the Pokéwalker and Pokéthlon.

...

Oh Christ they better put the Pokéthlon in these games, if I ever see a Super Contest again, I'm going to kill something.

More like the Industrial Revolution, which from the looks of this game, suits perfectly. xD

The HGSS menus were perfect, and Platinum increased the Surfing speeds, too. I think they received reception that the surfing speed needs to be even faster, so I think they will make it faster.

I'm interested in what "features" the DSi may bring to the game... I think it would be amazing if they did downloadable expansions via the DSi Store, although I'm not sure if that is possible.
