Does anyone know how I could find a shiny flawless spread for Azelf?
I am using Wichu's program (That finds seeds) and cannot get it to output a seed.
Here's what I'm inputting:
Nature: Naive
shiny spread: Y
Input ID number: 29635
input SID number: 08349
input HP damage: (null)
search for exact IVs: Y
HP IV: 31
ATTACK IV: 31
SP.ATTACK IV: 31
DEFENSE IV: 31
SP.DEFENSE IV: 28 (highest possible)
SPEED IV: 31
minimum delay: 20
max delay: 8000
And, of course, no results.

it could be that spread you want does not exist as a shiny one for the ID/SID you input.
What would you suggest doing then?
Just try changing a few IVs around?

I'd lower my expectations and have pokeRNG search for IVs of 20 or more and then you may get a shiny spread for that ID/SID with the nature you want and decent IVs.
How do people get all 31 shiny Azelf then? (except SPD has to be 28 for legality)
They abuse the ID/SID for them, information about this is located on the first page of this thread where most other things are, just scroll down and you should find a post by wildeep about it.

Actually, you should do 33 flips to 67, and then 128 steps with 4 pokemon to make the frame 71.
Wait.. Why is that? I'm stuck on the Island with Darkrai (This is the actual event one, not tweaking glitch) so what can I do with 5 pokes?
I want to learn to RNG catch. I haven't touched any of my legendaries on my Platinum game and I would like to RNG catch my Shaymin. This is a seed calculated from Wichu's program:

I only get a matching entry for Method 1 pokemon, but the guide says Shaymin is Method J. When I try this seed on Method J, I don't get a match on the stats.

did you select modest from the option "Synch nature" in RNG reporter? In order for this spread to exist in method J you have to use a modest synchronizer so if you don't select modest in the Synch nature option it won't show up. So select method J on RNg reporter, input the seed given to you by PokeRNG, select Modest in the option labeled "Synch nature", input the IVs and nature you want, and click generate and you should see it appear starting on frame 374.
I have a specific question about de-tuning the radio to advance the RNG in HGSS which wasn't really elaborated upon in the OP.
Sometimes, when going for the higher frames, I slip up dragging the tuner back to the center, and I land on the unclear station in between instead of the dead air in the middle. Exactly what transition advances the RNG? Is it only tuning from the clear station to dead air? Does it work the same way from clear to unclear? What about unclear to dead air?
I'm just trying to find a way to do this without going up to 299 detunes and then screwing up, thus becoming confused and infuriated. If there's a way to just tap up and down on the d-pad to switch between stations that works that would be great.
Any tips?

Your question was answered already. That's frame 72. With no roamers out, and Darkrai beginning on frame 1, you need only 35 journal flips. No steps.
35*2 + 1 = 71
I'm trying to learn how to RNG in platinum, so i can hatch shiny pokemon with good IV's. I've done the calibration phase already, finding that my delay is somewhere between 591 - 601(from 10 tests). The next step is hitting your target time, but that's where I got lost. What exactly is your target time, and how can I find this out? Sorry for being a noob and asking ridiculously simple questions, but could someone please help me out? :[
The target time is the time in which you need to continue to hit your seed. You need it so you can figure out when you need to continue and hit your spread.
Hmm... Okay, but how do I know what my target time is?
And continuing on from what mzenken said, you find this target time by searching for a Seed (when breeding for IVs) and then using RNG Reporter to figure out the various times and Delay to set the DS to in order to hit that particular Seed.
You need to use RNG Reporter's Time Finder function. Click "Egg IVs", type in the desired spread, and then click generate. You'll get a list of times and spreads.
