Carnivine can get really cool with an evolution. It has an acceptable Ability as it is. It just NEEDS to be dual-typed and probably some better stats, too.

EDIT: Durrrr, I thought Carnivine had Intimidate. Levitate is okay, but of course it happens to be on the one of very few Grass-types NOT paired with Poison...

Dunsparce might be my one. When GSC was first announced (the same happened at RSE) I didn't really check up on my computer for info on the games, I found the information in magazines.

When I first seen Dunsparce, I grew an instant liking to it (after bouncing around the room like a hyper kid at discovering Metal as a new type) I could never explain why, I just did.

Same happened for Carnivine too, though I did like the Bellsprout line. So either of those would do me. Carnivines evo would likely be Grass/Ground imo.

Brock was removed from the Orange Islands arch because they thought it would be a problem in America, not Japan. The Jynx fiasco was started because America audiences don't know about what it was actually based on, so they assumed it was something they knew about.

Why would Brock going the the Orange Islands cause a problem?

this is kind of a weird idea, but what about a bomb pokemon?
steel type
only learns these moves
explosion/self destruct
destiny bond
memento
then probably a signature move like head smash (one with high power, high recoil)

its ability is aftermath

Yes yes yes!

Would love that, though prefer it to be Steel/Fire in reference to FF's Bomb species.

If its got a high speed and destiny bond, one or two could go on my team.

What I really want is Steel/Flying Zepplin and a Steel/Water Tanker Boat pokemon.

I remember hearing about a Fire/Steel bomb a few months (or years) ago. It's a neat idea. Perhaps it could use Flare Blitz and Double-Edge (with or without Rock Head.)

And I think it's funny how only one day has passed since the last leak and we're back to theorymonning. :P

They thought it would be a problem that he was a main character so they made him leave in the second episode of the season. They brought him back for Johto when they realized that people actually like him.

My brother thought of a Fire/Steel bomb Pokemon a while ago. It had an land mine attack that would deal a certain amount of damage to the next Pokemon that switched in but it would go away after 1 hit.

Edit: @ SRS: This should be all of the info we're gonna get until next month.

I saw a fakemon interpretation of Pokabu's final evolution that had its ass as a bomb, with its fuse as a tail, and it was sparking, on fire. I thought was really great. Electrode is pretty close to a bomb, though. It's purpose is to deter you from picking up what doesn't belong to you. A Mimic, if you will. But still. It's whole gimmick is Explosion.

@TheDarkLucario, Mrcombover and access
Beyond the information in the news post, not really.
I shared all the information I had at this point...

...well, there is one thing, but it won't be much shocking, neither will the skeptics suddenly become believers, because
1)it's been a long-time rumor already, and
2)I only know for certain they're considering it, not if it will make it.

But ok, what I do know:
There's been a rumor floating around for a long time that Pokémon Black and White will introduce an 18th elemental type, being the Light-type.

Yes, Game Freak is considering implementing an extra type into the game.
BUT, at this point it is not certain if it will actually make it into the game.

Like I said, nothing shocking, but just telling you what I do and don't know about it.

You're welcome to ask me anything, and I will write everything down to try and get that information, but at this moment, most things beyond the "black and white theme" and "field items" (not weather items) my answer is alas that I don't know for certain.
From the guy who talked about the Tauros evo. Seems either in Gen 5 or Gen 6 we will get a new type.

Thoughts?

I don't believe him, as per usual. I wish such a nice guy would stop this sorta thing. :/ I guess the "field items" are the "new battle mechanic" he promised for sure, so that's one thing we can judge whether or not he was telling the truth when the game is released. "Black and white theme" is still really vague and is probably expected at this point anyway, like I said earlier.

So it's from the same person who showed us the terrible Tauros evo? That right there makes me think it's bull-shit. Even without knowing that, things like Hidden Power will have to be reprogrammed and all of the Pokemon that have been bred for a specific HP will be screwed.

Hes a fortune teller. He speaks only in vague predictions which are likely true. I wouldn't be suprised if Gamefreak really was thinking about a new type. Any sane company would. It improves games. The point is how to time it.

I'm guessing that our 18th type will happen in Gen 6. Gen 5 would be rushing to get it in (unless they're keeping it under wraps. If so, Grey's legend MUST be the type.)

I don´t think they intrduce a light type anddont give it to Reshi. Though a light dark Legendary as the third of the trio would be awesome.

Also i just want to say that a water/electric cloud-thingy with levitate (or drizzle, just for the lulz, but meh..) and very low weight at 130 base Speed and 110+ base SpA would be epic. I really want that to happen.

(+first post after lurking for a while and stuff, hi guys)

Welcome to Smogon, G.I.R.

Anyways, one thing that we can talk about is this:

Pokebeach said:
Zorua and Zoroark are event-exclusive Pokemon. They do not appear during normal gameplay, at least in Black and White. Therefore, you can only get the two if you preorder a ticket to The Ruler of Illusions: Zoroark and trade over one of the shiny Legendary Beasts (to encounter Zoroark) and if you download the movie Celebi from the theaters and trade it over (to get Zorua).

Yep, that's pretty lame. Apparently Zoroark's Night Burst attack lowers the opponent's accuracy. =/

I'm furious that its an Event one...

I'm just gonna AR and catch a low level one in the wild. Problem solved.

Just because there MIGHT be a new type doesn't mean it would be Light. Then again, I have no idea what they would introduce as a new type. Not a one...
Yeah, he never said what it would be, just a new type.

EDIT: Apparantly, hes the real deal, in terms of being an insider. He still hasnt proven his claims however, so everyone should make of that what they will.

We don't need another type :P

Some types are weaker than others but it isn't as bad as RBY's Psychic dominated metagame. They could just improve the types we already have, such as making Poison resist Dragon. That alone would make it popular. We could improve Ice by giving it another one or two USEFUL resistances.

Also, removing Stealth Rock would be great...for everyone.

And I'm extremely unhappy about Zorua being event only...this isn't going along a good route, non-legendary Pokemon being event only...a few gens later we could have 1/4 of the Pokemon event only :(

They really should just make it so it's not super effective on anything. It's already got an advantage over Spikes since it can hit airborne Pokemon. Maybe make it cause more damage to them and that's it. Still sucks to be a Flying-type and it would become sucky to be a Levitator but at least it wouldn't be AS crippling (and that would also make Munna's pointless Levitate Worry Seed have a point).

You really hate rocks don't you? Almost every post you make it's about banning/omitting rocks.

Anyone think they're ever gonna bring in ??? as an official type?
