I wouldn't mind having these being the basis as the new legends, especially since they were the gods from FFXI (if anyone played that game and remembers them...). I still would love seeing these as being Genbu (I think that is the turtle's name...) being Ice/steel, the bird (forgot name) being Fire/Flying, tiger being Steel, and the dragon being Dragon, maybe given a secondary typing, maybe Grass since it represents spring?

EDIT: Just realized that the turtle would get killed by fire and fight (hopefully it would have huge Def and SpD to make up for it), the bird gets killed by SR, and the dragon has a lot of weaknesses...

If they did these, I was actually hoping for a pure typing for each. Flying for the bird, Normal for the Tiger, Dark for the Turtle and Dragon for the dragon... course this probably eliminates the middle dragon but whatever lol

Last gen they had legends including Phione. Could easily do Reshi/Zek plus 3rd and a trio along with the BST 600 legendary AND throw in these 4/5.

Also, I think 651 would be a good number to stop at. That'd give us 158 new pokemon, enough ideas for everyone's happiness.

Hm, what do you guys think this is? It's so small in comparison to everything and it just looks so barren...
I think it's the E4...

I think 601 would be the best number to stop at. Nice and round(ish) to keep my OCD at bay, as well as adding another good 108 possible pokemon to choose from. I wouldn't be upset if they added more than that, but 158 is just way too many for one gen. It'd just be a bit too...overwhelming. Plus, the more saturated the pokemon pool gets, the less special each individual new pokemon becomes, and the more likely we'll end up with tons of pokemon with absolutely no niche whatsoever (both competitively and in-game)

I'm predicting that's the desert where you get Megukoro and (hopefully) some fossil Pokemon.

I recently had an idea for a new setup the Elite Four could have. Wouldn't it be cool if, instead of all of them being inside one building, you hopped on a warp pad and got transported to where each one of them was training? They could each be on top of some high cliff or otherwise unreachable area...maybe you could even see some landmarks you recognized in the distance. The Ice type leader might be on top of an iceberg, the Ground type one could be in the desert, etc. No difference in actual function, but it would just look a lot better and make more sense. I mean, these guys want to be the best trainers out there, so why are they always sitting inside a building instead of training out in the wilderness?

Edit: Ooooops, misjudged where your arrow was pointing. Anyway, what DDRMaster said.

Geral Tso, I think it's more likely that the tiger would be pure Steel since it represents the metal element.

Ericcc, I really think that you're going to start off in the small town and the bottom right, so it wouldn't make sense for the Pokemon League to be right there. I think that's just some sort of large building like the place you get Rotom in DPPt.

Edit: McLuvdisc, that could be cool, they might even make one of them just be on top of a random cliff that you can't get up and you'd be like "WTF, is that guy a glitch like the guy on the top of Cinnabar Gym?" and then you'd get to the Pokemon League and finally realize who he/she was.

Am I the only one who wonders why the hell is there a pokeball in the middle of isshu? It looks like its a giant version of the National Park plus it is its own island! There is some kind of structure but its to blurry to tell what the hell it is. Looks like some ruin-tower thing

I'd do Flying/Fire (sadly) for the bird, Steel/Normal for tiger, Dark/Water for tortoise or Dark/psychic for the 4x weakness, Dragon/Grass for Dragon. Center dragon is Ground. Pure Ground, to avoid repeats with Dragon/Grass mon.

Interesting idea, though.

I was looking at the map of Isshu again (specifically the carnival) and I thought of something. They should let you ride the rides with your Pokemon and it will raise their happiness. If they allow this for all of the Pokemon, then they would comceivably need overworld sprites for all of them and thus, they would be able to allow your Pokemon to follow you like in HGSS. I admit, we have no idea what's really even in that city so we can't be sure if you can even ride anything in the first place.

I'd rather legendaries not have quad weaknesses heh.

If we go based pure color though it'd be Fire, Water, Dark and Normal (or Steel although where are you guys finding the Tiger is associated with Steel?)

Why does one of them have to be Normal? Aside from making a Normal legendary that's not Regigigas or Arceus.

If they were to use both dragons, I wouldn't want the same types and Normal is just a go-to typing for me because it is the "White" Tiger.

Speaking of quad weaknesses, what the hell is the point of Psychic type anymore when the Ghost type is basically the same thing but better? Awhile ago, I was thinking, "Oh joy! Perhaps we can get a Psychic/Ghost! Like, some sort of seance Pokemon!" But then I was like, "Crap, 4x weak to Dark and Ghost, and that type coverage is pretty mediocre."

digimon is pure win, and now that pokemon is starting to use digimons for they boxarts...well....lets just say pokemon is back on track.

so i have being thinking about a t-rex pokemon....

Can't really tell how big this region is by just looking at the map. Maps like Johto in art seem gigantic, but in the end routes are very small. Probably we get more exploration now instead of routes? we will have to wait.

What i can say by looking at it, is the notable lack of more cities and towns, let alone another city of the same size as the first.

Fuck indeed. As if that wasn't bad enough, the only way to get more Zoroark is to breed the female event Zoroark with the male event Zorua, which, according to the plot of the movie, is supposed to be its child.

Say it with me now, kids: EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

lol

But there's always Ditto, or any male in Zoroark's egg group.

Hmm, anyone else think the region looks...odd? I don't really know what I'm talking about but it's a bit...unnatural. I can't put my feelings into words. Looks like a park or something...everything perfectly cut out and all that :O

Yeah, I'm not too crazy about 1 huge city, but the rest of the region looks mostly barren except for like 1 other city. The region doesn't look very busy, or at least the busyness isn't evenly placed. Look at some other regions:

They have more big cities that are clearly visible. You can clearly see Pewter, Cerulean, Saffron, Celadon, and Fuchsia in Kanto, and you can clearly see Lilycove, Slateport, Rustboro, and the volcano in Hoenn. But I can only see two cities in Isshu and if they are big, then I don't want to know how huge those deserts, waterways, and mountains would be (with all those wild Pokemon...just waiting...waiting to ANNOY ME TO DEATH OMG THEY BETTER MAKE WILD POKEMON BATTLES WAY SHORTER (like my idea with a popup menu that asks you whether you want to fight the Pokemon or not)).

EDIT: Repels are still annoying and cost too much.

I'm kinda hoping for a JRPG-style thing, that if your lead pokemon is at a WAY higher level than the random mon, it just gives you the EXP and lets you continue on your way, no screen change, no battle. Thoughts?

Yeah, I feel exactly the same way. Aside from Huin city, I can't see many, if any, areas on that map that can be classified as a town or city. Sure, there are several places with solitary buildings. There's that harbor "village" with the lighthouse, the carnival place, and some places with a tower or something, but this region looks pretty much devoid of towns. A single dwelling does not constitute a town. Maybe this game involves more free-roaming, instead of the linear routes and towns that have restricted our adventuring in Pokemon in the past.

That would draw the fun out of the game i think.
