Can anyone suggest a good moveset for a Double Battle charizard?

BellyZard seems like it'd be too vulnerable--Charizard is by no means bulky to begin with.

Hey.
I'm quite new to Pokemon and even more to competitive play, and I have question.

Let's think that I have a Lv 25 Magmar and I want to speed train him. And my choice is to train with Crobats, that give 3 speed points.

Isn't it better to battle low level Crobats, as I will get more points than battling high level Crobats? I mean, the points will be the same, but with low level Crobats I have to battle more and thus, gonna get more points.

It doesn't matter what level the opponent is unless you go over the maximum level you want to train the pokemon to. Assuming you are trying to train a pokemon as high as possible, you can battle a higher level pokemon to get more experience, while they give the same stat experience.

On the other hand, the higher the level of your opponent, the more difficult the battle will be, and battling Lv. 30 crobats (or whatever) is much less efficient than battling the elite four for the experience, and may take more time to fight than battling Lv. 2 Rattatas (my speed pokemon of choice).

I consider Kanga more well-rounded; Blissey is afraid of Fighting moves and Wiggly lacks any offensive power.

Ultimately, you're completely correct--I do have better options. It's just a matter of personal preference B)

Usually, if personal preference takes priority in competitive play, that's hindering your potential, but it is completely up to you either way

I agree, but I also want to stress the point that I honestly believe that Kangaskhan is a highly underrated Pokemon. Blissey might be better against special attackers for the role, but Kanga isn't forced to switch by physical attackers, and it does just fine in OU. In fact, I redact what I said earlier--I think Kangaskhan is the best option.

For some odd reason it seems you're only considering Normal types, and if this is for OU, there are a lot of other options for Wish users

Question!

I have finally come up with a team for the HeartGold Battle Tower that makes use of the Nincada family, and I want some opinions on it. Don't even bother telling me that it's gimmicky, I know.

-Lead-
Ninjask - Leftovers
Jolly - 248 HP 4 Def 252 Spe
Protect
Swords Dance
Substitute
Baton Pass

This is a pure Baton Pass set, designed to pass on a few Speed and Attack boosts, and hopefully a Substitute as well.

-Sweeper-
Nincada - Metronome
Adamant - 252 HP 252 Atk 4 SpD
Double Team
Fury Cutter
Dig
Metal Claw/Aerial Ace/Faint Attack

The goal here is to get a few Speed and Attack boosts from Ninjask and hopefully a Substitute, then I could either raise Evasion if I'm in an advantageous scenario, or start pelting the foe with repeated attacks. Metal Claw looks good for the possible Attack boost if I need it, Metronome packs a punch more so than a Choice Band if I really get going, and Compoundeyes makes it so Fury Cutter and Metal Claw have 100% Accuracy.

-Revenge Killer-
Shedinja - Focus Sash
Adamant - 252 Atk 252 Spe 4 SpD
Double Team
Will-o-Wisp
X-Scissor
Shadow Sneak

Same as my Swords Dance Shadow Sneak X-Scissor Will-o-Wisp set, except Double Team is the replacement for Swords Dance. This is where things get even more gimmicky than Nincada. Usually I have a Shedinja that boosts it's own Attack, so in this scenario, it is extremely important to receive a Ninjask Baton Pass, and very important also to receive a Substitute.

Thoughts?

Yes, I would say it is better. You receive less exp which means you can obtain more EVs before levelling up.

Err IMO I prefer this EV set 136 HP / 80 Def / 40 SpD for better defence, but yours is fine if you want a bulkier substitute to be passed. 136 HP gives him 297 HP though, not a nice Seismic Toss number in case leftovers gets cancelled by weather or something.

Re-asking my question in a slightly different way:

Is BellyZard viable for Double battles? If not, can anyone suggest a moveset that is?

you say "I have to battle more" (for lower lv Crobats)
I don't get that, the max unseful EVs you can get per stat is 252, so even if you battle and defeat more crobats if wouldn't make a difference in the long run

Belly Drummers would most probably get focus fired. On the other hand, Charizard could be a decoy to let his partner set up etc. Maybe even 2 Drummers on the field together would work good?

He probably meant battle more to level up.

I mean, if (i.e.) Magmar have to beat 10 Lv 20 Crobats to level up (thus, getting 30 EVs), isn't it better to battle 20 Lv 10 Crobats? (So it will get 60 EVs).

Think that Azbycx got it.
