The former is bulkier the latter is faster, so it all depends on which of those two qualities you prefer. I would pick the latter

It was never coded into Shoddy. It's definitely not banned. It's also exceedingly difficult to come by (legally) for Wi-Fi battles (events or a crazy amount of credits in PBR, IIRC).
Its utility also isn't that great--either the super-effective hit will KO you (in which case, no recovery), it'll do very little damage because it was a weak move / your defenses are awesome (in which case, wasted), or it'll get you down to low HP, in which case a Sitrus Berry would have worked equally well.
err sorry to bother people but how do you get the winners path event in ss, like how do you unlock mystrey gift?

Mystery Gift is automatically unlocked when you get your Pokedex in HGSS. Just make sure you have your Wi-Fi configured correctly, then select "Mystery Gift" from the start menu and "Recieve Gift from Wi-Fi" (IIRC).

I think Timer or Repeat looks best, it's a tough decision between those two though

How far do I have to be in HG/SS to use Mystery Gift?

The Qualot Berry is found on Hoenn Field, which is a Pokewalker Route in HG.
In Platinum, you can get it from the Berry Master.
In either version, you can win it from Pal Park.
Are the natures of the dragons for the HGSS Arceus event fixed? This sounds kind of stupid, but I'd figure I ask anyway. I'm trying to get a Giratina-O with a certain nature, but I keep getting the same things: Timid, Relaxed, Rash, Quirky, Naughty, Naive, Lonely, Impish, and Hasty. I saved before entering the ruins, and I've done the thing over a dozen times, and I keep getting one of these exact natures. Is it just my luck or are there just certain natures that either dragon does/doesn't get via the Arceus event?
If I DON'T drop Milotic or Gyarados, where is the best place I can stick a ghost type?

I'd say Celebi because you already have a fire-lure and water resist. Unless Perish Song is very helpful, though Mismagius can learn it too.
