Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Ahaha. Changed date to 2006. Hit the seed on the first try. =D

Now all I gotta do is call Joey 56 times.

Anyway, thanks Shadow and Human. <3 you.

No, neither of the parents were holding items. I didn't check the international box, and I'm pretty sure the Ditto I'm using isn't an international one...

Come to think about it, you're abusing for an eevee right ?
Did you put the gender ratio to 87,5% male 12,5% female ?

Do you start your game with the parents already in the daycare ?
(I ask this because you say you already abused for IV's by doing everstone method, so you might not be aware that you have to put the parents in the daycare AFTER you get into the game, plus you mention biking right away after checking seed)

If not, then I don't know, you're obviously doing something wrong but that's all I could think of

No, I put them in the daycare after...and yeah, I know I must be doing something wrong, but I can't work out what either. :/

The only thing I can think of is that maybe the Ditto I have is international after all and I don't know it - I'll check with the guy I got it from. Thanks for trying to help though. :)

EDIT: It was an international Ditto...everything makes sense now x_x

Okay I saved in front of Ho-oh, now when I rng does the monster frame of Ho-oh happen when I talk to it or when I come up the ladder?
Additionally say I want frame 8 would I stop on 7 with the elm calls then approach or climb?

Hi, I'm doing an RNG breed in SS, and am RNGing for nature for the first time (previously I've just used the normal Everstone method, but decided to switch to RNG after 50 Eevees came up wrong...) So in RNG Reporter I've gone into the shiny egg tab under time finder, put in the nature I want (Timid), put random numbers in the ID/SID boxes as I don't want it shiny, and picked a seed with a frame of 1. I've then gone through the process of hitting the correct delay, verifying my seed with Elm calls, riding around til the egg turns up, saving before picking up and then hatching and every single time it's been the wrong nature! I used one seed twice, then a different seed altogether, and it still didn't work - I never received any phone calls while riding around, and didn't think there was anything else that could get in the way. I've checked and re-checked the guides and videos and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong...can anyone shed some light on my predicament? I've RNGd IVs before and it's worked fine...

Moussaka, did you check to see if the wrong-natured pokemon might actually be in the frames for that seed? If the NPC south of the daycare moved even once, you could miss your egg by one or two frames.

It's fairly easy to tell even without an AR. You look at the frames of that seed and check the characteristic of your hatched egg to see if you got an egg a frame or two later. If you can confirm that you were indeed getting an egg on your seed and which frame you landed on, you might make some headway.

If you can't find a poke even in that seed, then check the dates and times of RNG Reporter and also your DS.

Yes, you stop at frame 7, climb the ladder and talk to Ho-Oh.

what i did is save in a shop with only one npc and save so that once i enter the game, the npc takes 1 step w/o turning, advancing the frame by 1. that way, you do 56 journal flips and take the egg after the npc has moved. good luck rnging jirachi.

Ok, I did what you said... I resetted a couple of times to make sure the NPC only moved forward after I started the game. Every time I missed my delay, the NPC moved as I wanted it to. But, when I actually hit my delay, the NPC moves and turns at the same time, which in turn causes me to miss my frame. I don't know how to get around this. Is re-saving the only solution, or should I try to abuse it on my Soul Silver instead?

No. Nidoqueen always hatches Nidoran-F and Nidoking always hatches Nidoran-M.
Therefore Nidoran-M has no Egg moves available, Nidoran-F does though.

Actually I have seen that Nidoran-M has egg moves and for the longest I wondered how. The only way is that if Nidoqueen hatches both Nidorans. That's the only way I can see him having something like counter and head smash.

Questions regarding Pikatimer:

When I update the timer with the other Delay Option, does it change both timers or just the second one? Do I have to update the first timer manually? How do I figure out how much I have to update it by?

I have read that inserting a GBA game in the slot will change whether I get an odd or even delay. I always get an even delay and want an odd so have put emerald into slot 2 however I am still getting an even delay. Any reason why this is happening?.... I am RNG abusing on diamond.

I can't find seeds for Shiny Suicune with 31/31/31/30/31/31 Bold HP Elec 70. I think I've even tried without the Shiny thing and it can't find ANYTHING on it.

Am I supposed to use another tool? Another date/weird years? I can't even get to verify if my seconds/delay are right because I don't have a seed to start with.

edit: I guess this goes for all the other stationary legendaries I'm gonna do, too.

anyone?

How can I RNG for a Flawless Ditto in the D/P Trophy Garden? I already know how to hit and confirm delays, as well as how to advance the Frame. What else do I need to know/do?

The following is the seed I'm trying to hit for Jirachi in Diamond:

mail

I'm in Jubilife's POkemart, where only the blond guy moves.
For some reason, my delay in Diamond is very inconsistent (ranging from 624-629), which was not the case in PLatinum (600-601 at most)
So there's no way of telling, before doing 236 page flips, if I got my delay correctly, when using method one?

@Redcodekevin, that's true. All you can really do is do the page flips and collect your Jirachi. Not only do you have to hope you hit your seed, you have to hope that the nature (which is randomly generated, and to my knowledge, we can't abuse this yet) is favorable as well. Luckily, Jirachi can run a whole bunch of sets, but even with that, Jirachi is a huge pain in the ass to RNG well, as is any random nature wondercard.

Hey Bearsfan,

Thanks for the answer. A couple more questions:

Where does the knowledge of random-nature come from? I had no idea that the nature could not be controlled. This means that choosing a nature when generating spreads only limits options, right?

EDIT: BTW kudos for your youtube videos, they were very helpful when starting.

Curious as to whether this can be done or not:
Is it possible to control which Pokemon Backlot tells you is in the Trophy Garden?
E.g. Can I somehow abuse it so I can get him to tell me there are Eevee there today?

Through RNG, not that I know of, but you can simply save in front of him and talk to him until he tells you that there are Eevees, and if not, you simply SR and try again. Keep in mind that the garden will always keep the last two pokemon that Backlot mentions, so if you already had Backlot telling you that Eevee is there and after that something else, Eevees are still there.
