Well, it seems people on Serebiiforums are guessing the goth girl might be a female-only evo to Meditite.

Well, Medicham really looks like her, as I was saying before about her face. Could we expect a special version of Pure Power? ~__~
 
The humanoid wearing black does look a good bit like a Kirlia, but I'm wondering if it might be a Banette evolution instead. Of course, it's probably just a new Pokémon unrelated to any existing ones.

I'm hoping that I was wrong about no new evolutions of old Pokémon this generation, if only so that the new Spider Pokémon can be an Ariados evolution.

That's a frightening prospect if it had Aura Sphere/good special fighting move along with Psychic and Shadow Ball.

I never noticed Ariados's 5th and 6th legs were on top of its body. I suppose this could actually be an Ariados evo, but why bug/electric from bug/poison. I suppose the typing isn't confirmed, but still. Either way, I like both of them; Ariados and this new guy.

edit:we need a gundam pokemon, he got a laser rifle, a beam sword, jet shoes, cool looking metal armor and a ability that turn him into a giant sized supersonic airplane.
 
Yeah it might easily be a Jynx evolution or a Smoochum alternate evolution. If it gets anything approaching decent special attack and speed stats and retains ice STAB (maybe turning into Ice/Dark?) and keeps Lovely Kiss/Nasty Plot, it would be an absurdly threatening sweeper. Edit: The White mascot already looks like a Gundam...
 
but does he got a beam sword and a laser rifle? can someone get inside his head and control him? does he work by battery? i dont think so.

if he does though then i will make sure to blow up the entire pokemon world with him.

edit:ok so weapons are stupid, but we need a steel type pokemon who actually dont look alive.
 
I dunno if I saw a fucking metagross floating down the street I wouldn't think "that looks alive", I'd think "holy shit where's MIB".
 
triple battles arn't really sitting well with me, but I didn't like Double battles either and they don't bother me in game (due to there being so few of them). hopefully they don't pump the game full of double and triple battles, just to show it off.

the new Pokmeon, while overwhelming at first, definitely grew on me.

Mantis dragon - I really don't like it's colour scheme, but it's overall design is no more outrageous then Tyranitar's. Looks to be part Bug, and by it's overall look I would say it's the Psudo of this gen.

big Mole - I... really don't know. I think moles are bad ass, so that's a plus, and it's claws are neat... but it's metal head thing. it protrudes, and looks pretty odd. not really bad, just sort of awkward looking. chances are I'll like it once I see official art. I'm thinking part Steel, maybe Steel/Dark. it's prevo looks pretty good from the back sprite, though.

Sarcophagus - it's awesome. I love it. a lot. it's just so goofy; it has the shadow hands all wiggling around, and it's a fucking SARCOPHAGUS! I want one. obviously Ghost type, maybe Rock or Ground in addition to that.

Spider - can't really get a good look at it, so I can't judge. apparently it's electric/bug, which is cool. so yeah, I'll wait on this one.

Green slime thing - unlike a lot of people, I love this thing. it's adorable! it reminds me of a genie, or a pollen cloud. I would say Grass, and based on it's overall look, Grass/Ghost.

spiky rock thing- I don't even know here. it has the same colours as Probopass, and seems to be made of rock, but overall it doesn't look like it. more like Metagross in it's stance and legs, but it's body is kinda different... I don't really like it... obviously part Rock type, but Rock/Steel is likely, which makes it more like Probopass...

layered dress girl pokemon- looks pretty alright. I think it will be a new Pokemon, and not an evolution of something else (though if it was, I would guess another Krilia side evo) if I had to guess, I'd say Dark/Ghost or Dark/Psychic.

even if people don't like the designs, the amount of content and gameplay features they are adding is enough reason to still buy the game.

EDIT: Notice how in the triple battle you're fighting the female main character? either this is a Wifi battle, or that the opposite gender character is going to be your rival. (or at least can be battled in game without being a full rival). maybe there is more than one rival? I want that.
 
one thing to remind you guys of is that we can still use pokemons from gen 4 and below, so if you dont feel like playing with gen 5 pokemons just grab your AR and hack the fuck out of the game.

If they follow the same 2 v 2 mechanics, 3 v 3 battles are just too much. Explosion becomes utterly broken unless its power is reduced somehow, Blizzard/Surf/Earthquake need an even bigger power reduction, and obscure strategies like Trick Room become insanely viable because of the increased size of the "field"; a Follow Me Togekiss, Trick Room Dialga, and [insert powerful TR sweepers here] would be very successful. Teams could feasibly run Double or even Triple Explosion (Metagross/Gengar/Azelf = lol). Protect becomes the best move in the game...man, so many implications...
 
I feel like this batch doesn't have the characteristic Pokemon charm that older Pokemon have. One or two of them (particularly the mantis and the green thing on the left of the 3 on 3 battle) seem more like Digimon to me. I'm slightly horrified. But I complained when Drapoin was first shown too, and the other Pokemon turned out ok.
