Thang! I mention digimon here and everyone gets confused, upset and afraid! For A change read what I said. I said the future pokemon games could be even more interesting if pokemon had various forms instead of 1,2,3 stage sereis all the time, this is something the gamefreak company had already started in 3rd generation with deoxys, continued with giratina and shaymin in 4th gen. All I'm saying is instead of just legendaries having different forms, make other cool pokemon have variable forms, I'll use a favorite. ground/water GARSHARK, the alternate longer mouth shark form of Garchomp!

Hey, you guys seen this yet? Still not confirmed, but it looks pretty legit if you ask me. I believe it. Which kinda sucks, since the Tsutarja evolution kinda sorta blows. But the Mijumaru one isn't bad, but honestly, anything is an improvement over Mijumaru. Also, bat thing (Zubat replacement?) and what I'd say is something that looks like a first-stage "pseudo-legendary" Pokemon.

Actually, I think it would be cool if they introduced entry hazards that inflict other status conditions that were consumable.

Like say Static Web (I like how that sounds better than thunder web) Paralyzes but only one time. And give a rather low PP amount. Say under 5, maybe 1 or 2, and further limit the number of PPups that can be used on it.

Burn and Confusion could get things easily enough and maybe even something to mess with stats. E.g. Focused Light lowers Accuracy for the next Pokemon to come in. (I know we don't deal with the Accuracy thing here but Nintendo does)

Another neat idea would be Exit Hazards. Things that injure, or status, retreating Pokemon but not incoming ones.

If it has a consume rate of 1, then what makes that move better than say, Thunder Wave, Confuse Ray, etc? Yes, it does somewhat control the opponent's next switch in, but unless you're not faced by an immediate threat, I don't see too much use for a move like this. And if it's consume rate was more than 1, I'd say that move is broken.

in order:fail, yes and meh

fail:forms are only given to specific pokemons in specific situations with specific requirements, normal pokemons getting a mode/form/whatver you want to call just because it would look cool is NOT a good enough reason. deoxys is a fucking alien that change form with meteorites. shaymin use its magic flower to fly and sound like a boy, giratina need his orb to change form in the first place, i doubt gamefreak would bother to make orbs for each pokemon only for the sake of making look even more like digimon.

yes:we saw this pic already manson.

meh:i would rather stay away from any discussion evolving this pic.

edit:they never reveal most of the dex? well we already got more then 15 pokemons, this will probably continue until 30 or something like that and then the game will come out with the entire dex.

@Saif
I love magnezone too but I'm sorry, better than skarmory, that's fake. Yet again no one clearly reads what I say here, I said If skarmoy where to evolve to a stage two(In which I know he won't, possibly one at the max) he will be Argubly one of the best steel types, reason, with a base stat at around 470. it's still used a lot in major gameplay, therefore if it evolves to around 525 base, It's already massive 140 base defense will shoot to 155, and it's lower base hp and sp.def will increase and not mention it will gain a very decent 100 base attack! thus making him an awesome fighter not just for stealth attacks but for bravebird attacking as well!

I missed quite a few pages... thought I was keeping up with the thread and of course I miss the pages with the one thing I thought interesting enough to post. Albeit, there's not much to discuss besides "hey that's interesting think it's fake?" "i don't know maybe it is maybe it isn't I like x but I hate y", so discussion wouldn't really be productive.

I think that the pic Manson found was real. If so I will have to rethink my starter choice as the water type looks like water fighting which initself is a pretty epic type.

Now that Triple Battles are confirmed, I hope they fix the dialogue boxes that appear between rounds.

Can you imagine how much battles would last if, Arceus forbid, they act like they currently do?

Example:

Round finishes.
Hail continues…
Pokémon 1 is hurt by Hail!
Pokémon 2 is hurt by Hail!
Pokémon 3 is hurt by Hail!
Pokémon 4 is hurt by Hail!
Pokémon 5 is hurt by Hail!
Pokémon 6 is hurt by Hail!
Pokémon 1 is healed by Leftovers!
Pokémon 2 is healed by Leftovers!
Pokémon 3 is healed by Leftovers!
Pokémon 4 is healed by Leftovers!
Pokémon 5 is healed by Leftovers!
Pokémon 6 is healed by Leftovers!
Select your moves…

Add of course a couple of seconds between each message (and THAT'S if you have animations off). The fact that it hasn't been changed in 4 generations doesn't give me much hope. On the other hand, since Double Battles usually last less than 20 turns, logic dictates that Triple Battles will last even less.

@lucalibar
Consider this. scyther and scizor. this is a trade evolution with metal coat, however his 500 base stat dosen't increase but his type and stat arrangement changes(takes it's 105 speed stat and puts it on defense and attack.) Even this new pokemon that was revealed, it looks like a form of nosepass or beldum(like others previosly mentioned) It could evolve from stupid probobass or it could be like glalie and froslass(optional evolution from snorunt) Or a whole new pokemon. Can't be sure until they reveal more.

Saw that the other day. Part of me wants it to be real, and part of me doesn't. Koromori (Literally Round Bat) looks pretty neat, and I'd love a Zubat replacement. The other thing beside the uninspired girl reminds me of one of those dinosaurs with one horn on the head and two near the mouth. But it could easily be a prevolution to Ononokusu, if it's real.

Is it? Dunno. They don't look reasonably fake, but then, why would they? Pokébeach seems to have discounted the rumor, for what it's worth.

edit:they never reveal most of the dex? well we already got more then 15 pokemons, this will probably continue until 30 or something like that and then the game will come out with the entire dex.

Exactly. IIRC, the biggest number of pre-release pokémon we had was 31 with D/P. That's 28.97% of the new pokémon. We're three months from release with 22 revealed already, even if 5th Gen has 100 new pokémon, they surely won't reveal 29 more for a total of 51 (thus being the majority). They have/want to keep a certain secrecy to them, otherwise it'd be no fun.

The rumors (among the already confirmed ones) were that there were 150-200 new pokemon this generation, if that's true, I don't see gamefreak being chintzy with new details.

157, to be exact. This one was posted on 2ch (or was it 2chan?) along with another ones which got confirmed already (Araragi, triple battles). The only things the poster got wrong was Mijumaru being a tadpole and Tsutarja being called Tsuruusha. But well, maybe he just didn't know a better word to describe Mijumaru and couldn't read Tsutarja's name correctly.

Alrigyht! Here's something to think about for future generation pokemon. Though Digimon is like a copy of pokemon(the two borrow ideas and art styles from each other anyway) I say pokemon company should make various forms for past pokemon like digimon, and I'll explain. You have greymon, wargreymon, skullgreymon. this is agumon's last stage but in different forms(not counting in fusion forms) So, what pokemon company could do is like for example, Charizard blaze mode, Dragon/Fire type and rearranged base stats. this shouldn't be considered an evolution but a form change like Deoxys, shaymin, and giratina.Give Charizard fire stone to change it's form or something. they can do this for many other pokemon to expand the variaty of game play!

And Game Freak said no!

We have enough forms of evolution, i'm tired of trading, buying stones, using items, berries... etc etc

Bring back trades. If you don't have friends with Pokemon then tough on you. The Pokedex should be HARD to complete and we need more version exclusives. I love version exclusives.

Jesus mother effing christ.
The evolutions (if true) are better than I expected.
Mijumaru's evo reminds me of Meowth, a LOT!
Tsutaja's evo is pretty amazing, as expected d:
And I don't see Pokabu's... Maybe they're saving the best for last, (;
Nice find! Although they're just rumors, we can hope.

EDIT;
The flying bat sort of thing looks like it could be an alternate Mankey evolution... Just saying

EDIT 2;
Looking back on it now, I've completely changed my mind about Tsutaja's second type. I'm going to say (based on this image) that his second type when evolved is Dark.

EDIT 3; lol
Mijumaru looks like it's part fighting... from this [fake?] picture.

It's possible that it is real, but I doubt it and I genuinely hope it is fake. Mijumara goes from being but ugly to the only half decent one. Tsutarja evolution has way too much color compared to the other Pokemon.

@Mariachi
Why does everyone keep saying game freak isn't going to do this when they already are making pokemon have different forms and not technicaly evolutions. It's Ok dude. Game freak company knows that you have to introduce new additions to the game to make the pokemon series continue.

On another note, 3 vs. 3 battling and 5th generation's increased graphical movements! , can't keep stiff pokemon picture animations anymore with the new graphic technology for hand held systems on the rise. The other day I was watching my brother play final fantasy IV for the Nintendo DSI. talk about real animated movement! that game has it! Way better than pokemon battle graphics for the DS. Imagine future pokemon games with battle revolution graphics on the Nintendo 3ds. The game will be able to attract new pokemon players with these additions, and for veteran players, we can enjoy a beautiful graphic effect game with fresh new game play features as well. This I really look forward to!

the image could possible be real.. i mean.. water/fighting.. grass/dark.. making the fire starter fire/psychic. so our comments about making the "circle of types" reversible.

I do hope its fake.. because i want that grass starter to be awesome.. but considering the pokemon released already.. and how retarded and disappointing they look imo.. i wouldn't be surprised by this.. the artwork has been horrible so far.. its not pokemon.. its not even yu-gi-oh. its choppy, rushed, rough-draft looking doodles.

but that image does make me love the water starter, an awesome water/fighting would be nice. Also.. reminds me of marshtomp.

Anyone think there might be a possibility of finally having a Fire/Bug type? I like the idea of a Fire ant pokemon. The typing might suck, but I think its a cool concept anyway.

We already got a Water/Bug in Surskit/Masquerain, So why not a Electric/Bug Type as well. Volbeat and Illumise could have been great for this but they screwed that up.

It would be so ironic if this were to happen... But a psychic pig? I mean...

And it reminds me a LOT of Marshtomp too. Hm... but it has whiskers

Spoink/Grumpig = Psychic Pig.

I still believe that Pokabu will be Fire/Ground, Water type will be Water/Fighting and the Grass will be Grass/? Don't know what fits well with that circle. Steel?
