World Cup: South Africa 2010 - Paul and Spain win!

Sigh... That was rather unfortunate. Spain entered strong and could have scored, but we evened up at the 10 minute mark and it was an open game from then on. But after Spain's goal in the second half, we just crashed. Probably due to the subs, Danny didn't played for shit and didn't contribute at all.

I also got the feeling the goal was offside, but I didn't watched the replay, can anyone confirm?

Also, fuck that red card. And they say WE dive.

it was offside..very close, maybe 20 cm but still offside....oh well seems threre is a little curse on this WC because of all this mistakes the referees make.

Does anyone know what happened, that Costa got sent off?
I just saw a bad ass dive (congratz Spain, you got 2 players sent off because of diving in 4 matches, amazing rate)

Even though the goal was offside it was the misstake of Portugal's #11 (Simao?) and they completely lost their system that time. Imo they were better before imo
Luck (and the referees) was on Spains side throughout the whole tourney, but that was pretty obvious, as they have Jesus in their team

that was a deserved victory imo.. Portugal played rather mediocre after that scored goal (offside though) and Spain totally controlled the game.. next game against Paraguay should be easy (if they play like they did vs Japan)

I predict that Spain, Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay will advance to the semi-finals, although I hope Ghana somehow manages to win ;c

First half was unbelievably boring after the first 10 minutes, with Spain having a lot of ball possession but Portugal walling off their 16 like a champ. But then Villa saved the day in the second half. I predicted 2-1, not having seen any other Portugal games this WC...

Yeah I think it was onside by a tiny amount.

Pleased Paraguay got through as I like them, however I feel a bit sorry for Japan as they are a good team as well.

Iker Casillas seemed a bit sloppy this game, but I still wear his shirt with pride when I play goalkeeper.

Germany vs Argentina - Germany please win

Man I can't wait for the quarter finals, all of the matches look to be pretty good. Go Germany!

Sad that Japan lost but hey, it was an even matchup so I am content. Raging that I didn't (couldn't) watch the Spain-Portugal match since, well, I was looking forward to it. :/
