Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

BTW, just wondering...
Can you use the Distortion World itself to advance frames?, since it says that loading the Distortion World map/scene will advance the frames by 11.

Like using the bag, even if it isn't the Jornal, and exiting the Bag again to advance frames...does it work like that, right?

You can change the date a bit so the journal comes up immediately and you can begin RNG'ing higher frames like that. Also try going to a different Pokemon Center. I am curious to how you even found a wondercard spread with a frame of 1 as it is the Method 1 Frame + 2.

Yeah, I've been using the journal pop-up trick. But I'm still getting frames 2 or 3 after closing the journal and picking up my Pokemon immediately. I'm also referring to the frames on the Wondercard IVs list from RNG Reporter.

My target frame isn't frame 1 or anything but I've been overshooting my target frame by 1 consistently so I decided to do some test runs w/o any journal flips. Trying to decide if I need to pick a totally different spread/seed or if I'm just too slow with my button presses.

I'm already using one of the Pokemon Centers with only 1 NPC (according to the RNG guide).

Even though there is only 1 NPC the movements of NPCs somewhere else can make a difference. Also what frame are you trying to hit?

Hi there. I'm currently in the process of trying to learn how to RNG in HGSS. I'm using Riski's guide. I just can't seem to hit my target time, and I can't get the right Elm responses. This is what I'm doing (Note: My target time is 7: 27: 13; My usual seconds are 13, and my delay range is 489-509):

I set my DS clock to 1 minute before the Target Time (7: 26) and I did the same on my external clock. Then, I turn on my DS and I press A on Soul Silver once I reach 7: 27, hoping to get in the game at 7: 26: 13 (I look at my external clock to see if I did). I usually think that I do get it, but when I call Elm, I don't get the right responses.

Any tips/ help?

Try using PikaTimer/Emloop and also you might just be hitting the wrong delay, but you are hitting the right second. You can check by capturing a pokemon and finding what seed you hit.

My delay has to be 497. Is there anyway to be sure of hitting the right delay, or do you just have to keep trying?

There is a way to be consistent without the use of external things. You know how Lugia is moving its head and wings right before the continue screen? Go through everything as fast as you can other than that and from when where the wings are, the screen flashes or anything similar to that you will be able to know what delay you hit. Just keep trying until you get it and just keep adjusting when you pass that screen until you hit your delay.

Also SR from Soul Silver, do not press A from the screen. SR is probably going to help you hit your second if you are missing that.

Yes. RNG abuse one, catch it. Then kill off the other 2. Defeat the E4 and you'll be able to talk to Oak again and he will re-release the ones you haven't caught.

@Dea: Is the starting frame of Mesprit 1 or something else? If you're constanly hitting the wrong frame (like exactly 4 up), then do that many less advances. I don't see what can be causing this besides starting frame.

what frame are the birds(this is in platinum), since they are runners, will they be 5? And which one will be shiny if you rng abuse, a random one, or the first one i meet?

Still trying to hit ED11028A Frame 19.

My starting frame is almost always 5, so I've been flipping Caught Pokemon journal pages seven times in order to hit 19 before closing to talk to the Daycare Man. I have now hit the same incorrect IV spread three times. The odd thing is that this spread has 17 frames and all my misses have 19 frames... Is it possible that I've hit 3 frames every time at the start?

Also... Mesprit is still frolicking around on my save. Could its presence be impeding me somehow?

Hey guys, nobody seemed to answer this the first time around, so I guess its worth another go. If anyone has any information on how Magnet Pull affects the rng, I would be happy to hear about it, thanks. :3

You use their ID/SID combo in the shiny egg finder, do everything else normally.

This is on DPPt by the way. Also, say I do the happiness taps and coin flips, it should hatch and the frame is 15. It would hatch with the nature and ability of my frame 15, but once I send it over to the other game, it'll hatch shiny and the right nature and ability, right?

on my mac after installing it when using the RNG reporter when i click time finder it automatically closes >.> is there a solution?

Guys, this is the very first time I'm abusing wondercard pokemon and I found myself wondering this: NPCs advence frames like "we" do in high grass/caves?
If an NPC turns and walks two steps, is it +3 frames or +1?

IS the silence because no one know or was this info. posted somewhere already and this is another stupid question of mine?

Can you RNG the fossil Pokemon you receive from the Pewter City museum? How?
They can be abused the same way you abuse the ones in DPPt as method 1 pokemon, as for their starting frame it should be 1 but you can always test that for yourself.
