Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

As far as I know the most flawless spread is 29/31/30/x/30/0 with a Brave Nature.
Far from the truth. There are better spreads, it's just that they're considerably harder to get and more prone to error. As I'm not well versed in PokeWalker abuse, I can't really offer further help.

All wondercard seeds are method 1 seeds. You calculate the seed as method 1 via the "capture" tab in "time finder" them put it on RNGreporter's main window and chose "wondercard IVs" in the methods drop down menu.

Brilliant! That's exactly what I needed to know. One of the things, anyway. So, there is no additional difficulty in RNG'ing for nature and spreads at the same time? It doesn't make sense to me that there would be, but, like I said, I don't know enough about Pokewalker methods. Thanks!

In RNG Reporter, what gender do the percentages represent: The chance of the pokemon being male or female?

Edit: Sorry, I think I should be more specific. If the top of the column shows 75%, is it a pokemon with 75% chance to be a male or 75% chance to be a female?

I believe it indicates which gender you'll get based on gender ratio for that species. For example, 50% F, 12.5% M, 25% M would mean you're getting a female if that pokemon is Yanma (50/50), male if it's a Togepi (7/1) and male if its an Elekid (3/1). Those columns refer to the female percentage for each species and the value in that column indicates which you'd get.

Female. you should probably get a newer RNG reporter.

My Question: I'm trying to RNG in Emerald and every time I find the frame I want, the game changes to the Alternate Breeding spreads. For example, I use the save states to get to frame 20750, which is my target and this is Emerald Breeding No Splits. I get there and put a save state. The save state is on Frame 20744, but when I check RNGReporter, my egg ends up being Emerald Alternate instead of No Splits. I say OK, I'll just go to the next one. 20949 is the Emerald Alternate spread I'm aiming for. I manage to get a save state on 20940, but when I check, it ends up being Emerald Breeding No Splits.

This has been going on for about 5 eggs. Is there something I'm missing or a way to make sure that the egg will be Emerald Breeding No Splits?

Oh ok. Thanks, both of you. And I think I already have the newest version of RNG Reporter... 8.30?

ya but i thought on 8.3 it says 75% Female 25% Male. Maybe I'm wrong.

EDIT: oh you're talking about the columns! i thought this was the shiny egg tab for a second.

EDIT2:

I'm not sure if this will work, but Emloop can be used instead of PikaTimer and you can try writing down the spreads you are going to use, I personally am not sure that Emloop will work on the Wii though so don't take my word for it.

That's ok. Turns out, Geek Squad couldn't do squat for me so whatever problems I had with my computer is going to get solved at my College.

Anyway, I wasn't sure, but does the biker on Route 206 affect your frame?

I'm guessign you mean the bikers on the cycling road, they do not advance frames since the cycling road is a seperate area even if it's on the same route.

Exactly. A quick catch in which I only have to fight the hiker seemed too good to be true.

This is in regards to the Pokewalker: What is the difference between Method 1 and Wondercard frames? I found a spread I like with RNGReporter -> Time Finder -> Method 1 and it gives me a frame of 35 (seed=1204000A). The main window of RNG reporter -> Wondercard IVs shows that seed will produce this particular spread at frame 37. I was told Method 1 would generate the spreads I'm looking for, but that Wondercard was the process the game uses. I'm also still unsure about how nature is determined in Wondercard situations. Is the random nature somehow related to the extra frame advancement?

This is on DPPt by the way. Also, say I do the happiness taps and coin flips, it should hatch and the frame is 15. It would hatch with the nature and ability of my frame 15, but once I send it over to the other game, it'll hatch shiny and the right nature and ability, right?

Okay, I want to do this to send a shiny egg to HGSS. Would I have to RNG for ID/SID? Or just by plugging the ID/SID of the "destination" game in RNG, then doing anything normal in the "origin" game, will guarantee that once the egg is hatched in the "destination" game, it hatches shiny?

Synchronize + sweet scent

I know that the obvious answer for what synchronize does is '50% of times, same nature as syncher.'
My issue is, I spent a long time hitting my seed, and I need to know the following to make sure I hit my frame:

Background info: Timid Syncher is lead, Sweet scent is second. When I just called for the response of frame 15, then sweet scented, I expected the stats and stuff of the poke on frame 18. However, I guess synch butt in and pushed the frame to the nearest timid, 19 (I checked, it is this one.)

My question is: If I use sweet scent on frame 303, and frame 306 is timid, is there any possibility that I don't run into a poke that has the characteristics of frame 306? Basically, what I'm asking is, if the frame you're supposed to land on normally (w/o synch) is timid, and the synch works (50%) will the frame advance to the next timid, or stay at that one?

Okay so I've read just about every guide I can get my hands on... but I'm having trouble getting started with anything RNG.

My issue is that I have no idea what a realistic goal is. What I'd ~like~ is a Naive Azelf with perfect IVs, shiny is unnecessary. But when I plug in my ID / SID, and select Naive and Method J, there only appear to be lackluster IV spreads.

Is this a result of my ID / SID combination? Do you need to abuse the RNG to obtain certain ID / SID combinations just to obtain certain IV spreads?

Ugh... I would love a little direction here.

If shiny is unnecessary, you shouldn't even be plugging your id/sid combo to the rng reporter

I'm not 100% on this, but I don't think you can get perfect IVs with a naive nature on a caught poke. When I used PokeRNG (Wichu's program, go find the link in the first few posts of this help thread--and this is the program you need to get your spread and seed for it), I didn't find any more than four perfect spreads for caught pokes. The natures were docile, timid, modest and calm.

I haven't told the RNG reporter to search only for flawless spreads. If I tell it to do 31 in all IVs, or even >= 28 in SpA and >=30 in Spe, probably the best spreads it returns still have 0s in some IVs.

I have a hard time believing that the 31/20/30/31/0/31 is the best Naive spread... but is it?

D3080FE8 Naive- 30/31/31/31/31/31 I think this is the best spread

So then my question is, is that IV spread obtainable with Method J and a trainer ID of 24966 and SID of 37251?
To my knowledge, ID and SID only matter for shininess. They are largely irrelevant for other purposes. Wondercards and Pokewalker use those numbers to enforce non-shininess, but that's it.
