So Irwin Advances by 1 or every call just like Elm? Or does he advance by some other number? Because I don't have Elm before I beat the game o_o

Calling Irwin has the same effect as calling Elm, it advances the frame by one. He can also be used to verify the seed if you know which reply is the equivalent of which Elm reply.

i just started RNGing my first pokemon egg for IVs, i have a question. at the final stage when you reset to hit your target time and delay, is it pretty much random what delay you hit? for example, i am trying to hit 607, and i have gotten 597 and 603. there is no way to actually control the delay right? so i just have to keep hoping to hit Continue at exactly 607?

I'm a little bit confused; I'm RNG'ing for Egg IV's; after calling Elm 10 times, it appeared I got the wrong results, so I entered them in the Search Elm feature of RNG Reporter and apparently, I had hit my seed and delay but with a different set of Elm Calls. Can someone tell me if I should ignore these results and keep on Soft Reseting (to hit my seed) or should I believe these results have hit my delay and seed and I should hatch my egg now and check it's IV's?

Sometimes the NPC moves right before you open the menu and select the pokegear. This usually mean the the first 2 call were skipped - bebause the NPC moved - but RNG reporter still matched the rest of the sequence. You should always pay attention to it - write down the call you got and match it with the sequence presented by RNG reporter to see if any calls were skipped that to the NPC.

Oh, okay. I see. So lets say the rest of the calls matched up; so would I still able to get the IV's I was RNG'ing for?

Just want to make sure before I start RNGing.

When RNGing for Wondercard IVs in HG/SS is it the same as DPPT?

Are all the frames the same?

As I explained this yesterday...

Lets say the first two call were skipped. This means that the first 2 frames were advanced too.
Lets say you were supposed to get: k e e p e k k e k
But you got: e p e k k e k k p
The first two calls didn't appear because the NPC advanced the frames they were on.
Now, the two calls that were skipped + the other 9 = 11 advanced frames.
If you wanted as egg on frame 10, you won't be able to get anymore. I suggest you always go for eggs on frames 13,14,15 cause this gives you ample margin to mess up opening the menu at the begining of the game.

OK I'm at the part where you confirm your Elm calls in the seed to times part. I just confirmed the calls and I hit a delay of 579, Is the delay supposed to be the one in the Time Finder?

If your delay was supposed to be 579, then good job, you're on the correct seed. Put your parents in the daycare and remember which one you put in first.
If you're going for a shiny (it sounds like you are), then just bike up and down near the daycare after you put your parents in. If your frame is 4, then reject the first three eggs he tries to give you; the fourth should be shiny. If your frame is 1, then the first egg he tries to give you will be shiny, etc.

Thanks, I did hit it and I got my shiny! On to the IV's

Good luck! Remember that frame advancement works differently for egg IVs. Each Elm call advances the frame by 1, so try to pick an egg between 11-15 frames.

Is it possible on RNGReporter to input Time, Date, and IVs of an egg, and for the Reporter to predict which second, delay, and frame I've hit?

@Mercury: I don't think there is, and even then it would have a huge list since only 1/2 the IVs are generated randomly with the other 3 as inherited so there is a higher chance that more spreads with those IVs are nearby.

Yeah, that's true :/

So, if I want to check my frame, etc, should I just catch a Poke and input the IVs into the seed finder?

Is there a guide on how to rng catch wild pokemon in HGSS and do you think it is easier to rng catch in Dppt or Hgss?

You don't need a guide as RNG catching in HG/SS is the same as DPPt.
Only you have to call Elm to verify your seed instead of flipping the coin.

Can you advance the frame with elm calls though and what method does sweet scented pokemon use? Also, what frame do they start on if you have all three roamers roaming

Every elm call advances the frame by 1. Sweet scented pokemon in HG/SS use method K. You'd better kill off the roamers because they might advance the frame by 1 or 2 (it's inconsistent).

With roamers killed:

Grass/cave starting frame: 2
Sea: 3
Fishing: 4

The roamers should be kept for as long as possible. They only advance the first few frames when you land on a delay and RNG reporter tells you what those frames are, so there's nothing unstable about it really. You already know about them when you start the frame advancements. They're accounted for already. The roamers are very useful to figure out where you are when you can't call Elm or use the Radio.

Edit: and it's easier to RNG on HGSS. You can advance frames much more easily on HGSS than on DPPt.

Question...when going for high frames in DPPt(captures)...for 2000+ frames...do you really just flip the journal 1000+times on the chance that you miss y our delay? Or do the majority just advance the frame by walking?

Well personally I think that high delays > High frames.
Why would you want to go for 2000+ frames :/ It will just mess up everything lol
