you can and its pretty much the same except you have to have the radio playing on the Sinnoh/Hoenn March channel when you sweet scent.

What do you need to download Pikatimer? I can't seem to download that but have no problems with rng reporter and others.
Pikatimer is a java package. It downloads the same as any other download, however it can only run if you have Java on your computer and if you have your Java program set to open java packages.
repost :can someone help i am using emerald and i got close to my shiny frame 2903 im at frame 2824 and i hit next frame but it goes to another frame thats like 23 frames ahead instead of one frame im using vba and im using the sweet scent method what is going on and i dont have my synchronizer in the first slot although i do have one in my team

RNGing starters is really really difficult, you need to rely on the movement of the NPCs in the lab to advance your frame. Just get it w/e, play to the daycare, and RNG the egg.

It's extremely difficult to do. You don't have the elm calls to verify your seed, you can check your seed with the Roamers. In fact, I don't think its even possible to advance the frame reliably. Unfortunately, you'll have to breed them.
@Shady: The closest thing possible that I've heard done on a cart was looking for a spread that's method 1 frame is 5. Since that's the starters starting frame (if I remeber correctly), then you'll just have to enter the game, pick it up as soon as you can, and verify if you hit your target or not.

does anyone know about vba emereld rng im having a ton of trouble and getting a bunch of results that dont make any sense like this i had no synchronizer in first slot. i sweet scent in my save state and check what frame i hit( frame 2802 ) then i pause restore my save state and advanse the frame by 1 and some how land on frame 3041 i try it over and get same rusult so then i move two frames ahead and land on frame 2937 wtf is going on btw im using method two to check what frame im on as the iv's and nature match up ( i use the uporg list to check around what frame i hit then refere back to rng reporter to check exactly where i hit) if anyone has any help i would appreciate it
Java. You need to associate .jar files with the JRE if it doesn't happen automatically. If you can't get it to happen, I wrote a batch file to do it a while back. I'll see if I can find it.
