I never said every Gamefreak design has been pure gold until now. Some have been even worse than the deer, the rockpile, and (IMO, but apparently not the popular vote) gothloli. I'm saying some of the stuff we've been seeing is real bottom-of-the-barrel work, even for GF's standards. Of course I'll buy the games. I'll even like a lot of the new Pokemon. But I hate the deer. I noticed on filb.com one of the new characters will be a football player. If the psychic that you would meet in diamond/pearl/platinum were to be in black/white/?, then that would imply that people can be a football player when on wireless connection. I don't care how bad the Pokemon look, how bad GameFreak has gone, or even how bad the characters look! It is still Pokemon regardless and I refuse to let it be considered trash otherwise! I will play it even if it is absolute trash in other people's opinions!

The thing is, there is enough types of Pokemon for everyone but everyone wants ONLY THEIR type to be in the game.

Game Freak is so out of ideas, they made Bambi into a Pokemon. Fucking Bambi.

IDK, Reshiram actually looks pretty cool. Zekrom looks cool also, although, he would look even cooler if he had a different design than he has now. He looks to much like a Black Palkia.
This debate over whether GameFreak's designs suck or not is just complete bullsh*t. What is Squirtle? He's a blue turtle. That's it. But everyone loves him; he's in everyone's childhood memories, and he even made it into Smash Bros.!
What is Bronzong? This wierd-ass stone with a face? It's design is more complex and arguably more creative than Squirtle's, but no one hates on it now, it being an OU staple (its still in OU, right?).
The point I'm trying to make is that GF can't please everyone. It's either "too simple" or "too complex". Just deal with it. If you don't like the pokemon, than don't put it on your team. >.>
I personally think GF is trying to go back to the days of RBY and make simpler pokemon that resemble animals more than anything else. Heck, they even went back to colors (BW instead of Ebony/Ivory) and restart at Route 1. I personally like that design decision.

Personally, I think Galactic Boss Cyrus is trolling because I haven't been reading every page but I find him saying the same thing on every page I've landed on.

I'm gonna have to agree with you. I'm pretty sure I've said this in the other thread: our opinions don't really matter because in the end those pokemon are official pokemon and we can't do anything about them.
And yeah I kinda like that GF is going back to the basics. New pokemon with a somewhat R/B/Y feel to it.
I must say I like the new pokemon, yeah, especially the meerkat evo. It's the way I expected it. They look like guardians while the basic form looks like a scout. I wonder if it has a third evolution and how that'll look. (According to Wikipedia, Meerkats have some kind of "Alpha pair")

well i realized its happening again, when a new generation comes many people dislike some of the new pokemon and categories them as "bada*s", etc. but with time people will get use to the new ones and even like them, surely, there's gonna be people that when the game is out and we see the stats and moves ugly new pokemons may become great competitive pokemon (look at mamoswine).
I think GF tries to bring back the 1st generation style (most based on animals) but we also have the machine-like pokemons (5th:Gear - 1st:Magnemite). I agree with RoxburyGuy58, GF can't please everyone. I personally like Chiramii, is a simple pokemon, based on an animal, brings me back memories to the first 2 generations.

The only thing to make it feel more RBY-ish is to purposely leave some cool (yet not too broken) glitches in the games. One of the best memories I have as a kid where all the map glitches and rare candy/cloning glitches. It made the game more interesting and there where actually mysteries of the pokemon world worth finding out. Now that GF has refined how they program things, there are less glitches, which ever so slightly takes away from the classic feeling, even in HGSS.
Also, 48 BP for a Rare Candy? Wth, why do they care how we level up our pokemon? :/

RSE had the Regis with the Braille messages afair. Also, Feebas. DPPt at least had stuff like Spiritomb. There needs to be more of that stuff.

I think there SHOULD add a dark gym, not because of the name "Pokemon Black", because it's the only type that hasn't get a gym until now, and it may give new evolutions tu dark types such as sharpedo or absol (pre).
And i had being thinking on, whats with the female Mr. Mime and Machamp, or the male Lopunny, they should do the same thing with Gallade and Froslass, new evolutions to the pokemon that look to masculin or femenin.

There are people who seriously still don't know Mr. Mime, initially, had no gender distinction in the Japanese games? Its name is "Barrierd" there...
Mr. Mime is only MISTER Mime in the states, so that's not really a problem. But I guess a more feminine split evo to Mime Jr. wouldn't be too bad...
Female Machamps just need a slightly smaller build as a gender difference.
Male Roserade just don't look right.
