Whoa, that looks badass. This a dumb question, but is that art fan-made? It looks really good. Anyway, while it's possible, I don't think Kibago will evolve into Ononokusu

It's fan-made by Xous! :D

@ Unknown Tsutarja: My bad! Although I think the evolution possibility stands -- a lot of Pokemon look almost nothing like their final evos. The mouth-blades are the clincher for me.

I think it actually strikes quite a resemblance... I mean, Trapinch hardly looks anything like Flygon, another Dragon-type, so I don't think they have to look awfully similar.

I just notice how its 'tusks' (look more like axes to me) seem to be growing out of the side of its mouth, just like Kibago. It also looks to be standing in a similar position, as if it's quadrupedal but it stands on two legs instead.

Who's to say that a pure dragon type won't evolve into a dragon/bug? There are type changes in evolutions all the time. Pupitar goes from Rock/Ground to Rock/Dark when it evolves, and Dragonair goes from a pure Dragon to Dragon/Flying.

into what bug/dragon are they suggesting it will evolve? :S

Into THIS:

again, we have no info at ALL about that pokemon besides its name, who the heck said it is a bug/dragon? XD considering palkia is a water/dragon and jirachi is steel/psychic, who knows what the heck anything's type is anymore? you can't tell by looking. we have to wait!

Or maybe, ya know, it wont be Dragon type... At all. How bout them apples eh? lol. If Tyranitar isn't Dragon-type, I don't see why this thing has to be Dragon-type. I guess it looks more reptilian than TTar though...

Is anyone else dissapointed in the lack of new mechanics? Obviously there are going to be new moves, abilities and pokemon, and that'll shake up the metagame a ton I'm sure but... every other generational shift has brought some fairly big change. But there's been like nothing new in this generation, and it's making me sad in the pants. And season changing doesn't count, that's kinda cool, but it'll barely affect the game probably.

Triple battles? More fluid battles (Moving camera and constantly moving sprites)?

I think he means in terms of, say, Gen 3 adding Natures & Abilities, Gen 4 adding the Physical/Special split

Heck, most little kiddies couldn't give a crap about Natures anyway, and abilities aren't important for Pokemon (to little kids) except Wonder Guard being "Super Amazing"...

Most kids can't grasp the idea of certain moves being special or physical, or type coverage either, which explains why so many Empoleons have all water type moves. :P

One of the first rumours, about each trainer being able to use a certain field effect, got me excited. Personally I think it would've been awesome. But as for another level of customisation to a pokemon... I'm not sure.

Edit: Maybe something like move customisation? Like, adding a tiny amount of give and take to PP, Accuracy, Power, Secondary effect... I dunno, could help a poke specialize

Now that you mention it, stats in accuracy and evasion and such sounds pretty interesting. I'm not sure how competitive battling would work around it with accuracy/evasion clause and all, but it would be a pretty creative thing to add. Though at times would be extremely annoying...

Sadly (well, arguably) I don't think there will be anything added to the battle system this generation. We only have a month of information left, and big battle changes are always shown off at least a couple months before.

I hope they never give accuracy & evasion legitimate stat slots. Not because of the competitive scene

But because of the in game scene D:

What is it with you people insulting it, he just asked a little question and that's it. @ R_N- Sorry, just thought it was kinda mean..
Anyways, Dark/Steel would be awesome, I just don't like all the weakness, common weaknesses

Exactly Unknown Tsutaja.

Dark/Steel may be awesome, but it still has some major weaknesses, so maybe we can make it Steel/Electric instead, that way it can have many resistances and immunities, despite the typing being bestowed to the Magnemite family.
