Why would you ever want to use neutral natures? They don't boost anything, and whatever is lowered by the nature you choose, either doesn't really matter to that pokemon, or you'd switch. There's very little reason to use a neutral nature.
Lax and Gentle: +Defense natures are generally used on tanks, thus it would be moronic to heighten one defense and lower the other. Most tanks run Relaxed or Sassy, because they are usually slow in the first place.I noticed that Smogon doesn't recommend 7 Natures EVER, those being Lax, Gentle and the 5 Neutral Natures. Is there any instance when they'd be acceptable?
You could try 31 for HP, Def and SpD, 30 for Spe and SpA and 23 for Att, becuse I assume you wont use your attack stat.
If you're using a Scarf set on Latias, you're best off using a Trick lead (you'll just be switching her out all the time if you try to get KOs with her, plus Specs Latios is much better for sweeping than Scarf Latias). For a Trick lead, you'll probably want max speed or close to it (to outspeed slower Pokemon after the Trick) with a Timid nature, but on top of that, you're best off using Charm (to ease switching in for whatever the next Pokemon you bring in is) and Thunder Wave (to make sure your switch-in is faster, and potential buy you free turns to set up). Your last move is your own choice (Flash is common), but the remainder of the EVs should go towards increasing her bulk; Trick leads generally don't attack, as it takes away from their purpose of giving you a weak Pokemon with a predictable attack to set up on. Obviously, if you're using a Trick lead Latias, there's no reason for you to be carrying HP Fire, either. Really, any Battle Frontier Lati@s has pretty much no use for HP Fire; they only carry it in Ubers to KO Scizor (and Forretress), who aren't that threatening in the Frontier. If you want to try sweeping with Lati@s, stick to moves with better base power/coverage: Draco Meteor, Dragon Pulse, Surf, Thunderbolt, Energy Ball, Grass Knot (really, I'd stick with Energy Ball), and Shadow Ball.Ok thanks. And if I'm using a scarf set for that latias what Evs and moves should it have? (Its for the wifi battle tower)
if both players elect to switch out their pokemon, but one of them sends out a pokemon with a trapping ability, what happens?
Is Gyrados a better choice for a water type then Lapras?
so on wifi, i would see that i sent out a wobbuffet but the opponent's pokemon still switches out. is that right?
How do I OHKO that evil Vaporeon aside from going all jihad on it? This thing nearly makes me lose my matches.

I am looking to create a new Dunsparce (I am calling him Run Out Dunsparce).
Ev's:252 Hp / 126 Def / 132 SpD
Moveset:Yawn
Spite
Substitute
Roost
Is it worth my while to move forward with this guy on the theory that move one is Substitute, move two is yawn(assumption that next opponent move will be an attack), move three through wake up will be spite. My goal is to run an opponent out of PP.
There are definite flaws but tell me what you think.
