Unlimited tms YAY YAY YAY If you need to speed run through this game It will be so easy. Just get the starter with the biggest movepool and abuse it to the max.

This is true, but it's been that way since gen 1. Maybe they just don't want little kids to freak out and forget that they still have the HM.
The only way I could see with them being eraseable is if someone uses a Smeargle for all the HMs (and even then, their team must suck if only Smeargle can learn the neccesary HMs to continue/go back).

Aggron as an antilead man. Kills everything he sees.

Well he said as it is now, which only prevents actual OHKO moves. It's completely useless competitively because of the OHKO clause.

Anyways, I think Leafeon could get Natural Cure. Glaceon should get Snow Warning. Jolteon could get Rough Skin, Flareon Encourage, Espeon Trace, and Umbreon could get Illuminate (which would hopefully lower the opponent's Special Attack like Intimidate). They may not be the most obvious choices, but I think they make sense within the context of the Pokemon's flavor.

Someone has probably already mentioned this, but way to troll us with a Hydration Vaporeon that doesn't know wish >_<

Also, maybe since they are giving sturdy this upgrade other abilities will get similar boosts?

EDIT:

The ability Sturdy now prevents any form of one hit knock out from maximum Hit Points, leaving just 1 Hit Point

Sturdy will act like an auto focus sash, it doesn't just stop things like Fissure. Any hit that would kill from full HP will leave them at 1 HP.

GAME FREAK, I LOVE YOU.

You won't believe the countless hours I've spent playing Voltorb Flip in HG just to get one damn TM. Man, this will make constructing a competitive team in-game so much easier.

lol couldn't agree more (unless i just transfered it from my pearl game). I like the new tm system. I say if you don't want to make the game too easy then just don't re teach them to your pokemon. you don't know how many hours this saves

Inner focus: prevents flinch from focus punch ftw!

I don't really see a problem here. You can still do instant rest recovery in rain which is still insainly powerful. I won't complain >.>

Huh? Man the best thing about hydration is the fact that Vaporeon can just rest up. Instead of wish/protect/repeat

Lucky that there's no Geodude in Isshu; we would be hitting it twice to get rid of it every time we saw it. >_<

I don't know many people that actually fight wild Pokemon, I always run from them unless it's something I want to catch (in which case Sturdy will be really useful for bringing them down to 1 HP).

I'm really loving the Swan's sprite, and Vaporeon's new sprite.

EDIT: I think the best combination is Lum Berry + Sturdy lead. Pretty much any Sleep leads can fuck off, cause they can't OHKO it or put it to sleep the first turn.

That's the point, you can just rest and you're healed?
I wish other abilities, i.e Illuminate would get a boost..
I'm really wanting to get this game in Japanese...

Repel ftw. But yeah, hopefully most of the new pokemon that get sturdy will have a second ability (or maybe alot of hail/sandstorm routes).

Oh, I didn't even think of that. I was just about to say "you can rest up with anything, whats the big deal" lol. Wow, hydration vaporeon is gonna be sick. For those who may be confused like me, hydration would heal the sleep status at the end of the turn, thus granting you a free boost back to 100% HP.

I was like: Um, that's the point of hydration? xD Plus, it's also useful for some possible sweeping, because you can't get poisoned now!

this. i only fight woild pokemon before the first gym, which is why my highest poke in my first diamond run was lvl 49 (or 52, it´s been a while since then). it took many tries.

Wait, so is Sturdy for any move, or only for OHKO moves, because I remember it saying OHKO moves, and I don't get people saying it will take two hits to kill them

I hope the routes are more like they were in Sinnoh, long and actually challenging, rather than the routes in Kanto which are literally a walk in the park. Getting the Snowpoint City felt like such a huge achievement after that huge hail route. :P

I'm worried this may mean TMs cannot be transferred over from 4th Gen. games, and that they will therefore reset the TM list. If TMs can be used multiple times, it stands to reason they won't have an x01 next to the TM name in the Bag, similar to how HMs and Key Items currently work. And as Pokemon can't hold HMs, could the same hold true for the new TMs? Which would imply you can't trade TMs over from old games.

I don't know from a programming point of view whether they could make it possible for Pokemon to hold Key Items / HMs / New TMs, in which case when you transfer a TM from a 4th Gen. game to B&W it would go from x01 to having no number next to it. I hope this is what happens, otherwise there are going to be tons of illegal move combinations to keep track of.

EDIT: Now that I think about it some more I don't see the second alternative happening. Imagine the scenario where you transfer over two Pokemon holding Focus Punch. Now you have two TM01's in B&W, but they don't have an x01 next to them... this is really messy. So I'm like 90% sure they will reset the TM list. I suppose they could also not let you transfer TMs, but make all the old TMs available in B&W.

I don't think there's anything to worry about, there's always been items that you can get more than one of that don't disappear after use. I don't think the prgoramming part is an issue either, there were plenty of these kinds of mechanical changes when trading from RBY > GSC.

@ Hydration Vaporeon, I'm not getting the hype, Wish + Protect is much more reliable than Rain Dance + Rest.

For TMs they could just double or triple the price. Gamefreak could also follow the mystery dungeon spin offs so that when you use a TM it would become a "used TM" so it's possible to have multiples of the same TM. So now you have two choices, use another stock of that TM or use the move Recycle on the used TM. It would look like this:

No.01 Focus Punch______x 2
Used TM (No.01)________x 1
No.02 Dragon Claw_______x 1
Used TM (No.02)_________x 2
...

so the TM's technically don't disappear but just rendered useless unless you use the move Recycle, or Black/White has an area where you could restore TMs for a price.
That's just my theory of course.

In the rotation battles next to miju something is holding a bomerang it has a similar colour scheme to miju, but bigger possible leaked Evo?

Not really, Wish doesn't cure status, only heals 50%, and Protect can lead to a free turn for your opponent. Of course, it would suck if your opponent switched in a Sandstream/Snow Warning Pokemon when your Vaporeon uses Rest.

They both have their pros and cons.
