Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I am sure the RNG hates me...

I was being pretty consistent with my delay, so I thought "RIGHT! I got this!" but after getting a date and all that for the spread I want... nothing. Is that normal?

You will have to try different dates until you get it. Then copy the seed and go to the seed to time feature and choose a date and time on which that seed occurs that you like.

So if I have a Synch Pokemon in my first slot and then switch out in battle, will the wild Pokemon still be the nature of the first slot Pokemon?

There's no guarantee - synchronizers just increase your chances of getting a wild pokemon with the same nature as your synchronizer, it's not 100% though.

With RNG, you advance the frames to make sure that you get your desired nature. While this is true for using synch or no synch, using a synch increases your chances and thus will appear on more frames.

Lol. I know it isn't guarantee, I thought you meant it wouldn't work if I wasn't RNGing. Meaning, it would work if I had a lead Synch and then switched out, while RNGing vs if I had a lead synch and switched out, while not RNGing.

Are Sweet-Scented pokés always method 1 + 6 frames as opposed to method J/K?

I tried JavaRNG right now, and when it was done it said there would be a file somewhere in the same folder as JavaRNG, but it wasn't there, what type of document gets saved, how can I search for it?

I can't remember what it means exactly, but basically it just determines whether or not a pokemon will be shiny, based on your game's ID/SID.
Edit: I'm pretty sure, at least. I'm sure someone else has a better definition.

It's a Windows Excel file and it should say "Spreads*" *=method you're using, such as K, J, etc.

if there is nothing on the "spreads" file after JavaRNG has run, does this mean it could not find anything? (looking for a shiny timid seed with good IVs)

Did you stop the search early? As in, stop it before it notified you that it finished?

Yes that would mean that there is no seed in your game for it, try not making it shiny or lowering the IV's

Attempted to RNG Suicune. My frame was 501. Hit 503 a few times and 493 pretty often. Eventually got it after around 50 mins. I screwed up advancing the frame though. :( And the frame was 495... took me over an hour and a half.

I think the problem might be somewhere else though... I was using Method J... should it be K? And can Synchronizers be KOed as long as they're in the first slot?

You are slightly off friend. If you use a synchronizing Pokemon it either will or won't guarantee your nature. But it won't change. So, whether your RNGing or not, if you send out a Synchronizer and then switch it out (or it gets knocked out) the Pokemon will still keep the nature. Basically, the nature is set when the battle starts and the Synchronizer gives you a 50% chance of that nature occurring.

I'm still having trouble getting the RNG Reporter to work on my computer. I'm using a mac, and I downloaded mono to run the Reporter. Right now I'm just trying to hatch a shiny egg. It will let me enter the nesessary information and gives me an initial seed, but once I click "ok", it seems to forget the information that I entered and won't generate new spreads. It give me the same ones every time (the ones it gave me the first time I ever entered information), and when I check it in the finder, it says that the RNG Reporter program isn't responding. ...Which is kind of weird, because usually when a program isn't responding, it doesn't respond at all, but.. Um.. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm not as computer-savvy as most of the people here...

I think its method K.
