Ask a simple question, get a simple answer - mark 24 (READ THE OP)

In the midst of making my OU team ive been getting wish onto my umbreon via breeding (im on diamond) and then had to find a female eevee with the nature i want (i narrowed down to Two natures) which ment the encounter rate for my mother eevee was like 0.4% and now after like ALL DAY i have 3 eevees lvl 10 each of which share a different weekness in IV's and im wondering what set to go with. (im running dark pulse not payback so spA is more important than Atk)

1. eevee 28hp 28speed 28spa 28speDef Calm 5 DEF?!
2. eevee 28hp 28speed 28spa 28def BOLD 15 SpcDef
3. eevee 28speed 28spa 28specdef 31def 15 hp

which IV set is best for wish surport umbreon.... i really Cant be asked to bread anymore.

What's the nature of the last one? Because you somehow got one Eevee with low Defense and one Eevee with low Special Defense, the last one is the most balanced and overall bulky, but you didn't specify the nature

BTW these word parent bread. I didnt even note there IV's i just made a load of eggs and these were the best of about 30 hatched and seen as it takes around 64 trys with both perfect parents these werent bad results this is just a temporary, I dont play OU and this is just to scout its general affectiveness.
 
All right, here's my quick question:


Do roaming legendaries have different stats (IV's, Nature, etc.) per encounter until you catch them, based on their first encounter, or based on when they're first revealed in the wild ("Roaming Pokemon have been spotted")?

As in, "when would I need to soft reset my game in order to get a desired roamer"?


If that's not clear enough I'll try to re-word it >_>
 
Roamers get iv spreads and natures once u release them. They won't change even at the 3rd encounter. If you want a different spread, then kill said roamer and release it again ^^
 
I'm trying to build a doubles team around Cherrim, but how much of that should overlap with a regular Sunny Day team?
Right now I've got Leafeon, Tangrowth and Aggron on the physical side, for their abilities and Rock-type support, and Cherrim, Roserade and Arcanine on the special side for SolarBeam, Weather Ball and Arcanine's Heatwave and Morning Sun.

Cherrim isn't really that good, but with Flower Gift activated, it achieves 360 maximum Attack, over 300 maximum Special Attack, just for the record. The only good offensive moves it has in the sun are Seed Bomb and Solarbeam, but it's always useful to have one or more phsyical attackers on a Sunny Day team. Oh and one more thing, USE EXEGGUTOR. Do it

Noob question, but what exactly do you mean by killing it and then releasing it? ._.

Physical would just leave me Seed Bomb, Return, Sunny Day and Protect, though.

If I used an Exeggutor, could I Skill Swap the Flower Gift so I can keep it active on a bulkier Pokemon?

Almost the entire point of Sunny Day is Chlorophyll, and I get that you want to use Cherrim, but that doesn't mean you have to base the entire team around Flower Gift. Skill Swap is practically never used, but you could always experiment with it
 
After hearing repeatedly that the Rotom-formes would fix every hole in every one of my teams and bring my childhood dog back to life, I finally caved in and decided to edit my outdated platinum game with Pokesav. I gave myself a Secret Key, but I still can't open the hidden door in the Eterna City Galactic building.

What did I do wrong? Do I have to give myself the event instead of the key itself? And how would I go about doing that? I've searched everywhere for the answer and can't seem to find it.

I think if you give yourself the event it would work. Not sure though...

I use Pokésav and it's really easy to just create a Rotom forme, and it stays as a Rotom forme unless you trade it, then it reverts to Rotom and loses any forme specific moves. So why don't you just Pokésav the Rotom forme instead of the ability to acquire a Rotom forme?

In order to use the Secret Key, the player must have received the Wonder Card for the Secret Key and received the key from the Poké Mart, setting a flag in the game. Just having the Secret Key in the bag is not enough.
 
Reposting from the thread earlier since the original Heavy Offense thread is locked:

1) When the game starts and I'm faced against an anti-lead (Lucario, Machamp, Gallade, Weavile, etc.) what order should I be setting up Reflect/Light Screen/SR? It seems the obvious route is Reflect -> Stealth rock -> Light screen and then switching to the appropriate counter, but I just want to make sure. This also leads me to question 2.

2) What am I supposed to do as far as focus sash leads? Should I just send out a priority user and go for the STAB damage and finish off with priority?

3) Heavy Offense seems quite weak to Trick Room teams. All their wall has to do is survive a single hit to get off the twisted dimensions and then I have to endure 4 turns of hell. Any solutions to this rather obscure problem?

Ho-Oh and Lugia aren't roaming legendaries. I meant like Raikou/Entei etc. What about them? I don't necessarily want to faint a Lati@s, because I'm fairly sure they don't come back o_o
 
@SalTheThief; Why not carry a Curse Tar on your team? Functions great under Trick Room conditions (for obvious reasons), and on its own is one fearsome tank. Make sure to get some good team mates for it like Gliscor, which could pass it some SD's/ Agilities (if not using Curse variant), or Magnezone to trap and kill Scizors/ Skarmorys/ Forretresses; all of which cause TTar problems.

This is just what I can tell you off the top of my head.
 
Cursetar seems too slow paced and stallish for a heavy offense team. It also seems the only reason to carry it would be for Trick Room, which isn't popular enough to warrant its use. Cursetar only gets one attacking move as well, which would force me to switch around if, say, a Lucario came in.

1) Use reflect first then sr, unless it is a lead that will kill you with a priority move on the second turn, in which case you use sr and die and be satisfied with it.

2) It depends on the lead, hopefully it will be taunted in which case you will be fine to set up a bulkier pokemon such as gyarados. If you have screens up then kingdra with lum berry can set up on all most anything.

3. Heavy offense is weak to all types of shit. Generally against trick room the idea is to take advantage of the lack of coverage such teams have. A pokemon such as sd scizor probably cannot be killed in one hit by common trick room pokemon. Use the free turn you get from them setting up trick room to set it up. Any pokemon with substitute can just sub until the trick room goes away, once again kingdra is the ideal choice.
