Yeah I know its preseason and it's a little early to say I told ya so but....

Favre threw for 187 yards and two interceptions, one that (rookie Earl) Thomas returned 86 yards for a touchdown in Minnesota’s 24-13 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday night.

Favre probably a bit rusty after not playing at all from the end of the NFC championship game till his 1 series last week?

That or it could be a harbinger of things to come, which would be funny. There's a reason he holds the infamous record of most interceptions as well...

I dont think anyone realizes Cambell still threw 20 TD's, 15 INT's which is bad but still better than some QB's in the league, while playing in a lol worthy offfense. Granted the Raiders arent much better, but Heyward Bey has been improving and I expect a breakout year from Mcfadden

Okay.

Let me make this absolutely clear as someone who has watched Jason Campbell for 4 seasons.

He is an absolute mediocrity of a quarterback.

His stats look decent, not amazing, but decent. And he gets sacked a lot, leading people to believe that he's just on bad teams with bad offensive lines. But the fact is, the same line that Campbell was supposedly getting killed by suddenly became beastly at the end of the 2007 season. Wonder why? Because Campbell is slow reading defenses, his release is slow, and he has absolutely no deep ball (he has good arm strength but he's woefully inaccurate). He also has absolutely no pocket presence, thus, he takes sacks.

And while he's hard-working, he's also the very opposite of a leader, and takes a while to grasp the playbook - the systems excuse is ridiculous, as Auburn had pretty much the same system until his senior year; Campbell spent 1 year under the Gibbs system, and 2 years under the Al Saunders system, and 2 years under the Jim Zorn system. That's not the picture the media likes to paint, but it's true.

He's modestly accurate in short/intermediate routes, and he has good size for the position but that's it. Other than that, he has no real strengths.

But wait, why does he have such good stats? Well, our skill guys are actually pretty good. Moss is a top 15ish WR still, Cooley is a top 5ish TE, Davis is really good too. If you watch the games, you will realize that the BULK of his passing yards came AFTER THE CATCH - he was more effective dumping it to Moss, Cooley or Davis and having them try to make a play, then actually trying to put the ball in a given area.

I predict McNabb will make all these guys look amazing - I'll take Moss/Davis/Cooley/Thomas as a group over Jackson/Celek/Maclin.

Campbell is a notch above Russell, but ONLY a notch. I'd bench him for Gradowski right now; he is strictly a backup QB in the NFL.

Give Campbell a bit more credit than that, I mean the dude's played under how many different offensive coordinators just about every year, there's only so much he can do given that. He's easily several dozen notches above Russell, I'd say at least Orton good. Sure he'll never be a Manning or Brady, but he's more than good enough to get the job done with a good supporting team imo, and certainly heads above quite a few other QBs starting currently

Though I would also say start Gradowski if they hadn't got Campbell, he was the one who rallied the Raiders to at least some wins last year. He deserved a chance to start out the season, least till he probably would get injured.

Either you're sarcastic, incredibly inept at judging talent or just plain retarded.

May I remind you Campbell hasn't played with any talent on offense his entire career outside of Chris Cooley and MARGINALLY Santana Moss. May I remind you that he has had a different offensive coordinator each and every single year of his career. May I remind you that he has played behind one of the worst offensive lines EVER FIELDED. May I remind you that despite constant criticism, constant pressure and a lack of supporting cast, Campbell as took it stride, remained professional AND Improved EVERY year AS the team around him became progressively WORSE.

May I remind you that JaMarcus Russell is considered the worst draft bust of all time. May I remind you he was the worst QB to start last season. May I remind you he came to camp one season weighing more than his offensive lineman. May I remind you he spends his time on the sidelines eating skittles. May I remind you that he completed half his passes which was worse that his ROOKIE SEASON where he held out half the year. May I remind you he's out of the league after 3 seasons. May I remind you Campbell threw more TDs last year than Russell has thrown HIS ENTIRE CAREER.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I'm just reminding you that yours is retarded and has NO FACTUAL BASIS whatsoever.

Lame-art getting the boot in favor of Anderson is pure lol worthy...I mean seriously, 2 bad QBs going at it to see who will be the scapegoat for the season is pretty funny. Neither of them can lead teams, and both very likely are going to doom the Cardinals no matter which emerges. Anderson is not the second coming of Warner, and Lame-art was never a true legit successor. I mean, people bash the Broncos for taking Tebow to build him up into their eventual starting QB, look at Lame-art; he was drafted higher and paid more just to sit on the bench for the better part of the last how many years, and he never developed.

I think Anderson can lead a team. His critical flaw is his at times horrendous accuracy. But if you've watched the Cards this preseason, you'd notice that the offense has life when he's in the huddle. When Leinart is in the huddle, the offense is dead.

Leinart was just a bust. They'd be wise if they could trade him, but I don't know why anyone would want him. But, you never know any more. Stranger things have happened.

Yeah...he's not even that good of a backup. Can't fathom why the Raiders would want him at all with Campbell and Gradowski, or Giants with Manning. Bills, maybe...Trent Edwards is always getting continually injured, and Fitzpatrick is ok but nothing special, and Chan Gailey is supposed to be some sort of QB guru right?

also a key note about Anderson vs Leinart, is that Anderson actually had some success in the past with the browns. I think it only lasted a year and a half, but Leinart has always struggled. Anderson has (arguably) better weapons now (Braylon v Fitz + the rest, cards probably win, note that this is prime braylon of course) and a better defense as well. He gets his shit together, there's gonna be a lot of happy larry fitzgerald fantasy owners who swiped up in low2s high 3s.

Yeah Fitz will do better with Anderson but Anderson is still a mediocre QB. I wouldn't expect Fitz to put up the same numbers when Kurt was under center.

On the other hand, at least Fitz doesn't worry about his QB trying to get him killed. Seriously Leinart must harbor some hatred against him or something because he just leaves the ball up for the Defenders to key off on Fitz.

No fucking way. Keep that shit out of my town, we're screwed up enough already (and Trent is actually showing some huge improvements right now).

^ lol. Ok, let's stick him with the...uh...Rams?

Also, Anderson had like 1 good season with the Browns...rest of the time, he's been bad to mediocre. There's a point that the Browns didn't exactly offer much in weapons, but still, doesn't stop him from being overall mediocre...

Eh why am I commenting on the Cards anyways, Niners are all but guaranteed to take the division :D

It's official: Troy Smith was cut from the Ravens. :(

I mean, Leinart was cut from that other birds team looooooooooool... but the above is true too. :( !!

Leinart being cut is lol, but you have to admit he made some pretty damn easy money sitting largely on the bench for 4 years.

We got Housh :).

Also Revis is great but this new Ravens offense has waaay too many options for one player to stifle (and when in doubt, screen pass to Rice ^_^).

Coupled with the fact that no team is going to be able to run on a fully healthy Ravens (so hurry your ass up Cody), that'll force Sanchez to *gasp* actually make plays through the air.
