They really fucked up Tsutaja... He was one the most badass starter, and now look at him.
He looks like a retard in a green snuggie. Two weeks ago, if you had asked me which starter I would've chosen, I would've said "Tsutaja, all the way!" Now... It's just plain no.

Pokabu was originally pretty cute, but he just lost that. His final evolution could be Fire/dark/ground/rock/fighting. I doubt GF would go for another fire/fighting, although it still could be. He could be like an inverse infernape, with more bulk, less speed, and nice attacking prowess.

Mijumaru was amazingly cute, and his second evo looked totally badass, but now... GF has morphed it into a seahorse-unicorn hybrid. It just looks... blech. But, overall, he looks the best out of all the starter's final evos, at least in my opinion.
 
I dot get why everybody is hating on these starters(except Pokabu final evo i hate that too) anyways here is what i think there typings, best moves and stats will be like



Smuglord:Grass Dragon
80/70/60/125/85/115
Best moves: Draco Meteor,Leaf Storm


Pokabu Final evo: Fire Fighting
105/125/90/80/90/60
Best Moves: Flare Blitz,Bulk Up,Superpower


Water Final evo: Water Ice
100/110/95/100/87/90
Best Moves: Water Fall,Megahorn,Ice Shard,Curse,Ice Beam

The big horn on Water final evo just gets me thinkng it will have a good atk stat.
 
I have to say I'm liking the direction of the Pokemon designs a lot more than I initially did Gen 4. Including these alleged starter evos.

As far as Wotter's 3rd stage being very different from its second stage, the same could very much be said for Wartortle > Blastoise and Combusken > Blaziken. It's hardly a straightforward otter anyway, with the beaver tail, you could just say it resembles some generic water mammal so it evolving into another form of water mammal is reasonable.

Pokabu's middle evolution is also great as far second stages go. They're usually quite forgettable, but this one is full of personality and fun. Third stage looks a little garbled, but I'll wait for a clearer image before passing judgment. Also kind of hoping it isn't part Fighting, though if the Grass snake is truly part Psychic, that may be the case.
 
I think what really makes them fake is how they are losing limbs and losing their ability to stand up.

I mean, let's say you teach Mijumaru or Mijumaru2 Focus Punch or something. How will the third form use those attacks? The same goes for Tsutaja and Tsutaja2.

Pokemon aren't supposed to be able to lose the ability to use its preevo's moves.
 
I had hopes for pokabu, honestly.

Though I now think his second evolution looks a whole lot like a digimon or something.
However, I really like Tsutaja's and Mijumaru's. Win!

pokabu had promise... then they showed his next evo that looks like a sumo wrestler.

I'd say the same way Togekiss uses Focus Punch.

Besides, who says Miju3 isn't like Swampert or Typhlosion where it can either stand on two or four feet?

And what moves do you think Smugleaf is gonna get that Smuglord can't use? It's not like he's gonna be learning Leaf Blade or any kind of punching/kicking attacks with those little limbs.

I actually always hated Pokabu from the beginning,i mean it is a damn Pig for godsake! even tho i love animals i hate Pigs! so Pokabu was automatically a piece of junk when i first saw it.
 
I'm happy. I think the pig's awesome, so he'll be the first fire type I actually like. You know, that doesn't suck. Plus everyone else hates him! So yaaay!
 
I hate pigs usually. Ganon, the pigs from Tomba, and my cousins awful pet pig. But Pokabu just looks jolly and full of the spunky spunk that a starter should have.

His evo's are ugly :C
 
Of the first stage starters, the only one I liked was Pokabu. I was expecting that finally I would pick the fire starter. If these evos are real, Pokabu's one will be the only one I don't like, actually I HATE it. Tsutaja's final evo is very weird, its expression... it looks too distant, almost artifical, generally starters have more "real" expressions, but I like it. The water Dialga looks amazing, but very different from the first stages.

If the fire hedious thing will be fire/fighting it will top Blaziken and Infernape as my hate starter by FAR.

About the "typing we all were hoping about": the amazing STABs of a Poison/Steel :naughty:?
 
the thing about pokabu is that it's final evo looks like another fire/fighting. And to be perfectly honest, i'm sick of fire/fighting types.

Of topic, does someone remember Dento's gym? There were three tiles, each one that has the symbol of a type (Grass, Fire and Water). Well, since Dento has Yanappu in the anime (High chance of having one in the games), there are two other people alongside Dento and had been reveale that Yanappu has a Fire and a Water counterparts, it make me think that the first gym isn't actually a typr gym, but a Appu's gym.

Yeah, I know it's not gonna be in the new game. I just want you to admit that it looks better the mijamaru's final evolution (whatever it's called). The artwork is amazing on these things!! There are some seriously talented artists out there that Gamefreak should start looking for.

Pet pig? o_O

And Togekiss is like... a horrible evolution, too. >_< But at least it could punch with its wings or something. I don't think Miju3 could stand up (those are flippers not feet like Swampert) and I'm SURE Tsu3 can't (it has no limbs at all).

It's gotta be just the picture, not the page the picture is on. You have right click the picture and select "Open Image". It'll take you to a page where it's just the picture you opened and from there you copy THAT URL and put THAT in the image tags.
