Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Okay. Well since there are no moving NPC's (I'm at the Cerulean Pokemart) am I going to still be exiting out of Pokegear on the frame before my target (which is in this case, 205) and talking to the man as soon as possible?
No, since there are no wandering NPCs there, you don't have to talk to him as soon as possible... you can wait as long as you'd like and your frame won't advance (unless you walk or something).

since there are no moving NPCs doesn't matter, do it fast or wait half an hour, whatever is most convenient

I can't find any info for abusing Wonder Cards in HG/SS. I am guessing I am just overlooking it though. Can someone link me, or PM me and explain how to do it, please?
Look for my post in the RNG Research

It the same as Dppt but easier.
Hit your time and delay and you advance the frame via radio method

Has anyone had a problem with roamers in Platinum advancing the frame inconsistently? I was going for a WonderCard Jirachi on seed FB100958, frame 26, and I had Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres roaming. Here are what my frame advancements should have been if I understand correctly:

+3 (Roamers)
+22 (11 Journal pages)
+1 (WonderCard on frame 1)
= Jirachi on frame 26

However, multiple times, after hitting my seed, the Jirachi I got was on frame 27. I've tried multiple different saves (making sure to save while the lone wandering NPC was still) and I always button-mash to speak to the man as fast as I can. Even with the wandering NPC, I never had the problem of getting the wrong frame when I used 1 roamer and 12 Journal pages.

Has anyone else had similar issues?
No not really had problems with NPCs though. You may want to experiment and see if your consistently off.

In bell tower, how many frames were advanced between getting up the ladder to talking to Ho-oh?
It kinda random, sometimes its zero and other times it can advance from 0-to some number.
During your trial to hit your time, If you hit the wrong delay, use that delay and rng like normal and see if you land on the frame like your would if you hit the right time/delay(DONT SAVE DURING THE PROCESS THOUGH)

My AR DSi was bricked, so I couldn't RNG abuse without recalibrating. I got a new one, same as the last one but I was wonder... do all AR DSi's have the same seconds to boot up the game or it's different for every one?

I believe it's different depending on the number of codes you are using combined with how old your DSi is (older versions load slower, same for ones with wear and tear, at least in my case).

Well... Shining Kestral has been trying to help me but Ive had problems and they are stumped.

What are you trying to capture\hatch? I am trying to Wondercard RNG Flawless Ivs onto the FAL2010 Mew event that is out now.

What is your target seed and frame? What is the delay of that seed? My target seed is 52140289 and I think the frame is 1. The delay is 639 of that seed.

How did you verify your seed? I verified my seed by using Elm Calls but I did not get the correct results.

If you tried and failed, what results did you get? I got the wrong set of Elm calls and when I searched them I got no results. I did not pick up the Mew as I didnt get the right Elm Calls...

I really have no clue what is going on as it is my first time trying any RNG... Shining Kestral thinks the problem is in my delay and seconds. Im using a delay of 495 and seconds of 13.

Well, first of all, if your frame is 1 and you're doing Elm calls you are never going to get your target frame, since they advance it once per call. Second, did you calibrate before doing this? I don't use pikatimer, but I know you have to enter a calibrated seconds and delay which I assume is your 495 and 13. Did you just randomly choose those or did you actually calibrate and found those to be what you hit most often?

No I did calibrate and my seconds was 13 and the most occuring delay was 495 and around that... I dont know the frame so I
guessed...

EDIT: Wow Im dumb! My bad, the frame is 116.

Alright well as far as the timing goes I can't help you with pikatimer, but I know that when that happens for me (calls or coin flips not matching) that most times I have entered something in wrong somewhere, like I have put the wrong date or time in my DS, or I have simply entered an incorrect delay into the timer I use (emloop). I would double check everything first, and if you haven't found the problem after that maybe someone else knowledgeable could look into what you're doing with pikatimer.

Edit: Also, if your calibrated delay wasn't very consistent that may be a problem. In RNG Reporter change the generated delay range from +/- 10 to +/- 20 and see if that helps.

I just checked and I do have the right calibrated delay, wanted delay, calibrated second, and wanted second input into PikaTimer.

Edit: We currently have the delay range from -90 to +90 and the seconds from -3 to +3

Well I'm using the same DS, which btw I'm using the lite. (Since I hit better the delays) So the seconds should be the same, right?

EDIT: Never mind. My delays are slightly lower and my seconds are now 14. ): 3 seconds of life will be wasted each time I RNG abuse. lol.

Well if you've double checked everything (date/time included) then I don't know what other advice to give you.... :/

How would you go about doing it, since you can't call to check your seed, or by roamers? Let alone how would I advance the frame? O_o
well you'd have to find a spread that is on the same frame as your starter's monster frame, for example you'd have to find your desired spread on frame 9 for totodile. Alternatively, you can let the NPCs make the advancements for you, but that hardly ever works out without the use of save states. Of course if you have an AR or other means of checking IVs then you can use seed finder to check your seed; otherwise, you're in for a real headache if you plan on RNGing them.

I am not completely for sure I want to RNG them, but it sounds fun. So I was thinking about trying it, since I'm doing new things to my sister's HG. Just finished my first HG ID/SID abuse.
I might give it a go, thanks for your help Nexus, it's much appreciated! ^_^

Trouble again. Anyone knows another way to calibrate the seconds with a ARDSi? First I got 14 seconds but I realize I'm not even near from hitting my seed. So I try to calibrate again but instead I get every time 5 seconds. I know that's impossible, so any other ways to calibrate? (This wouldn't be happening if my old one wasn't bricked!)

all right so im using pikatimer

the time it gives me is a little much?

i go at my normal pace but i noticed that i hit A on the continue screen a little before my second timer is up?

how do i adjust this? im supposed to hit A on the continue screen when the 2nd timer IS up right?
