That's true. In fact, we may end up with as many as three people on 15/21 points at the end. It's looking like a shame that zdrup and I will probably have a close match.

I would also like to give the first 'update' on my Scramble:

auramaster, you are a terrible human being. Having to catch everything in a route before I can go on is driving me nuts. Did you know that in only the ~4th area you come to, you can get Golbats 5% of the time? It takes ages, and I'm still trying to find one. It also happens, that because of your Pokemon, Derago (who I admit will end up amazing) that my team currently only has fighting moves. Only. And when you only come across Poison types, it gets quite tiresome. My only other Pokemon is Insomniac, who at the moment is useless, again only knowing fighting moves.
 
Lol sorry Atheno, I'll change it. You no longer have to catch every Pokemon in a route, but if you see a wild Pokemon that you haven't caught yet, you must try to catch it. Also, you don't have to go back to every route after getting Surf, but if you go back through a route or city that has item's you skipped, you must get those items. That better?
 
Hey everyone, while I haven't posted an update for my mono-Fire scramble recently, I've been working on it slowly. My team is now right outside Sunnyshore, and having trouble with the fishermen.
For reference, my team:
-Chimchar-no stab moves after evo. Must evolve by lvl 30, named FiaFighta
-Slugma-Rocky-must have only Rock-type moves to evolve, after evo. any moves allowed. No HS to get moves for evolution
-Ponyta-must be caught in route 206/207-after evolution must carry macho brace. Can't get Flare Blitz as Ponyta
-Charmander-evolve after Canalave-for each evo stage, lose one move slot
-Magby-can evolve into Magmar after soloing Gyrados, evolve in Magmortar after soloing Flint
-Vulpix-Ms.Cleo-no more than one move of each type, can evolve after getting one of every kind of evo. stone
So far, my team has been kicking but, with only Ms.Cleo lagging behind. Infernape is tearing shit up between grass knot and thunderpunch, and even has shadow claw for coverage. Magby managed to hax a gyrados to death easily enough between confuse ray, double team, and smokescreen, but as magmar is providing needed power with flamethrower and rock climb. Rapidash is sill fast, even with the Macho brace, and has power to spare w/o Flare Blitz yet. Magcargo is possibly the best poke on my team due to his insane bulk, recover, and lava plume. Charizard has decent power and coverage between Flamethrower and Dragon Claw, and is quite fast. Ninetales is currently suffering from poor movepool syndrome, but should get better quite soon.
I have been having problems with my game freezing occasionally (including once against Cyrus v 2 and once against Giratina), so I haven't made my best progress. Also, mono-Fire teams suck.

Edit: Also, could someone explain how you freeze a fire monkey please? Cause that happened, twice.

Golem's a beast, Zangoose is sexy (SD, Toxic, Dig, normal move), Plusle's adorable, Combusken's cool, and the others are shit.

That is much better. The large amount of procrastination about doing this Scramble will be lessened.

It is going to be a huge pain. And it also contradicts with auramaster, so I may have to make an exception for his rule. I'm also liking the way that I got a large number of these ridiculous rules. I probably should have said something about it in my first post. The other fun bits will be a one-attack Drifloon, Scizor soloing Empoleon, against which his moves are all NVE, Machoke, which can only attack through Resttalk and looking for a calm Slowpoke. I would be very happy with auramaster at this point for his Infernape, except for his other requirements. I'll probably need to come to this thread and complain a bit, so heads up for that.

Yes but you'll battle doom and I'm sure he will tell me when it will happen.
And I didn't say it was the only one, did I? But doom will help me by defeating you so I guess it won't matter xD

EDIT: I'm starting my Scramble right now. I should only capture the 10 bidoofs today to see which one will be my partner. This should be interesting because I've always hated Bidoof but I've never used one. I only hate him for breaking my chains at 40s (more than 5 times).

EDIT2: Caught 9 bidoofs, 8 Athenas and 1 Atheno. I'll check the stat total now.

EDIT3: And we have a winner: Athena, Adamant/Simple/17+8+8+6+8+7=54 (she also hates to lose). I've also decided to keep a Jolly/Simple often lost in thought that was almost as good
 
The FINAL ROUND is up! I've also written the detailed analysis of the 3 candidates to win SPL.
Also, me and Atheno will probably battle at 23:00 GMT+1 so, if anyone would like to watch, just be on pokelab at that time.
 
Ruby Scramble Update:
1. a Plusle named Joy. It must be female, and can only know one attacking move. - auramaster
2. Take a Torchic, name it Starter. It is your starter, obviously! It must always keep Sand-attack, and evolve into Combusken on Level 21. It may not evolve into Blaziken. Just for fun (meaning you have to do it), have it solo Flannery's Torkoal. - DetroitLolcat
3. a Zangoose. Once you beat 4 Pokemon with this Zangoose, its moveset must be comprised of moves of that Pokemon's main type. No running from battle either, you must battle 4 consecutive Pokemon until Zangoose defeats four. If he faints in his first 4 battles, he cannot learn a move of that type. - Dexington
4. a Geodude named Arcticblas. Can't have STAB moves. - zdrup15
5. Zubat - Flapper - Awww...It appears that your Zubat has taken one of your Cheri Berries! You try to take it, but it refuses to let it go! So it must hold a Cheri Berry for it to fight. You can evolve Zubat whenever, but for Golbat to evolve, It must solo two of Watson's three Pokemon. - Its_A_Random
6. You get a Gyarados! It may only know Special moves. No Physical, no support. It must always be your highest leveled pokemon starting at level 30. - Texas Cloverleaf
1. Joy will pass Double Team / Agility.
2. It'll probably fall out of favor, but makes a decent Pokemon.
3. Baton Pass recipent and SD make for sexiness.
4. You never said it couldn't evolve ;) HP Ghost ftw

6. I see a level 29 Gyarados not present in the Elite Four.

I'm currently at Mt. Chimney, having not played much, about to battle Maxie. Zangoose died, but he's underleveled anyway.
 
RUBY SCRAMBLE UPDATE

Chicken the Blaziken: must solo 3 gym mains to become Blaziken; before battling Groudon, it must have the following moveset:
Flamethrower/Blaze Kick/Ember
Quick Attack/Double Kick/Slash
Mirror Move/Peck
Bulk Up/Focus Energy
Mawile: must solo Tate & Liza; can only use healing items right after opponent does; teach a TM when fainted; TM must be weaker than move replaced; no less than two attacks
Gyarados: Must learn all Water HMs; no level-up moves after evolving
Zangoose: must fight 4 wild Pokemon consecutively immediately after being caught; final moveset must include one move of the same type as the four Pokemon fought; if it loses to one, it may not use that type, unless already obtained
Scarecrow the Cacturne: may not switch out until it evolves; must have at least two attacks; may evolve after knocking ten Pokemon out with Leech Seed and Ingrain in play;
Bagon: may not learn recoil-moves; may not learn any STAB moves until it evolves into Salamence

Chicken the Combusken, Lv. 24, Lonely
Double Kick, Sand-Attack, Focus Energy & Ember

Has soloed two gym mains.

Ok, so you'll play ruby, right? Damn, I remember when I played ruby... It was a great game and it all went well untill the battle against Groudon! That pokemon was really tough mainly because of the intense sunlight he starts. And what do you want when it's hot? A coca-cola with ice, right? Well, I can't help you with the first but I will give you some ice!
I give you Brrr the Castform. It must have Hail and use it at the beginning of all the major battles enters (like the one against Groudon). Because you use it to provide ice, it can't learn any fire-type moves. It also has to solo the E4 walrein to show who's the coldest.
 
im just going to say im effectively out of the tourny because of school >_> i've had a test/exam on almost every single day this past week, and huge quarter test for math on monday that effectively counts triple for me so i have to study my ass off.

cause of the stupid way that my school formats when we take tests, which makes it so that if you miss one test, the next one counts double since by the next day everyone else who took one has gotten it back already, so there would be a possibility that you looked over the test already and knew all the answers. quarter tests count double so now i get a triple test D:

i dont think i can challenge vikingraider at this point, so just give him an activity win
 
Paradox, I am currently taking my end of school exams, and tomorrow morning I am taking the hardest maths exam in the country (still not very hard), but I still manage to schedule battles for Tourneys. It's only a couple of minutes.

That... is a bit tough. No one in my house cares when I had/have exams or tests, so it is kind of hard to imagine. Although, I go to a nerd school, so I have some contact with asain parents and they all seem not to notice: don't you use the internet to study?
 
I'm doing it, Soul Silver scramble. Can trade with a completed Platinum (also has SS pokemon).
The rules.
-at least 2 pokemon by the second gym, and 3 by the third.
-Must have a complete team by the E4.
And thats it.
Also one slot is reserved for doomvendingmachine.
 
Ray gets a MEP (trade one over from your Plat game). It shall be nicknamed ForTehLulz and must always be the second highest level pokemon in your party. It also must solo Claire's Kingdra.
