Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

That was fast @.@
Anyway, I didn't have a Lati roaming around because I wasn't able to catch up for the Enigma Stone Event. Just a question, how come your Timers were waaay lower than I had for my PikaTimer? Also, how would I advance my frame (provided that the target seed was hit)?

If my first timer is over 72, I subtract 60 from it, and set the timer 1 minute ahead of what it tells me to:

In this case the first timer was about 84, so I changed it to 24, and set it to 1 minute behind instead of 2.

To advance your seed you can use Elm calls, they advance the frame 1 at a time, it's reliable, but hideously slow (about 50 minutes to advance to your frame).

Personally I like to use the radio.
The bottom right hand station (provided it's not Buena's Password) will advance the frame by 1 each time you tune to it. If you just keep clicking the bottom right button, and then pressing up on the D-Pad to take the cursor back to the centre (don't go left to the exact centre, just get it to the central line - and be careful not to go too far up - i.e. don't tune to any other stations).
Every 50 or so advances, I go back to my Elm calls, and check that I'm still in line with what I should be getting (and if I'm not, work out where I am and go from there).

Thanks for the tips. I don't have troubles finding seeds now, just hitting my delays.. D: I guess it'll take a long time after hitting the seed to advance the frames. I think I have to hit frame 391. I'm not so sure if what I did was right, but to summarize, here is what I've done.

1. Calibrated the initial seed from Mt. Silver Poke's and averaged at 490 for the delay and 14 for seconds.
2. Got my spread from PokeRNGDP and copy-pasted the seed, 43010702, to RNG Reporter's Seed to Time.
3. Generated results for HGSS without any roamers on my map.
4. Picked up 11/01/2010 @ 01:56 with 1784 Delay for my target seed.
5. Opened up PikaTimer, placed
Calibrated delay - 490
Wanted Delay - 1784
Calibrated Second - 14
Wanted Second 0
First Timer at 83.43
Second Timer at 35.57
6. Hit Start on PikaTimer and OK on my DS, with its clock at 01:54
7. Started my game and soft-reseted it when 1st timer reaches 0
8. Hit Continue when 2nd timer reaches 0.

Items 1-6, I have no problem. Just 7-8 onwards... I also tried scrolling at the menu screen. Still missed my delay.. Needs more practice I guess.

When you were doing your calibration, were the delays that you hit even or odd? They should always have been one or the other.

Well, it seems to me that I currently have no hope in D/P/Pt IV Breeding. Can anyone help me with HG then? Are you supposed to open up generate times, select HG, then generate to find the elm call for your seed? And at the bottom, do you click generate and search elm calls?

I'm back to RNGing again, though not using Pikatimer as my external clock (I've been using my MP3 player, which works equally as well).

Does it matter if the first timer on Pikatimer says -0.01 when I press A on the first timer? Because when I press A, I see the split second of that instead of exactly zero.

Also, if you keep entering your delays, will you eventually have to get to the right one in the above scenario?

When .com said something about even or odd, did he say that all your delays are all even or all odd? What did he mean?

OK, generally, when I RNG breed, I go for an odd frame because then I can call Joey X number of times and my wanted egg will be the one right the day care couple has next.

Now, I'm trying to RNG breed a Magnemite that's shiny on Frame 4. Since it's even, I assumed that unlike the odd frames, I'd need to reject an egg after 1 call. But when I hatched my egg, I ended up with Frame 5's egg. Am I doing something wrong?

I think you have to call Joey once, then reject the first egg and take the second, but I may be mistaken.

Okay, I just finished the HARDEST RNG breed of my life... and I have five more to go. Help?

I'm in Platinum, no roamers about. I'm having no special problems hitting my desired seed, but hitting my FRAME is a nightmare--if I need it to be even, it's odd. if I need it to be odd, it's even. I'm saving right next to the Day Care man, and I'm talking to him as quickly as possible (the Buneary is only able to take a single step). Am I just getting REEALLY unlucky, or is there something else I can do?

Well, you could always do it In HG/SS and be able to check your seed and advance the frame without the sole npc in the area moving at all.

Can someone answer my earlier questions?

Is HGSS RNG breeding easier? The last I tried HGSS RNGing, it nearly gave me an aneurysm. Then again, I was trying to hit a frame in the 1000+ range...

ok stop whining, to answer the question about delays, every game is different, your delay is always going to be odd (601,603 etc.) or even (600,602 etc.)

I am trying to look for Jolly/Adamant/Bold natures in the RNGReporter for Method K Pokes, but no results come up. I'm searching within a delay range of 610-640 and a max frame of 150.

Anyone have seeds that might be able to help, or at least point me in the right direction? For example, on Adamant, I'm selecting 31 IVs for all stats except SpA, which I don't know what to put for. I usually just put "None" but I think I can't get results that way. I don't know what ==, <=, =>, !=, etc means.

Mine is odd. So, can someone who knows tell me if the first timer being at -0.01 exactly as I press the a button at the ds startup affects anything?

And is it a surefire thing that I will get my seed eventually if I keep writing the delays?

(Sorry for whining.)

Hey guys, a couple questions.
1. What method is Lugia (on Soul Silver)?
2. When I look up a good Timid spread the frame is like 1000+ (that would take FOREVER!) So, was I just seeing something wrong and is there a way around it, or am I stuck?
3. Is there any way to save before battling (once you've RNG'd correctly) to make sure that you don't mess up and accidentally kill/run out of Pokeballs?

I have RNG'ing for Shiny Flawless (breeding) pretty down pat, just so no one has to go over that again :D
