Take any Pokemon. That's right. Whatever you want. No evolution restrictionsIt must be caught before Flannery, however. Name it Moveslot. If you decide to keep all four moveslots, it must abide by the first column, if you sacrifice one slot, it must abide by the second column, if you delete two, it must abide by the third column.

Column 1, 4 slots Column 2, 3 slots 3, 2 slots
Before Flannery: 21 24 29
Before Norman: 23 26 31
Before Winona: 25 28 33
Before Liza+Tate: 32 35 42
Before Juan: 35 38 46
Before the E4: 43 48 58

Take a Walrein. It must know Hail, Substitute and Protect and stall out three pokemon blonging to different Elite Four members using only the above moves.

Dummy, I'll give you something normal unlike everyone but Texas. Take a Electrike, only moveset restriction being that it know Howl. Work with that however you want. Evolve after soloing Winona.

This is just ridiculous...

Why don't you do it yourself before giving it away? Then tell us how fun it was.
OK, fine. I'll retract that one. Instead:

Take a Torchic. It must know Ember at all times, and Ember must be used at least once in every Gym Leader battle (not E4). NN "Amber."

Here we go (I guess).

The Team:

Ralts that can never exceed level 30. Call it L8GameJunk (Treadshot A1)

Dummy007, you can take any non-evolving non-legendary, but the only move it can use in battle is Hidden Power. (yaya0)

(I'm assuming these are level restrictions.) (DetroitLolcat)

Predictions (from MVP to LVP):
Ralts (with loophole exploitation)
Torchic
Electrike
Walrein
DetroitLolcat Mon
yaya0 Mon

UPDATE: I have determined that DetroitLolcat's Mon will be Ninjask. yaya0's will be Makuhita, which will be great until I get the Hidden Power TM (I'm assuming I can use other moves until I get it). I will also opt not to exploit the loophole in Treadshot's.

Choosing a non-mixed pokemon for the hidden power challenge either means you have a lot of balls or just dont plan on using it after finding the tm.

Pretty much option 2, but there's a 50/50 chance of getting a physical Hidden Power, so it's worth a shot.

EDIT:
New predictions list (from MVP to LVP):

Torchic (Only 1 restriction, and an easy one to boot)
Electrike (Solo Winona almost immediately after getting T-Bolt? Heck yeah!)
Walrein (Decent, but late catch is late)
Ninjask (DL Mon) (Chosen strategically for Baton Pass purposes)
Makuhita (yaya0 Mon) (Could be useful if it gets HP Fighting)
Ralts (Great early game, but that Level 30 restriction stinks)

By the way, Texas Cloverleaf, can I alter your restriction slightly to make it both easier and more stallish? The edit is: ...must know Hail, Substitute, Protect, and Toxic and stall...

When I saw "Latest Post: Treadshot A1" I knew I was in for it. Ironically, I'll take Treadshot's (due to a semi-loophole that allows it to exceed level 30 if it evolves), but that second one is insane. I'll have to reject it if the rest of my challenges are as difficult as these two.
No levelling past 30 regardless of evolution stage, you coward.

Dang you Dummy007, you just pwned my requirements. :( Stupid Baton Pass. But remember: you don't get Baton Pass until Level 45!

Pearl No-Evo Scramble Update #1

Alrighty, here's the first update for my LC Mons Scramble...

The Pokemon...
  • Shinx (Lailaps): Must know Return (Athenodoros)
  • Piplup (Mr Penguin): Must be male. Must solo rival's main Pokemon at each battle. Once Surf is learned, it may never learn another level up or Water type move (Sprocket)
  • Buneary (Larolla): When it learns a level up move, the oldest move is replaced. It is to be taught exactly 2 TM's/HM's after each gym, starting with the 2nd. Cannot learn more than 2 TM's or 2 HM's at any time (auramaster)
  • Misdreavus (Missy): Can only learn & use STAB moves. For it to learn other type attacks, you must own an Unown of an appropriate HP (Paradox808)
  • Hippopotas: Cannot use Normal-type moves. If it has one, it must be overwritten ASAP (DetroitLolcat)
  • Starly: Must have a moveset of Quick Attack/Agility, Whirlwind/Endeavor, Brave Bird/Take Down & Fly before Palkia. Must Solo Gardenia at a level below 17, Maylene below 33, & One of Volkner's Pokemon (Chocolate-Kipp)

The adventure so far in text...
So, I go through the pre-game shit & get the game going. This time, I decide to be the girl for this scramble & I've named myself "LC Mons" to say that this is a No-Evo Scramble. I also named my Rival "Idiot", because I can. I travel with Idiot to Lake Verity & get attacked by two Starly. I look in the briefcase & pick up a Poke Ball & use it. A blue male penguin comes out. I command it to Pound the crap out of the male Starly & win. After the ensuing dialogue, I get told to visit an old grumpy guy's lab & do so, picking up a Pokedex & the blue penguin I used. I name him "Mr Penguin" & get the game in gear. I learn how to catch Pokemon thanks to a boy named Lucas & I go back to Route 201 to catch a Pokemon.

I eventually encounter the same Lv2 Starly that attacked me earlier & the bird "reasons" with Mr Penguin about what had happened earlier. Starly accepts the offer to join me & goes inside a Poke Ball. I name him "Chocolate" & start training him. It was a pain to start with, but it eventually got better, in the meantime, Mr Penguin & Chocolate managed to get a new recruit to their team: Lailaps the Shinx. Lailaps also gets trained & quickly becomes loyal to me. She seems to like me a lot.

I arrive in Jubilife & get a Poketch. I also give Idiot a Journal & defeat the School Kids. It then go & beat the Trainers on Route 204 before finding Idiot just as I was about to head on my way to Oreburgh & challenge him to a battle.

I send in Lailaps while Idiot sends in a Starly. Lailaps ends up scoring an easy 4HKO with Tackle.
I then send in Mr Penguin on Turtwig (Because I have to). After Growling Turtwig's Attack to -6, Mr Penguin then easily scores the KO after Two KO's & Six or Seven Bubbles, winning me the battle.

After that battle, I heal at the Pokemon Centre & head towards Oreburgh. Arriving there, I get escorted to the gym, where Idiot tells me that the Gym Leader's in a mine. So I go there & tell the Gym Leader to get his ass up to the Gym. After a little bit of grinding, I go into the Gym, deal with the minor trainers & confront Roark.

I sent out Mr Penguin while Roark sent in Geodude. Mr Penguin quickly ended Geodude's fun, OHKOing with Bubble.
Next was Onix, who fell in similar fashion, but managed to set up Stealth Rock.
I sent in Lailaps for Cranidos, & lasted for a while, getting Cranidos down to half health even after a potion before being KOed by Cranidos.
I then sent in Chocolate, but he was quickly 2HKOed by a combination of Headbutt & Pursuit without doing anything thanks to Flinch-Hax.
So It was down to Mr Penguin, & after a nothing turn, Mr Penguin shrugs off a Headbutt to crit KO with Bubble, winning me the battle, the Stealth Rock TM, & the Coal Badge.

After that, I heal at the Pokemon Centre. Good start, but Chocolate's looks like it's going to be a pain as I head back to Jubilife, & that's where we leave off...

And the Team...

Chocolate (Male Starly) @ Nothing
Lv:12/Lax/Keen Eye
-Tackle
-Growl
-Quick Attack
-Wing Attack
Comments: It's only early days, but the fact that it needs to solo Gardenia at a level below Lv17 could be a pain...Double Team next level...

Lailaps (Female Shinx) @ Nothing
Lv:13/Jolly/Intimidate
-Tackle
-Leer
-Charge
-Bite
Comments: Early days, so can't say much...Jolly nature & Intimidate should be a big help soon. Can't get Return until Lost Tower though...

Mr Penguin (Male Piplup) @ Nothing
Lv:16/Modest/Torrent
-Pound
-Growl
-Bubble
-Peck
Comments: Still early days, but he's the early MVP at the moment. Modest nature is a good thing.

So, first part over & done with, Chocolate will need to play a crucial part next update, should also get the Buneary & Misdreavus in my Scramble next update. All in all, a good start. :)

Starly should pull through, i only won my Scramble against the E4 by Double Team haxxing with a Staraptor. So i suggest you make full use of Double Team.

I just realized that there is a clause in yaya0's requirement that forces me to pick a non-evolving non-legendary to learn Hidden Power. As a result, I change my choice from Makuhita to the mixed sweeper Seviper, making the final team (at the Elite Four):

Blaziken
Manectric
Walrein
Ninjask
Seviper
Gardevoir

That actually looks like a decent team. Now if I could just ignore the insane requirements...

Athenodoros

Official Smogon Know-It-All
Don't worry, the fearsomely loyal Lailaps will pick up the slack. And I think max levels is a bit harsh. Maybe a maximum level for its final evolution next time?

Lailaps will...Agree, Starly's solo Gym Leader x below Level y requirements is a bit harsh, but hey, I'm after a challenge, & this should help encourage smart play from me (i.e. Double Team Abuse).

Just posting to say I've already asked Kestral to breed that Hitmonlee for Dexington and am now waiting for it to be done.

Ok, since the talk about the tournament I proposed has ended days ago, I'll PM some people (I'm including myself on the tournament - you know that I like battling as much as I like hosting xD) and the first seven to accept the invitation will be on the tournament.

I will also ask what tier do you prefer but the choice is only between OU and UU because those two are the most popular ones. Obviously the most voted will win.

It will be a much shorter tournament with best of three elimination with no special rules so you can use your regular teams.

EDIT: PMs sent. I've also PMed two of my friends here because I think they are good players and this will be a lot of fun with fresh blood (one has actually asked a Scramble challenge a while ago but I don't want to go through all these pages to see if he finished)
