Hey, Smogon. I've tested this team on Pokemon Online, and it actually has won more battles than it lost. I've started to become a serious competitive battler ever since late October, and I've learned a few things during the past few weeks. One of which is that it's not how powerful a team is that matters, it's how you use a team. So without further ado, here it is! Changes are in red.
Metagross @ Lum Berry
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 80 HP/124 Atk/252 SAtk/ 52 Spe
Quiet Nature
-Meteor Mash
-Grass Knot
-Stealth Rock
-Bullet Punch
Having the highest attack in OU, Metagross proves to be an extremely powerful machine. Due to Boondocker's suggestion, the moves Psychic and Hidden Power Fire have been changed to Grass Knot and Stealth Rock. Meteor Mash hits very hard, Grass Knot takes care of Swampert and Hippowdon, and Bullet Punch is for Focus Sashers.
Dragonite @ Lum Berry
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 HP/52 Atk/ 204 Spe
Adamant Nature
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake
-Roost
Having Dragon Dance and a STAB move, Dragon Claw in his moveset, Dragonite is a force to be reckoned with. This one also has great synergy with Metagross, taking hits from Ground and Fire type moves. Roost also keeps it going just like the energizer bunny. Earthquake is also used to take down threats such as Heatran, and Lum Berry prevents sleepers from doing their job. However, since Flygon is on the team, now, Dragonite may or may not be replaced. Anyone who thinks he must be replaced, please say so right now.
Magnezone @ Leftovers
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 40 Atk/216 Spe/252 SAtk
Timid Nature
-Thunderbolt
-Hidden Power Ice
-Substitute
-Explosion
Aside from being the main electric tank of the group, Magnezone's Magnet Pull ability allows it to take on Steel type threats such as Scizor and Forretress and prevent them from switching out. It's high Special Attack also allows it to take down even Calm Mind Suicune with ease, and with Hidden Power Ice on it's side, Flygon goes down pretty damn easily.
Flygon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk/4 SDef/252 Spe
Adamant Nature
-Earthquake
-U-turn
-Thunderpunch
-Outrage
Weavile was originally on this spot, but it was replaced by Flygon due to Boondocker's suggestion. Flygon is here to patch up the GyaraJolt weakness as well as deal heavy damage with Outrage. Flygon is also used to scout with U-Turn and Thunderpunch helps against Gyarados, as well as use Earthquake to rid the playing field of Tyranitar and most UU Steel Types. Sorry, Danmire, Fire Blast is out. Yeah, I know I said not to suggest Choice Items, but I see how Choice Scarf works for Flygon.
Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/ 252 Spe
Timid Nature
-Hydro Pump
-Thunderbolt
-Ice Beam
-Recover
With it's high speed and STAB boosted Hydro Pump, Starmie is a force to be reckoned with. With Ice Beam, it's also Dragonite's worst nightmare. This is another Pokemon on this team that is also like the energizer bunny with Recover in it's moveset.
Infernape @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 64 Atk/252 SAtk/192 Spe
Naive Nature
-Flamethrower
-Close Combat
-Grass Knot
-Hidden Power Ice
This fiery chimp makes even the dumbest of trainers regret their bravery. With two powerful STAB moves, Infernape can really wipe the floor with even Skarmory (Flamethrower) or Blissey (Close Combat). Grass Knot is also very useful for those bulky water types such as Swampert, and Hidden Power Ice is for Dragon Types like Dragonite who thinks it can counter Infernape.
Well, that's the team. If there are any changes to the team that need to be made, any changes to the thread in general, or threats to the team that I need to know about, please do not hesitate to point them out, as improvements are greatly appreciated. Also, please do not suggest Choice Items because they limit you to one attack and then you're screwed.
