I have a question regarding running RNG reporter on an intel based mac. I have all the files unpacked to my desktop; however, when I open RNG reporter it gives me the message: "sh: mono: command not found". Can you help me out?
Hey, so the set up:
On platinum, I've already caught moltres/articuno/zapdos/mespirit/cresselia. So this is a two part question.
1) If I "release" these pokemon (like toss/throw away) will they continue to roam around the map if I do something? (Like speak to Professor Oak)?
2) If this does work, how would I RNG abuse them? Would I do the delay/soft-resetting/adding-up-frames before I visit Oak or find the other two in their cave/island? Or would I do the frame-thingy right before I actually capture them?

I have a Mac! :D I use RNG Reporter on it. Just VM me if you're unable to get it working after reading the post.
Unlikely at best. It'd be a very small chance that that would be possible for the ID/SID you happen to have.

You can be lucky and get a near flawless or flawless seed, but remember you can only get 1 of the egg out of the three pokes.
Okay, so I'm on my seed for my 31/x/31/31/31/31 shiny Raikou. I've got 3 roamers out, positions all confirmed, and I've done Elm calls 10 times (confirmed). So that's +13 to the frame. I'm at Cerulean City Pokémon Center, with the mart delivery guy ready to go.
The target frame is 1261 (on method 1; wondercard IVs on RNG Reporter says 1263). So I understand I have to run through 1262 frames. Assuming the frame starts at 0 (so, it's now at 13) I now have to call Elm once more, and then Youngster Joey 624 times. (I just called him once; he didn't ask for a rematch, so he's good for advancing the frame, right?)
Is this correct? Don't really want to screw this up :D

Save yourself from a major rage man.
Make sure no elm calls are skipped. you say you have all three roamers out, and in there should be something like this next to your elm calls:
(E, K, P, K skipped)
which basically tells you that you have started on frame 4, i.e. the four calls skipped above right? check that on your reporter
and come back, keep track of the calls you've made, you don't want
to mess this up cause it's a pretty high frame D:
Your messing the frame for Raikou
I will assume that you have input the location of the roamers in the RNGReport to give accurate frame advancement from roamers.
Yes you can use joey calls but I will advance you to learn to advance frames with the radio far it is way quicker, way quicker.
But to the point,
This is the formula for the amount of advancement needed
Target frame -(roamers advancement)-(1 for raikou) = advancement
For you (WONDERCARD METHOD)
1263-3-1 = 1259 advancement but you will check the seed so its
1259-9(for elm/irwin seed verification) = 1250
You will call elm 9 times
Advance the frame 1250, then talk to the pokemart guy
If you can, save in fuchia pokemart as there are no npc
Other than the fact that it's three calls, yes, all that has been listed.
I've got (K, P, E skipped), then a further list of 10 elm calls, which have all been verified. It says "Frames Advanced: 3".
So:
Turn game on: 0
Three roamers: 3
Ten Elm calls: 10
Starting frame: 13
Target frame: 1263
Frames to skip: 1262 - 13 = 1249
One (additional) Elm call: 1248
One Joey call: 1246
Remaining Joey calls: 623
My DS thinks it's 11 in the morning so there should be no date rollover issues.

Looking good man, now, if you have the time to play it safe and call joey,
Do it. If you have no experience with the radio before this, don't touch it.
Sometimes if you don't have a steady hand, the radio station might blink and it'll be a mess. You don't want that.
But if you're confident with hitting your delay, you might want to softreset
and get a feeling of the radio advancement, cause it is indeed QUICK. :)
Otherwise, you're on the right track. <3

Yeah... I'm 450 Joey calls in. Never. Again. By my calculations, this will be 72 minutes of pure Youngster calling. Uirana's gonna be the biggest creep in Kanto. :\
This frame I'm aiming for happens to be Timid, though, so if I don't find anything better, I may have to learn the radio for Celebi next month.

Yeah, Rash. :\ I would have preferred Timid, of course, but I plan to run Sub so I don't think it's going to matter too much. Aura Sphere and Weather Ball are just too huge. The Celebi isn't shiny and therefore should be (able to be) Timid, I hope.
Oh, and while you're here, what is (in your opinion) the advantage to Platinum RNG as opposed to SS? This is a lot easier than I thought it would be. (So far I've gotten two flawless breeds from Emerald, and am quickly losing patience for it.)

edit: Ah well, found a better seed anyway. 731201FB, frame 466, delay 496 (the other seed's delay was 494 so this is manageable). The date is in February but still reasonable. (lol, a month of soft resetting.)

What I did with the radio was, rather than tapping the button and dragging it to the lower right, I simply slid it back and forth between the center, and the first opposite vertex. This was enough to make Pokémon Search Party appear in the banner, even though the actual transmission was still garbled. I wiggled it back and forth a hundred times, then used the elm calls on the main reporter page to verify where I was. Then I wiggled it another hundred times. Once I got to about 420 (of 466), I slowed down. When I got to 464, I backed out to make sure I wouldn't get a call. When I didn't, I called Elm one more time, and score. :D The wiggling is even quicker than regular button presses, heh.
Now I'm going to bed o_O;

Got a question about the Sinjoh Ruins Dragon trio. I know my game advances 6 frames when starting the whole event, until the moment I got to the place where I can choose between the 3 legends.
Now, Giratina and Dialga were good, but the first time I hit the delay Palkia, I guess I was 1 frame too early or too late >_< What did I do wrong? I did exactly the same as with Giratina and Dialga.
