he means let's say you catch a w unown. figure out its hidden power. let's say its psychic type hidden power. now you can go get a psychic type that's name starts with W (namely wobuffet). then he'll give you a challenge for it. he doesn't mean use an unown

Alright, just got back on and saw my list of pokemon... (silence). I have a feeling my rep may have spread a bit too far but I`m going to soldier through it.

Couple things to note.

benlarson: I did post saying that I had accepted the Meditite. Its your choixe whether I get the Tite or the Cross/Scyth.

Iggdrasil: I get the feeling that we wont be able to battle for quite a while first, because my mother is feeling like being a bitch about the computer (gogo cellphone), and second because we live in completely different time zones. Your Australian, Im Canadian so yeah. If we are ever online at the same time Ill be on the Smogon server and hopefully that will remind me of this Scramble.

To recap the Pokes:

Gallade
Meditite or Heracross/Scyther
Pachirisu
Monferno
Lumineon
Yet to be determined.

Should be one hell of an interesting challenge.

@gyara Just wanted to point out that you can't get a pikachu pre E4 in HG, if you want 1 before the E4 and can't trade you would get a voltorb.

P.S. Pachirisu is first alphabetically and Pichu is second so I don't know how you got pikachu in the first place.

EDIT: Damn, who ninja'd who?

Reserved for gyarados master

you get Timmy the Poliwag. Timmy always gets really distracted by the swirling on his stomach. He can only make 4 moves before getting distracted. Then you must roll a dice to move. 1 is move 1, 2 is move 2, etc., 5 is your choice between move 1 & 2, 6 is your choice between move 3 & 4. After evolving he gets more distracted by the swirling. Now he can only make 3 moves before getting distracted. However, he has better instinct, so 5 is roll again and 6 is your choice.
After evolving again he learns the martial arts and stops getting distracted. To prove it he must solo a E4 member.

@Gyarados Master:
You get Orphan the cubone. Orphan doesn't like hurting other pokemon, so he can only have 2 attacking moves, one of them MUST be False Swipe. Also, Orphan can't directly KO anything. You need to KO everything through sandstorm damage or send another pokemon to finish the job. If you accidentally KO something, Orphan can't battle until it levels up 1 level.

Edit: I didn't notice that you already copied and pasted my challenge to your team and didn't notice you were new at this, so I took out one of the priginal challenges. You can still do it if you want to.

Flare's FR Scramble

I'm playing FireRed for this scramble (Its the only game I can currently play, and its going to be on my PC, but I will not cheat. No fun in that.)

Special Rules (added to the original rules)
8 ~ All pokemon must be able to fully evolve
9 ~ Charmander will be my starter. (Personal preference/hatred of the other two)
10 ~ I obviously cannot trade
11 ~ I want this to be a medium-ish difficulty.
12 ~ Oh, and no all capital names. It drives me up the wall.

Take Phoenix the Charmander. Phoenix has always wanted to fly, but it angry that it doesn't have wings (yet). Therefore, it refuses to use STAB in protest. When it solos Lt. Surge to evolve to Charmeleon, it gets even angrier that it has evolved and STILL doesn't have wings. So it must learn Dragon Rage and use it twice in every Trainer battle it is involved in. After soloing Blaine and becoming Charizard, it is so proud of its new wings that it decides to use them to their fullest extent. Therefore, Phoenix must immediately learn Wing Attack, Aerial Ace, and Fly, the only three Flying-type moves it can learn in Gen 3. (The final move is up to you.) Finally, as a Charizard it must solo either Lorelei or Bruno.

Recap:
-Phoenix the Charmander
-As Charmander, no STAB allowed
-solo Lt. Surge to become Charmeleon
-must learn Dragon Rage as Charmeleon and use it twice in every trainer battle it appears in
-solo Blaine to become Charizard
-learn 3 Flying-type moves ASAP, solo Lorelei/Bruno

Flare is getting my pseudo-signature metronoming clefairy challange, I just have to find it first :)
EDIT:Can't find it so you get something slightly different, but still a clefairy with metronome. You get a clefairy named "NOTALLCAPs" (you may change the case of the letters if you want, but this doesn't break any rules). You must teach it Metronome, the rest of the moves are up to you but you may only have 1 damaging move at a time. In every important battle (gym leader, rival, rocket admin, E4, etc) you must send out clefairy and use metronome atleast once, unless you have to solo the opponent with another pokemon. To evolve solo any GLMP or any 2 gym leader pokemon with metronome.
Good luck. EDIT: GLMP stands for Gym Leader Main Pokemon and refers to a gym leaders highest leveled pokemon.

-must learn Dragon Rage as Charmeleon and use it twice in every trainer battle it appears in
-solo Blaine to become Charizard
-learn 3 Flying-type moves ASAP, solo Lorelei/Bruno

I'm like, 99% Positive this is impossible. Dragon Rage is lv 48 for Chameleon, and Wing Attack is lv 36 for Charizard. Correct me if I'm wrong in any of this, but the move learner is also on Island 4, post-E4...

@FP332, take a Seel named Chill. This Seel wants to fit in and be ready for any situation, so it must have a neutral nature, and must know Mimic. The other 3 moves must all be of different types. Solo 3 gym leader Pokemon without using a STAB move.

EDIT: The move relearner is on Two Island, which you can use pre-E4. The challenge is possible, but difficult and requires Phoenix to stay as Charmander and Charmeleon for almost the entire game.

Flare take a variable Oddish challenge. Directly after beating Nugget Bridge catch the first Oddish you see which Bulbapedia said should be between levels 12-14. Your challenge depends on the level it is:

12: Take Gluttony the obese Oddish. Gluttony loves to eat so it must know ASAP Moonlight and Giga Drain. The other two moves are up to you but it cannot learn Petal Dance as it is way too large for dancing. To evolve the first time it must solo Misty and then to evolve the second time must solo 100 trained Pokemon after Misty.

13: Take Abominable the vile Oddish. Abominable must know Poisonpowder and one other Poison STAB move. It cannot learn any Grass STAB. To evolve once it must KO 20 trained Pokemon through indirect Poison damage. To evolve again it must solo Erika to prove its the most vile Gloom ever.

14: Take Diva whether it's a boy or a girl. Diva is a professional dancer and so his/her final moveset must reflect this. Its final moveset must be Petal Dance, Sweet Scent, Stunning Powder, and Moonlight. To evolve once it must solo 100 Pokemon and using stun powder or sweet scent the first turn. To evolve again it must solo 100 more trained Pokemon

You get Timmy the Poliwag. Timmy the poliwag is constantly getting distracted by the swirling on his stomach. When he is in battle, he can only use 4 moves before he gets distracted. After that, you must decide his move using a dice. 1 is move 1, 2 is move 2 etc., 5 is your choice between 1 and 2, 6 is your choice between 3 and 4. After he evolves, he gets even more distracted by the swirling becuase it switches directions. Now he can only make 3 moves before getting distracted. However, he has better instinct so now 5 is roll again and 6 is your choice. When he evolves again he learns the martial arts and stops getting distracted. To prove that he doesn't get distracted he must solo an E4 member.

@flare edited in into my other post but it might get lost so here you go. GLMP stands for Gym Leader Main Pokemon and refers to a gym leaders highest leveled pokemon.
@plurple 100 trained pokemon? Seems rather high IMO. Another thing is that it's stun spore, not powder.
