or if you don't want a grass type, Electric Spider works fine. Compoundeyes Thunder FTW. Hitomoshi if you feel like wasting time to train it, or Gobitto when you get to DS Tower.
or god forbid, Unova!Zubat. That.
Edit: Sigilyph is only at Ancient Castle, so unless you want to train it from LV 15+ skip it.

iirc Professor Pedo- sorry, Juniper, she gives it to you at around Electric Rock Cave, for whacking the Plasma grunts in there.
If you already have a Hitomoshi, then you have the lucky egg.
The Egg is given to you in the storyline, cannot be missed whatsoever, and is obtained in the Electric Cave.
Ondore: It is possible to get a cubchoo easily before the 6th gym. All u need to do is set your DS to winter, then go the double grass just before the ridge for a level 32 cubchoo. From there, with the lucky egg, u can evolve it right before battling Furou. Beartic is amazing.
Lucky Egg makes such a difference. It's the reason I was able to get Braviary prepared before the E4. Rufflet comes so late in the game, and his slow exp growth is brutal, but Braviary does eat face once he's evolved, no questions about it.
wingedknight: I know right! I'm almost tempted to breed and trade myself a lv 5 Rufflet when i get white to replace pidove. Hmmm..
Pidove would've been better if he had a less trollish moveset. Heck, Swellow would've been god if Flame Orb existed in Gen 3, stomping everything with Guts-boosted STAB Facade is not funny.

Truth truth truth. Unfezant's stats, in all honestly, are among the best of any bird bar Braviary and Staraptor (and Togekiss if you wanna be picky). He just doesn't get a solid Flying move like Drill Peck or Brave Bird. Still, with Work Up, Return, Roost, Fly/Aerial Ace, Quick Attack etc. He isn't bad ingame. Its just that Archeops, Sigilyph, and Braviary are potentially more appealing overall.
Does unfezant not learn acrobatics? Because that's like the best flying move ever(if ur not holding anything of course).
nope it doesn't, they hated this bird for sure.
Wow...just wow....first flareon, then luvdisc, and then like 90% of gen 4 and now ugh...I don't like going to bed disappointed.
Cool design, decent stats, lolnomoves. Not a fun curse to have.

I quite like the look of it, though. It's kind of disappointing, looking at its movepool. At least it gets Fly, which isn't so bad in-game...
I found Work Up made Air Cutter at least useful until I got Fly, which as you said is pretty good for ingame purposes. Plus Super Luck crits helped a lot. Pidove's early availability helps him, its just that there are so many other Flying-types in Unova. All-in-all though, he's perfectly viable ingame. He doesn't have the drawbacks of a lousy ability like Archen or late availability like Rufflet. His biggest competition for ingame flyer comes from Sigilyph and maybe Ducklett, but I just prefer him to those two.

I decided to evolve Snivy right before de pokemon league if I remember correctly. I have some sort of Snivy fetish.
anyway, going through the game was horribly hard but fun, considering I used 2 NFEs and Chandelure/Eelektross are a pain to level up at first. Overall, this was hands down the best runs I've done so far. <3

On a more serious note, why is Hitomoshi bad to level? getting an extra 12 levels doesn't seem too terrible...
Since I played in spring, the route outside the Tower of Heaven is raining. Most pokemon there are either normal or grass, and my only offensive moves were Evil Eye and Flame Burst, so yeah. Eventually I just decided to level up in the tower and Furoo's/Skyla's gym, as WoW+Evil Eye is a clean ohko on all Swoobats.
I suggest a ghost type to finish off the use of elite four types in the latter two.
Yamask/Cofagrigus (sp?) I guess?

I was thinking a ghost. Something more offensive though. I should use Golurk! Yeah, get a Ground type too. That'd be sweet.
Alright, team settled! Golurk can even learn Fly LAMO! It's perfect, in case Sigilyph didn't. Although that might let me use Reuniclus instead...
