It really does. I went and caught a Flame Body Litwick and then spent ages cycling up and down Skyarrow Bridge before it finally hatched.

In-game, those misses are so disgustingly annoying that I opted for Thunderbolt instead. You can get that TM even earlier then Thunder if you wish.

Question 1 is, does your spider have Compound Eyes? Thunder shouldn't be missing with Compound Eyes giving 30% more acc right? Unless I'm misreading how it's applied (yes I never bothered shelling out 70k for Thunder, electroweb + agility + electro ball has worked for me lol).

Question 2, where do you get T-Bolt TM? I haven't seen it at all in my play through and I'm pretty sure I explored just about everything fairly thoroughly.

70% accurate move with a 30% boost would have 70 * 1.3 = 91% accuracy.

CompoundEyes doesn't work that way, sadly. It's 30% of Thunder's original accuracy added on, not a full 30% accuracy added on.

I think you get the Thunderbolt TM from the P2 Laboratory, which can be accessed via Route 17. You need Surf to get there, it's East of the starting town.
 
Also a Hidden Power teller in Icirrus.

Does anyone know where I can buy Repeat Balls?

And use Flying Gem Archeops in Battle Subway and you only really have two Pokémon to fight, unless the first one has a Quick Claw

What are good two other party members for Archeops here?

Figures, why can't they use simple dumb (and wrong I suppose) math for Pokemon...oh well.

Thanks for the location of Thunderbolt, I thought the whole east side was locked up until after the battle with N/Ghetis, but I guess not. Cool.
 
Hell yeah, just caught myself a pretty rad Volcarona (Nature's mediocre but its IV's are pretty amazing), this one's gonna be great friends with my Ditto.

You do realize that Acrobatics OHKOs literally everything? It takes 3 levels to get Acrobatics and before that it has Pluck. It has reasonable bulk too. Its better than Darmanitans bulk and that can even take a hit occasionally (Sawsbuck is much more frail). My team right now after beating the elite 4.

Gigalith lv. 51
Conkldurr lv. 51
Swoobat lv. 51
Ferrothorn lv. 51
Krookodile lv. 53

First few gyms were a pain in the butt but by the 4th one it started to get relatively easy. My team is awesome. :)
 
Damnit, that means I have to activate the Thundurus event, which means I can't RNG Thundurus =(

EDIT: Nevermind, I can still RNG Thundurus.
 
I apologize if this has been answered before, but I searched for this and couldn't find the answer I was looking for. I may have overlooked it.

I know that in order to actually soft reset for the version Legendary instead of having to capture it immediately, you have to fill all of the boxes in your PC and have a full party. But it's been unclear to me whether you have to simply fill the initial 8 boxes (and not check the PC so that it won't update the storage space), or if you have to fill the full maximum amount of 24 boxes. Which one is it?

If it's the latter, then screw it; I'm not going to bother with that.

24 Boxes, sorry... On the bright side you could get a Shiny Patrat filling the boxes. It happened to me :D

Edit: Cool I Ninja'd Someone >:D Also if going for a good one Fill you boxes and get that Shiny Patrat (Even though both suck)

It's fill all 24. You can still soft reset the first time you encounter it, it's just a little harder to check the IVs and nature.
 
Just beat the game. Wow, awesome plot line.

BTW my team is
Scrafty / Archeops / Samurott / Simisear / Zekrom (all levels above 50).

I guess I have no choice but to save during the Elite Four battle. Which I hate doing because there's a chance that I was underprepared and could get stuck.

It was a... disappointment (doesn't really hit hard), but never want to give it up, not because I like it (I don't), it's just I was lazy to raise another fire type after I had evolved it.
 
Just got out of Twist Mountain...most annoying thing so far, but not as annoying as all previous mountains in previous games!

My team:

Darmanitan LV 40
Swana LV 40
Galvantula LV 40
Krookodile LV 40
Serperior LV 40

I have a habit of trying to make everyone the same level.



But anyway, Serperior literally sucks ass. The only reason I carry him around is cause he's my starter, and I've had my starter with me since Red and Blue

He knows Leech Seed, Leaf Blade, Coil, and Strenght

He simply doesnt hit hard enough to be effective and doesnt take hits well enough to tank.

I'm wondering should I replace him, or just tough it out and continue to waste experience on him, when I could be raising my other, actually useful guys?


If I get a good suggestion on what to replace him with, I'll dump him and begin my grind of the new guy


Oh, and I'd like a recommendation of a 6th guy based on the team I have so far.
 
Just want to point out a funny bug. To the right of the entrance of Route 16 where you can see a cycling lady, hold B and she starts paddling fast. :toast:
 
I don't know if this has been said before, but Lillipup's Pickup is awesome!!!!
I have only beat the first gym and already it has picked up a great ball, a hyper potion and some other stuff
