Laharl wants Suicune for its purity, Lenneth wants Raikou for its raw power. :P

In RP form:

Lenneth and Laharl look at the trophy stand, upon it sits three Poke Balls. While in the background, a large mural painted on a steel sheet reads at the bottom, in various languages, "Top Prize: Your Choice of one of the 3 Legendary Beasts!" The mural itself features the Profiles of the three "Dogs" themselves in various positions. A picture of Raikou with a roaring expression is superimposed over the din of a great Thunder Storm. Entei appears to be howling to the sky as an active volcano erupts it's molten lava. Finally, Suicune seems to be calmly staring into the calmness of a lake with a regal pride, as a waterfall bers down behind it.

"Laharl, look the prizes are... Legendary Pokemon!"

"Yes, the three dogs; or I should say, one of the three dogs."

"The gold one, Raikou it says here, it's just so... powerful looking! Looking at it practically charges me with energy! I've never seen such a strong electric Pokemon! I... must... have it!"

"Cyndi's strong.... And what are you saying? The Water-type Suicune is obviously the best choice for our team. That, and just look at it, its built like a fortress! Its defense must be astronomical."

"It actually has the same defenses as Iseria, so your point is invalid. Raikou's better anyways!"

"Grr, I'm not going to argue about thi-"

"Raikou's better!"

"Lenneth, we shoul-"

"Better!"

Laharl realizes he won't be persuading his sister any time soon and holds his tongue. They both walk back into the arena while the match returns from recess...

Hax is a byotch indeed. But in my battles, hax has pretty much been my byotch x)

@Temperantia wait you're actually two people?! o.O isn't two people battling as one kinda... illegal in tourneys?

Surprisingly, hax wasn't being a..."byotch" to me. Garchomp's Sand Veil didn't activate ONCE.

Ergo it was being a "byotch" to your opponent :D lol

PS: is the word "bitch" banned on these forums? I said byotch because I don't want an infraction...

Edit:
Laharl wants Suicune for its purity, Lenneth wants Raikou for its raw power. :P

Therefore you want Entei. They'll bicker and bicker and they'll have no choice but to compromise on Entei x)

We occasionally drop the F-bomb in Broolucks. It's safe to say that "bitch" isn't banned. (and if it was, we probably would have installed a word filter anyway.)

I'm just using the euphemized version for the heck of it.

I'm not certain yet-I'm considering Suicune (who gets levelup Blizzard and benefits from my Hail build,) but the rumored movepool buffs to Entei look promising...

I'm stuck between Raikou and Entei myself. Suicune's awesome, but two awesome water-types is redundant and I need a fire type or a good electric type on my team (Stunfisk doe snot count). What's the movepool buffs to Entei that are rumored? o.O

I thought I heard Volt Tackle in IRC, but I'm not sure.

On the other hand, yeah, I already have Krillowatt and Sealeo on my team. Raikou also seems nice but I can't be sure about him...

Volt Tackle? That's kind of out there, honestly, when the move has previously been Pikachu-family exclusive since it was introduced, and now that Wild Charge and even Fusion Bolt exist. It'd be awesome though x) BTW what are your doubts regarding Raikou?

Well, I'm getting haxed to the reyscarface in my match. Hypnosis missed three times in a row, and the second tie it hit it was a zero turn sleep. Then jas got a lucky roll on Conversion and now i cant hurt him.

Damn

I voted dogfish to beat me so unfortunately my perfect prediction record will end soon.
That is THE definition of a bragplain, by the way.

There, I've updated the R1 post with links and all the latest results. Sorry I haven't been able to keep up with this as well as I'd like, work swamped me in the past few days. You'll note that the matches that ended with a DQ or forfeit are marked as such. While you get the usual points from these predictions, the DQ predictions will NOT count in the event of a tie to hopefully break said tie. Not sure about forfeits since in 99% of cases the person forfeiting was pretty well guaranteed to lose anyway, but hopefully it won't come to that (feel free to post your thoughts on it though)

EDIT: Just to make this clear, DQs will be counted unless there is a tie, in which case the first tiebreaker will be points not counting DQ predictions, then prediction successes without DQs. So for now, yes DQs are counted.

Thanks for updating all this, Flamestrike.

Currently 5-2 in predictions (soon to be 5-3) if you don't count the DQ... Hopefully I guessed some of the closer matchups correctly.

I...don't remember what I predicted.

Forfeits should totally count as complete losses. If there was a chance the other person would actually win, they wouldn't forfeit.

Unless they're morons.

I am quite satisfied in the fact that my match has the closest votes, 18 against me and 17 for me. I am even more satisfied to say that it is extremely likely that I will disappoint that very slight majority. (:) Yes, that is two infused smiley emoticons.

To be fair, if we remove my vote for myself we have an even prediction (and I, too, enjoy the closeness). And it really is over, and has been since the nastiness of turn 1.

I kind of won our battle just by bringing Magneton, no matter which of your four you brought (Slugma could be handled by Marshtomp, since you got the bad side of the coin flip).

Tourmaline's Technician-boosted Mud Shots and Giga Drains beg to differ, but yes, Magneton really hard-countered what I brought, so it wasn't so much the coin flip in my case as it was the 17% miss chance on Hypnosis into the 50% effectiveness on Thunder Wave. Had I been able to sleep you there, I actually had a plan to chip you down with those reasonably pathetic Psywaves while avoiding taking the ridiculous Thunderbolt damage. After Magneton was down, Roost and Reflect would have given me enough time to throw down a bit of damage before the Hail and Blizzard fury began. Alas, some things aren't meant to be, and I'll just focus on betting from here on in, it appears...

Though, would have been nice to manage a KO...there's always next tournament, and I'll certainly be back with a stronger team.
