Would running Excadrill and Landorus alongside Tyranitar be too much of a Water weakness? I would really like to abuse the Sand with at least two sweepers, but it is a pretty big weakness.

If you ran a Pokemon such as Jellicent/Vaporeon with water absorb or gastrodon with storm drain the team should be fine against water type attacks. Just try to make sure the rest of your team isn't water weak.

My Kyurem has a Timid nature and a 31 IV in everything except Attack. I EV trained it with 252 Special Attack, 252 Speed, and 4 HP. What are the absolute max values it can have for each stat excluding Attack when it reaches level 100?

A Timid Kyurem with 4/252/252 should have 361 HP/nobody cares Atk/185 Defense/359 SpA/185 SpD/317 Speed.

Hmm, it's stats at level 88 are: 346 HP/nobody cares Attack/190 Defense/316 Special Attack/190 Special Defense/279 Speed. I still have 12 levels to go but my Defense and Special Defense are above 185. I just want to make sure I EV trained it correctly which I assume I did but I'm not understanding what the max is for a neutral nature and a 31 IV in everything but Attack. I know Speed should turn out to be 317 because of the beneficial nature and the EV training but the others I'm not sure of.

derp. epic fail. >.> I assumed Kyurem had 0 IVs in Defense and SpD for some reason.

It's supposed to have 216 Defense and Special Defense at LV 100. >_>

Ah, that makes sense now. Also, it has 31 IVs in HP as well, so HP wouldn't be 361 but 392 correct?

So upon reaching level 100 it will be 392 HP/whatever Attack/216 Defense/359 Special Attack/216 Special Defense/317 Speed? I hope that's right.

I was a bit confused by the wording in the article about stat modification in battles.

1) Do stat modifiers clear once the pokemon is switched out?

ex: Gyarados uses Dragon Dance and gets +atk bonus. He switches out and later switches back in. Does he keep the +atk, or is it back to +0?

2) Similarly, do other modifiers such as accuracy/confusion clear once the pokemon switches?

ex2: Gyarados gets hit by Flash and is also confused. If he switches out and returns, is it still affected by -accuracy and confusion?

yeah, sounds more like it.

EDIT: @above:

1. yes. stat modifiers are reset when the Pokemon switches.
2. yes also, since accuracy/evasion modifiers count as stat modifiers and confusion is unique in that it wears off when the mon is withdrawn.

Thanks! Just one more thing. I'm clear on all the rest but how did you get 361 for the HP with 0 IVs in HP? I thought the minimum would be 360 with a neutral nature.

How can I breed stealth rocks to Tyranitar in Black/White? I know it's chain breeding, but what Pokemon do I need to have? I can't find this anywhere.

You need a male parent with stealth rock, like aggron or Tyranitar itself.

But it's impossible in B/W, you need to transfer them from a Gen IV game with the TM stealth rock learned; then breed in B/W.

If you have acess to a Gen IV game, I believe it's more simple to just make a SR Tyranitar there anyways...

Yeah, I have a Gen IV game but I don't have 2 DS's... well, I guess I'll just have to borrow my friend's DS or something... thanks anyways.

If I ask a question on here and didn't get a satisfactory response, can I ask it again, but with a more clearer explaination of what I want?

My original question is now like 10 pages away, and most likely, no one is going to look that far, and the answers I got didn't satisfy me.

GreenWater: Either link it or say it again if it's ten pages back.

43R0D4CTYL: Hm... Have you visited the Riches in Undella Town? Or gone into the Abyssal Ruins and cleaned it out (Making sure to sell the relic items to the guy in the Riches' villa)? Outside of those limited deals I can't even think of any convenient place to earn money outside of Small Court/Big Stadium/E4.

i know you already got a good answer but i would also like to mention storm drain cradily. he gets the special defense boost in sandstorm and he easily takes out a couple pokemon for me.

V.S. Seeker would SO come in handy in this game. Trollfreak has done it again.

how can I make quick money in bw?
If you haven't already done so,
1. Battle the Riches family in Undella Bay each day with an Amulet Coin until you can't anymore
2. Sell rare stuff like balmmushrooms and especially relic items to the three item collectors across Unova (not shops, the collectors are much better)
3. I'm not sure how effective this is, but battling the Royal Unova with an Amulet Coin might yield some cash. And of course, there's the Pokemon League. Amulet Coin is your best friend, hopefully you used it before you completed the game!
4. Some people collect the wings that drop down from bridges and sell them, most go for 1500 each.

I also have a question. I know Smogon is extremely wary of hacking. I traded a legal Onix to my friend, who traded it back to me with a hacked Metal Coat. I proceeded to breed the Steelix with a Vanillite. Are the Onix, the Vanillite which hatched from their egg, and subsequent generations legitimate?

43R0D4CTYL:

Another tip is to go to the grass on Route 9 with a Joltik with Compoundeyes and the move Thief (TM46) as the first Pokemon in your party. At a 20% chance you will encounter Garbodor, which thanks to Compoundeyes will have a 20% chance of holding a Nugget and a 5% chance of holding a Big Nugget.
