Spr_4d_297.png

Hariyama (M) @ Flame Orb
Trait: Guts
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Bullet Punch
- Fake Out
- Earthquake

Ok so Hariyama is my main counter for status enducers namely Venomoth because the double priority hits venomoth for alot of damage and depending on when Hariyama comes in on the Venomoth Tinted lens bug buzz is usually a 2HKO

500.png

Rotom-C @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Leaf Storm
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Im not sure how much explaination is really necesary here but Rotom C really hits alot of pokemon in the RU tier hard with Leaf Storm and can easily revenge kill and take hits pretty decently

065.png

Alakazam (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Focus Blast
- Psyshock

So Alakazam is meant to come in on a wall later (or earlier to try and set up an early sweep) and set up a sub on status moves or hazards (earlier) after 2 CM boosts this alakazam set can one shot most pokes in the RU tier because other than Cressy not many pokes in this tier are crazy specially bulky and even though focus blasts miss chance is high if your behinf a sub it wont matter a whole lot

Spr_4h_207_m.png

Gligar (M) @ Eviolite
Trait: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 240 HP / 252 Def / 16 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Roost
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
Gligar is the main physical wall of this team and with max defense and HP he is pretty much a defensive monster sponging hits that would normally one shot most pokes on my team and he can set up stealth rocks so overall i would say Gligar is the mvp of this team

615.png

Cryogonal @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Toxic
- Ice Beam
- Acid Armor

Cryogonal couples so well with Gligar creating a skarmbliss sorta thing... but not that good anyway Cryo can take almost any special hit in the RU tier but literally no physical hits so we have acid armor to aid with that i know it might seem like something else might be alot better but acid armor can really help this wall excel alongside the ability to rapid spin and having a pretty good speed stat Cryogonal can really wall better than Cressy in my opinion

244.png

Entei @ Choice Band
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Flare Blitz
- Stone Edge
- Fire Blast
- ExtremeSpeed

Entei is mostly on this team because I needed a semi bulky fire type that can hit pretty hard this entei counters yanmega and venomoth (2 very top RU threats) but falls quite easily to porygon z so i kinda need some help on this last set or even a replacement

Thanks for looking a my team and again this is my first RU team that is still a work in progress so any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

This team looks rather solid. Cryogonal's lack of a decent recovery move is bothersome to your defensive core, as residual damage from SR and incoming special attacks will wear that popsicle down fast. A solid replacement would be Clefable. Clefable makes an amazing special wall coupled with the excellent Magic Guard. She is able to pass Wish's to the rest of your team while also possessing the ability to spread status via TWave or Toxic.

Hmmmm.... Your least useful member looks like Alakazam. I can see a trend with your team and it is bulk and offense. Maybe have a little of both? Maybe.....

Body slam can be annoying and with thick fat, you can lure fire and ice types with gligar and Cryogonal. heal bell to take toxic, and milk drink for recovery. Plus the cow is pretty darn fast for a fat cow.

Actually I was thinking about replacing Cryo for clefable the only thing that Id be losing is a reliable spinner but clefable just seems all around more beneficial and Ive never even considered Miltank but ill test around with it because Alakazam is useful but heal bell is pretty awesome at the same time

If you are going to be replacing Cryo, it should definitely be replaced by a spinner. Entei is going to get ripped to shreds if you let stealth rock get set up and you will definitely want Entei later on to clean up. Put miltank and a spinner and you should be ready to go for your team. Over all it's a really nice team. I hope I can battle you on smogon some time.

Thanks for all the feedback and yea i was thinking that I definitly needed a spinner but i wasnt sure of a reliable one in RU and then i thought about sandslash so any feedback on that would pretty awesome

I'd recommend Blastoise as your spinner, it has comparable special bulk, better typing, triple the defense, and better supporting moves like scald, haze etc. The only disadvantage is it's not as fast as Cryo, but then Cryo can't really abuse his speed anyways with that set.

It also has good synergy with the rest of your team, pairing with Entei and Rotom well whilst also forming a nice pair with Gligar.

This is a good team really.
I like just about everything about it; and the core works out pretty well. The only thing that would make this team have even better synergy in my opinion would be to switch Cryogonal with Sharpedo. If you did this, then you'd have an excellent Water/Grass/Fire core; as well as being able to go to a Dark-type Pokemon if opposing Alakazam or any other potent Psychic-types come in when you have Hariyama out (or any mon for that matter).

Standard Sharpedo Set that will fit in nicely with your team.
Sharpedo @ Life Orb | Speed Boost
Adamant | 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Protect / Waterfall / Crunch / Ice Fang

This set ultimately is very basic, so it's quite explanatory; but, I'll explain the basics anyways. :p
Protect is so you can get at least one (ultimately 2-3 though) Speed Boosts up, and then you can plow through teams with his two powerful STAB moves (Waterfall and Crunch), while having excellent coverage with Ice Fang.

Besides that, this is an amazing RU team (I congratulate you on that) and you should have some fun with this team. Just be careful with Rotom-C (you may want to change Thunderbolt with Trick to be safe) reallly.

Otherwise, good luck, and I hope this helped!

Yeah I would second adding Blastoise as a spinner. He has good bulk and has good synergy with the rest of the team. I feel that your team needs a more powerful, and more reliable, set up sweeper than Alakazam. I would suggest Venomoth because it is incredibly hard to stop as I'm sure you already know. This is a set I use.

Venomoth (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Tinted Lens
EVs: 120 HP / 252 SAtk / 136 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Quiver Dance
- Roost
- Sleep Powder
- Bug Buzz

If you go ahead with adding Blastoise and Venomoth I would make another suggestion of swapping Hariyama for Crawdaunt. This allows you to 100% counter CM Cresselia who can set up and destroy your team almost unopposed.

Crawdaunt (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Adaptability
EVs: 24 HP / 236 Atk / 248 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Substitute
- Waterfall
- Crunch

This gives you two powerful boosting sweepers who can turn the tide of battle and you have CB Entei to check enemy boosting sweepers so you should do fine. Have fun in RU!

Are you fucking serious? Have you ever used or faced a SubCM Alakazam before?

Yeah a few times, and I tried using one too. It doesn't force out as many things as Sceptile and it doesn't induce panic in the same way Venomoth does. He lacks super effective coverage with Psychic and Focus Blast or Shadow Ball meaning he fails to get some crucial OHKOs and because of this it's harder for him to get a free Sub or a Calm Mind. I find Calm Mind and Encore work slightly better on Alakazam, guaranteeing at least one Calm Mind and supports the team too. Overall I feel that Alakazam could be replaced on this team as it doesn't bring any useful resists and there are better boosting sweepers out there, and there's nothing better than the evil Venomoth.

-I'd like to point out that Immunity Gligar > Hyper Cutter Gligar, its not there for attacking, its there for walling.
-I've also noticed that a few of your pokes (Alakazam for example) don't have their EV's completely filled out.
-Fire Blast on CB Entei = wut, especially with Adamant
-I agree with the others that Blastoise > Cryogonal, both in typing and effectiveness
-Rotom-C isn't really a giant threat to anything not weak to Electric or Grass...

Good team, but, like a lot of teams on this forum, needs fine-tuning.

Notable threats:
Crawdaunt
Sharpedo

yea although not alot of pokemon in the RU are threatened by rotom he does counter Rhyperior which otherwise i have a big weakness too and ive replaced cryo with blastoise already and i love him he does soooo well and provides a reliable check to Rhyperior who i have trouble with very often i do agree that alakazam doesnt excactly scare pokes out or take any neutral hit at all i would say in his defense alakazam has saved me countless times late game when all of his check are gone but i do like the idea of sharpedo or crawdaunt and entei has hp grass over fire blast now thanks for all of your help and shtuff so im gonna keep working with this team and stuff

oh also i cant have SR or Roost if i have immunity and since there isnt any ss i figured that hyper cutter was my best option

I run the same Alakazam set on my own RU team, though I have a Life Orb on mine instead of Leftovers. Have you considered that option? I can understand that you'd want Alakazam to regain some health slowly, but he's so fragile anyway that a hit outside of a sub (especially a physical hit from something that's got high ATK and is likely scarfed to outspeed him) would annihilate him. At least with Life Orb you give Alakazam some extra power to destroy things, especially on things that he might only be able to 2HKO in his current state despite the monstrous SpATK stat.

thats actually a really good idea that for some reason escaped me lol ill definitly try that out and its cool i kinda figured something like that happened
