Lol agreed. but ferrothorn IS overrated. sure it's good, but there are A LOT BETTER POKES OUT THERE.

This tier is full of powerful yet slow pokemon. Trick Room anyone?

There are around 80 or so pokemon in this tier (counted based on this list which seems to be based around fully evolved pokemon that arent banned from this tier)

So making a tier below NU would just be nothing but Eviolite.

Anyway I bolded all of my favorites, most of which will actually be viable

All of my favorites are basically physical attackers but are rather slow. Judging from just how many I bolded my statement that this tier is going to be Physical tank + Trick Room looks about right.
 
My understanding is that they'll make a ladder for the Pokemon that don't make the NU cut-off, but no testing will be done for the tier. So it'll be unbalanced (a bit like Ubers I guess). Someone had the idea of calling it "Unter".

There are actually 3, that I can find, pokemon in NU that can Baton Pass Shell Smash:

Huntail - 55/104/105/94/75/52
Smeargle - 55/20/35/20/45/75

Huntail seems like a good choice for the job. Basically the same as Gorebyss just more attack.

Masquerain gets Quiver Dance + Baton Bass:
Masquerain - 70/60/62/80/82/60

So that can be used as well but its lacking in the EVERYTHING deparment.

Druddigon is going to be really great here. Perfect coverage in Outrage and EQ with priority in Sucker Punch means that he'll be a sick Choice Bander. He also could make a cool physical tank, with stuff like Taunt, Roar, Dragon Tail, and Rough Skin.

Well not just Druddigon but almost everything in the tier.

NU will be Choice Band paradise. Everyone will run Choice Banders, Physically Defensive walls and tanks and itll just be a big massive physical war.

Itll be fun.
 
Eviolite clamperl can also smashpass

Gardevoir and Rotom-F are probably my favorate pokemon in this tier. Seriously people, Rotom -S is an awesome pokemon. I dont know how rotom-C beat it, other than the trolly levitate flying thing. Absol, as i stated earlier, will be like a NU honchkrow. Its really awesome.

What I really like about NU is that its so diverse, there are still pokemon who are capable of being OU material here.

No, NU will be the final tier (and thus, this Unter idea).

Clamperl doesn't learn Baton Pass so it can't SmashPass, just attempt a Shell Smash sweep with Deepseatooth.

I'd probably use something like Eviolite Wartortle instead of Smeargle or Torkoal.
The 50% from switching into SR and Spikes hurts.
 
Yeah, Smeargle gets Dark Void. D: In 2vs2, it took out my team by putting both to sleep while its partner, Tyranitar, just used rock slide until they were out.

Hopefully, it will be discovered that some of these NU pokes are OU level.

How can we have a new RU if RU didn't exist?

And, if UU bans Shell Smash + BP, it's banned from all teirs below it automatically, just like Vulpix, when it falls to RU, will STILL have Drought banned.

We're not starting NU yet anyway.

Although how Klingklang is RU is beyond me. His power isn't far off Metagross', he's bulky, rather quick, and has Gear Shift...

And Steel/Electric is excellent coverage, missing out only on Electric types... which are mostly handled by Return, except for the Magnemite line and Rotom.

Most matches are played with Sleep Clause, where putting two Pokemon to sleep is illegal. But a number of NU/RU/UU pokes have niche roles or perform well in OU or higher.

With Klingklang, don't forget the ubiquitous Water/Grounds (also, the Electric moves are coming off his weaker stat). Metagross's better Super-Effective coverage lets him beat a much greater variety of Pokemon.

Cryogonal and Kabutops can also spin, with the former being immune to Spikes/Toxic Spikes thanks to levitate (SR is still a pain though).

Definitely looking forward to the dawn of NU, as I'll finally be able to get into battling again.
 
What are some of the best physical/special walls that seem to be NU? Are there any things like Blissey/Chansey for NU?

Maybe something like Eviolite Munchlax or Lickilicky could get used as a wall.

Regigigas? It's got awesome defenses and can stall out Slow Start with Parafusion. It may be shit, but it's at least a good tank.
 
Regigigas is pretty damn annoying. I've gotten trolled by some RU users with it...they had Substitute/Thunder Wave/Focus Punch/something else, and when the slow start was done with they seriously did a number on my team with the subpunching.

People tend to forget that Regigigas has 110/110/110 defenses and only one weakness.
 
No recovery options at all keeps it from being a wall though. Luckily I have never faced a Regigigas, although I did use one in a troll doubles team loaded with Fake Out and Me First users. The results were predictably trollish.

Yeah it probably is come to think of it. Also did I say Me First? I meant Follow Me...

Smash pass to Regigigas? Smeargle BP Aqua Ring and Ingrain and Shell Smash to Regigigas? This is way past the verge of gimmick now I fear.
