My First GBU Singles Team

Alright, if I posted this in the wrong subforum, can a mod please move it? Sorry, I'm new.

Anyways, the idea behind this team is for Accelgor and Aerodactyl to quickly take care of the enemy with their special and physical attacks, respectively. The only weakness they share is Rock, so I threw in Steelix due to both steel and ground beating rock.

Here's the team:

617.png

Name:Accelgor

Ability: Sticky Hold
I don't plan on making a weather team, so hydration is useless.

Nature: Timid or Modest
I need to beat the enemy quickly with a special attack, so SA and Speed is all I need. Physical attacks won't be used.

IVs: I'll try to get 31s in Speed and SA.

EVs: 252 SA/ 252 Speed/ 4 Health
Health is just thrown in there because I have nothing better to do with the remainder.

Moves:
Bug Buzz
After STAB, it's 135.

Hyper Beam
150 is a slight improvement over 135, but if BB takes out *almost* half of the enemy's health, I can finish them with this.

U-Turn
A *must* considering the fact that Accel's going to be in my first position.

Me First
For lack of a better fourth move. I'm probably going to replace this after you guys rip this post apart :p

142.png

Name: Aerodactyl

Ability: Pressure
Take down only has 90 power, which even wing attack could do thanks to STAB. There's no other moves for rock head to affect, so it's useless.

Nature: Adamant or Jolly
More or less a flipside of Accelgor's nature.

IVs: I'll try to get 31s in Attack and Speed.

EVs: 252 Attack/ 252 Speed/ 4 Health
Health is just thrown in there because I have nothing better to do with the remainder.

Moves:
Wing Attack
Primary Flying move.

Ancient Power
Primary Rock move.

Stone Edge
For if I need a little extra "oomph" in my attack, but am willing to sacrifice accuracy.

Giga Impact
For if SE isn't very effective, or if I need to finish them off.

208.png

Name: Steelix
To counter rock types.

Ability: Sturdy
He's my defensive alternative, I can't have him being instantly killed.

Nature: Sassy
His speed's already awful, so I won't bother raising it; instead, I'll use it as a way of fixing his low SD.

IVs: I'll try to get 31s in Health (yeah, I know) and SD.

EVs: 252 SD/ 252 Health/ 4 Defense

Moves:

Iron Tail
Primary Steel attack.

Earthquake
Primary Ground attack.

Hyper Beam
For finishing them.

Roar
Try telling me with a straight face that you *wouldn't* swap out your rock type after seeing a Steelix.

Hyper Beam should almost never be used, unless you're left in easily KO-able range. Accelgor is also incredibly frail, so I would suggest using a focus sash.Me First, unfortunately, is pretty worthless on accelgor. and this is from experience, because Accelgor will almost always be hit with Physical attacks, and Me first won't likely do any damage considering it's below-average attack, no investment and a negative nature.I would suggest either Encore or Hidden Power in its place, which brings me to my next point, that you have rather bad coverage.Bug is resisted by a lot of stuff, and you don't want to rely on Hyper Beam to cause neutral damage.

First off, Wing Attack and Ancientpower should be replaced. by almost anything. While i don't know if this moveset is possible, I would suggest Life Orb/Choice Band, and putting an elemental fang and earthquake in there place.Stone edge is fine there, but Giga Impact, like hyper beam, forces you to recharge a turn, which gives your opponent time to either set up, or switch in a counter, either of which could cost you the game.while it can be used as a last resort move, it often isn't worth wasting a moveslot

This Moveset needs major revamping. First off Steelix has below average attack as well, so shouldn't be an attacking pokemon.Steelix also is weak to ground moves, ie.earthquake, which most, if not all rock types carry, so You won't be seeing a whole lot of rock types switching. You could put an air baloon on there, for randomness, and surprising players who don't pay attention, but Leftovers would be preferred, as well as getting rid of Iron Tail and Hyper Beam(REALLY? HYPER BEAM? AT LEAST GIGA IMPACT COME ON!)Unfortunately, I can't give you a good moveset, as I've never used steelix, but maybe EQ/Roar/Protect/Swagger, as well as putting your Sp.Defense or HP EVs into Defense. Honestly, that set may not work out, but the point of it is to swagger an opponent, so they attack you with an attack Steelix will simply be able to protect, or hurt themselves in confusion.

Maybe you could even just get rid of steelix altogether.
