Ah, no unfortunately it seems like I missed that option.
Copy the seed, select Method 5 PIDRNG in the main window. Stationery legends as encounter type. Paste the seed. Select any nature as Synch frame. Generate. Scroll to that frame. See if it's bolded.

I am in Pinwheel forest, where the NPCs forced the frame to be at 65. Then for some reason I am using the doubles encounter slots. I am getting to frame 103 and then sweet scent. Frame 103 has all male encounters, but I am getting all females.
Also one more question, do waterfalls increase the PID frame?

Didn't I already tell you that if you're getting the right IVs but wrong PID info you simply figure out what PID frame you're hitting and adjust accordingly?
The female Pokemon you got must match one of the frames so find the matching frame and adjust so that you hit the right frame.
No, waterfalls don't affect anything.

I'm using non C-Gear seed (emulator) for eggs. Looking at this formula, if my target is on frame 8, initial (for eggs) is 8, and starting is 1, i have to do 8 - 8 - 1 + 1 (= 0) advancements?

But when I enter the game I go straight to the menu for sweet scent to see if the frames are consistent. And for some reason I always get different frames. Am I not getting into the menu fast enough?
Also the only reason why I am asking about waterfalls is that I am in Lostlorn Forest. In Lostlorn Forest the frame seems to move with me not doing anything (Do accidentally pressing buttons increase frame?) and there isn't any NPCs except the one in the trailer that doesn't move.

Choose method 5 (standard seed) in the main window, write down the frame 8 IVs. Then choose breeding BW, generate the PID frames and you can right click and choose to display parents in search. Enter the parents' IVs and the IVs from RNG (frame 8 IVs) and then it should display the characteristic for each frame so just find a frame with the characteristic you want.
There are no WNPCs in Lostlorn forest so you're just missing your seed (timer0, messing up the keypress or just plain bad timing). Check the IVs to make sure you're actually hitting your seed.
Also your IV frame is 1, right? If you're walking (IV frame higher than 1) that could be what's throwing you off. If you're walking to advance the IV frame you must do the exact same number of steps/turns each time.
Hi thanks for the reply. I tried this. I only know the IVs that are 31 in the frame 8 seed because I used the shiny egg calculator to find flawless spreads and not the capture tab search. So I followed what you did and it gave me ?? marks in the sp atk and speed stats. does that mean the characteristic is going to be mischeivious or something?

You're using breeding BW (or international)? You right click and choose display parents in search? You're filling all the IV boxes? If you don't know one of the parents' IV just set it as 0 or 1.
I'm using breeding BW. Yeap and after I do all of that, the PID frame just goes from showing Ma or Fe into showing IVs instead. (which is all 31). Nothing else changes.

Don't know why you're having trouble getting it to work but here's video.
Check the first post for the basic guide. I don't know anything about PPRNG, but I know the PC equivalent is superb, so speaking only from personal experience I'd suggest using a PC if possible. You do have a DS Phat / Lite, right?
The characteristics are based entirely upon IV's. Figure out what IV's cause that characteristic to appear and then search for those IV's. Check the Bulbapedia page for more info.
Usually an RNG'd pokemon will have more than one IV tying for maximum. In that case the characteristic is determined by an interaction between the PID and the IVs. Once you know which IVs are maxed, using the %6 method (explained early in this thread,) enables you to work out what the characteristic will be.

RNG reporter 9.81 Beta and I am trying to find my parameter after watching bearsfan092drums's video.
I tried searching for a seed but not results even though i manage to hit the time properly and got the same pokemon with same IV and nature.
I entered those IVs into the parameter search but i cant get anything.
What can be the problem?=( Please help. Thank you!

What level pokemon are you catching?
Are you entering the max and min IVs from where it says "spread" on the IV calculator?
yea i did. i used serebii's iv calculator. i am at victory road. catching durant to find my parameter. if my time is 22.00.30 then in the RNG i should put the same right?
is there any possibility that the DS lite i am using cant work? and before this i was playing this pokemon game with DSi. will it affect it?
