Ground, Rock, Ice is all the coverage Landorus needs imo (especially in sand). You don't even need HP ice if your team has Gliscor covered.

This. You might as well use a Sub+3 attacks. Another thing you could consider is Smack Down. Allows you to dispatch troublesome pokemon like Skarmory and Bronzong.

I wouldn't use Life Orb U-turn on Landorus. Compromising his immunity to sandstorm by wielding Life Orb while not really getting past or hurting any of its counters is pointless.

Idk, I stray away from pointless U-Turns, like against Skarm. Being able to take out Celebi being able to hit stuff as I switch out is very useful. I know it doesn't sound good in theory, but it practice, it's not bad at all.

Landorus has Base 125 Attack, and U-Turn is a modest but useful Base 70. Life Orb U-Turn sounds kinda good in theory.

In this case, I wouldn't call myself a dick, but rather uninformed.

Ah well, there goes the perfect Timid Raikou I've been using, unless I settle for Weather Ball (any nature, right??) or Shadow Ball ;[ (either way cock-blocked by Ferrothorn and Ttar). There also goes my future plans of using Eruption Heatran in the sun :Z

Movie Raikou was Rash, ExtremeSpeed / Weather Ball / Zap Cannon / Aura Sphere, shiny. The funny part is that Raikou was Rash only because DPPt shiny Wondercards had to have a fixed nature; this doesn't happen in BW anymore. If only they waited a couple months to distribute it...

The smogon server also doesn't allow you to use analytic starmie on the wifi ladder. Analytic starmie is released, however.

Payback doesn't work on switch-ins anymore, so I doubt Analytic does.

...I mean, you weren't planning on making Starmie slow, were you ?__?

EDIT-- Eh, slowpoke'd.

Analytic only works if the pokemon with the ability goes last (even in doubles and triples). I was planning on testing out a trick room Starmie I saw someone posted a while back where it was a normally fast starmie that would use trick room for the team in a pinch and then power up it's own attacks. That was the idea behind the set and I was getting bored yesterday, so I thought, why not.

Besides, whether or not you'd want to use it is irrelevant. It's released, therefore it should be available in the Wifi tiers. We don't want even MORE people to believe that smogon is actually preventing you from using horrible pokemon, now do we?

Edit @ Pocket: After You Chlorophyll Lilligant with Specs Eruption Heatran in triples. DO IT NOW!

Thank you. It's been good for keeping momentum and denting things at the same time. I have yet to find anything more useful so far. In my experience, I never have the time to set up, and would rather hit something hard.

Man, what is it with all the scouts at the moment. Landorus, Hydreigon, Rotom-W, and Scizor are annoying separately, and I'm seeing them together all over the ladder -.- I also noticed that most non-weather teams have to resort to the same cores if they want to be able to take on weather teams. It is either Dragon+Water or FWG core. Espeon is also increasingly common. The ladder metagame is mostly focused on abusing specifics in my opinion i.e BP Gorebyss/Espeon, scout teams, HO teams, and then your standard weather teams. After laddering so much, I want to say that this is a very annoying tier. If something changes after this round, I hope its for the better.

EDIT: GG

That's basically my old team minus OTR Reuniclus. Have you seen any? IMO it needs more use since it wrecks weather and only has like 4 safe switchins capable of threatening it.

If you're having issues with switching cores I've found sub bounce gyarados is pretty good at taking them out. I think it was BIHI who used it, but I got it from razza. Basically it punishes rotom for ditching thunderbolt. >:D.

Sub Bounce Gyara is pretty common now; idk who made it first. Anyway, I use it too and it's extremely effective, especially in rain. With Moxie, that thing is ridiculous; Sub against Rotom-W, KO the switch in next turn and get +1 with Moxie; rinse and repeat until you can decimate Rotom-W with Waterfall and sweep the whole team. It's annoying though when you think you've won, and then Rotom-W pulls out a random Thunder >_<

I'm pretty sure you can get banned if your opponent reports it to the mods.

Anyways, it's like level 1 donphan; illegal, but people still use it.

I think Donphan level 1 may be legal due Pomeg Glitch, but pokemon obtained only by with Pomeg Glitch should be illegal if there is no other way to get them.

Anyone who only runs Volt Switch on their rotom is a scrub.

And we have to consider the fact that Switcher teams fall pretty easily in practice, especially when Entry hazards is just one of their many problems.

Running only Volt Switch is extremely common nowadays. It's more useful overall, as you get switch advantage when the opponent brings in something like a Celebi / Latias to take on Rotom-W. It becomes very difficult to play against if your opponent has something like a CB Tyranitar to KO these switch-ins especially. Vaporeon isn't that common, so it's basically just Tentacruel and Jellicent; Tentacruel has no recovery and Jellicent can just be destroyed by CB Tyranitar if it runs enough speed.
