Quagsire and Gastrodon can deal with Grass Knotless Thundurus, the most common set. Lanturn also gets props for wrecking every Thundurus set (way to fucking light for GK), at the expense of being completely useless otherwise.

If they do have GK, then whatever counters it depends on its final move. Ferrothorn, Blissey, Chansey, Tyranitar, Magnezone and probably even Excadrill can scare off Focus Blastless Thundurus, while Dragons are a pain for HP Iceless Thundurus.

Scarf Latis also get Props for not fearing +0 HP Ice and OHKOing in return.

How much does an unboosted Gastrodon's Ice Beam do to Thundurus? How much does a +2 Thundurus' Focus Blast do to a max hp/max special defense Gastrodon?

gastrodon's ice beam vs thundurus 154 - 182 (51.51% - 60.87%)

thundurus's +2 life orb focus blast vs max/max gastrodon
270 - 318 (63.38% - 74.65%)

gastrodon can check it as long as it hasn't used nasty plot before sending it in. if you switch in on nasty plot thundurus will be left at 5% health

I've seen mention of Sub/Gyarados in different threads, but I can't find an actual full moveset/EV spread/nature for it.

Anybody mind letting me know what Sub/Gyarados is running?

Something like:

Gyarados@Leftovers
EVs: 4 HP l 252 Atk l 252 Spd
Nature: Adamant
-Subsitute
-Bounce/Earthquake
-Waterfall
-Dragon Dance

how does wish work in double and triple battle?
Wish affects the area of the user; ergo, the user heals itself or the the one who will be switched in place of him.

Don't know if you are looking for a sub-shuffler of a sub-booster.

Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 28 HP / 252 Atk / 52 Def / 176 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Bounce/Stone Edge

The speed is necessary to outspeed Starmie, who is so far the fastest check. With Bounce can cover Ferrothorn easily, while Stone Edge with you something effective for other Gryrados' and dragon.
Tactics are easy: switch in a physical threat and Dragon Dance when your opponent is using a rain team (maybe you are using one yourself anyway); in the case you haven't took out Thundurus yet, who can cripple you with Thunder Wave, first sub. Besides, sub allows you to set up on Ferrothorn (if you have the Bounce-version).
If your opponent has sand and Excadrill (or scarfed Landorus, who became quite popular), first sub. To oustspeed all threats, you need at least two DDs, what rarely happens.

Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 216 HP / 252 Def / 40 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Dragon Tail
- Waterfall
- Thunder Wave/Taunt

I am a bit pendant between Thunder Wave and Taunt (Taunt keeps SkarmBliss from healing).
Fairly straightforward: Switch in a physical threat, Dragon Tail, if you like the result, Dragon Tail again. I see Sub Shuffler from time to time. It wound appear a bit redundant using sub if there weren't any Ferrothorn, so the set competetes with the RestShuffle-set.
You obviously need a lot of entry hazards and some wish support.

Edit: By the time I got ninja'd twice, doh.
