Hey Smogon! This is my first warstory here. This is a Standard OU match on the Smogon University Pokemon Online server. I'd like to be able to improve on warstories, so any critiques/comments on this warstory are welcome!

My thoughts before the battle:
From team preview, I saw that I would be going up against a stall team. This would be fun; more stuff for Sableye to Taunt and more items for it to knock off! Sweeping heaven for Zoroark and Salamence as well. Now, the first thing I want to do to severely cripple this guy's team is knock off that Chansey's Eviolite...
Now let's get to the battle!
Battle between [Test] LucaroarkZ and Dragone started!
Tier: Standard OU
Mode: Singles
Rule: Unrated
Rule: Sleep Clause
Rule: Species Clause
Rule: Wifi Battle
Your team: Deoxys-S / Salamence / Zoroark / Sableye / Rotom-W / Scizor
Opponent's team: Hippowdon / Gliscor / Chansey / Skarmory / Ferrothorn / Gastrodon
Dragone sent out Hippowdon!
[Test] LucaroarkZ sent out Deoxys-S!
Deoxys-S is exerting its Pressure!
The foe's Hippowdon's Sand Stream whipped up a sandstorm!
(100%->93%) vs. (100%)
Score: 6-6
Start of turn 1
Deoxys-S used Taunt!
The foe's Hippowdon fell for the taunt!
The foe's Hippowdon can't use Stealth Rock after the taunt!
The sandstorm rages!
Deoxys-S is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The first thing I wanted to do here was taunt. I wanted to delay the inevitable rocks so I can switch out with more freedom, which is especially important for Salamence, who is weak to SR. So he does in fact go for the Stealth Rock, which is good for me. Sandstorm damage breaks my sash, but I have far more important things to worry about.
(93%->87%) vs. (100%)
--> (100%)
Start of turn 2
Dragone called Hippowdon back!
Dragone sent out Ferrothorn!
Deoxys-S used Stealth Rock!
Pointed stones float in the air around Dragone's team!
The sandstorm rages!
Deoxys-S is buffeted by the sandstorm!
He goes into his Ferrothorn as I get up my Stealth Rocks. I don't know what his Ferrothorn is going to do the next turn; Spikes? Leech Seed? Gyro Ball? We'll find out.
(87%->18%) vs. (100%)
Start of turn 3
Deoxys-S used Taunt!
The foe's Ferrothorn fell for the taunt!
The foe's Ferrothorn used Power Whip!
Deoxys-S lost 154 HP! (63% of its health)
The sandstorm rages!
Deoxys-S is buffeted by the sandstorm!
So I go for the Taunt, expecting him to try to go for some Spikes. He predicts my Taunt and goes for the Power Whip, so that's a good play on his part. Luckily the Power Whip doesn't OHKO so I can get up a layer of Spikes.
(100%) <--(18%->FNT) vs. (100%)
Score: 5-6
Start of turn 4
Deoxys-S used Spikes!
Spikes were scattered all around the feet of Dragone's team!
The foe's Ferrothorn used Power Whip!
Deoxys-S lost 43 HP! (17% of its health)
Deoxys-S fainted!
The sandstorm rages!
[Test] LucaroarkZ sent out Sableye!
So I get up my layer of Spikes as his Power Whip KOs Deoxys-S. I'm not too concerned, as Deoxys-S has done a great job at setting up hazards and he doesn't have a Rapid Spinner.
(100%) vs. (100%)-->(100%->93%)
Start of turn 5
Dragone called Ferrothorn back!
Dragone sent out Skarmory!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Skarmory!

The attack of Sableye missed!
The sandstorm rages!
Sableye is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Skarmory restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Sableye restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
So this is where the rage-inducing hax against me start - He switches into Skarmory, he takes SR damage, no biggie - BUT MY WILL-O-WISP MISSES! Jeez, these 75 accuracy moves love missing on me in PO but for whatever reason I have pretty good luck with them in-game. It's really strange.
(100%) vs. (93%->87%/BRN)
Start of turn 6
Sableye used Will-O-Wisp!
The foe's Skarmory was burned!
The foe's Skarmory used Spikes!

Sableye is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Skarmory restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Sableye restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Skarmory is hurt by its burn!
This time the Will-O-Wisp hits, which will cripple his Skarmory quite a bit. He gets up a layer of Spikes, which I'm not too terribly concerned about as my only Pokemon that really care about taking Spikes damage are Zoroark and Scizor.
(100%) vs. (87%/BRN->80%/BRN)
Start of turn 7
Sableye used Taunt!
The foe's Skarmory fell for the taunt!
The foe's Skarmory can't use Spikes after the taunt!

Sableye is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Skarmory restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Sableye restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Skarmory is hurt by its burn!
I don't want Zoroark and Scizor taking too much Spikes damage though. That's bad. I go for the Taunt so he can't get up any more Spikes. I thought that even though he's already succeeded in getting up one layer of Spikes, that if I can Taunt him, it'll work out in the long run so Zoroark and Scizor will be able to come in a little more.
(100%) vs. (80%/BRN)

Sableye knocked off the foe's Gastrodon's Leftovers!
The sandstorm rages!
Sableye is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Sableye restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
I try to knock off his Skarmory's Leftovers so it would get crippled even further, but he switches out to Gastrodon. Either way, something's losing its item and I cripple something.
(100%->93%/PSN) vs. (74%->62%/BRN)
Start of turn 9
Sableye used Will-O-Wisp!
The foe's Gastrodon was burned!
The foe's Gastrodon used Toxic!
Sableye was poisoned!
The sandstorm rages!
Sableye is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Sableye restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Sableye is hurt by poison!
The foe's Gastrodon is hurt by its burn!
I really want to cripple this Gastrodon even further, so I go for the Will-O-Wisp on it. He Toxics me, which is really going to cripple my Sableye in the long run; Another good play on his part. He probably realized that the first thing I wanted to do was cripple everything he has, so he decided to jump on that opportunity to cripple one of my Pokemon.
(93%/PSN->81%/PSN) vs. (62%/BRN->49%/BRN)
Start of turn 10
Sableye used Taunt!

The sandstorm rages!
Sableye is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Sableye restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Sableye is hurt by poison!
The foe's Gastrodon is hurt by its burn!
I taunt his Gastrodon, hoping to prevent him from going for something. This works out really well as I prevent him from going for the Recover. In the long run, this will be very bad for his Gastrodon as it will have to either wait to be able to recover or switch out and take SR/Spikes damage the next time it comes in and be at very low health and easily die to something.

I try to bounce on his crippled Gastrodon as an opportunity to possibly grab a Dragon Dance with Salamence. However, he makes a switch to his Hippowdon. This is not a very good situation for me as Hippowdon is one of his many physical walls and Salamence is my physical sweeper.

Scizor is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Hippowdon restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
I switch to Rotom-W thinking of going for the "HYDRO PUMPPPPPPP!!!!1111" but that doesn't work out as he roars me into my Scizor. But it isn't my Scizor. As you can see from lol "Scizor" taking Sandstorm damage, it is Zoroark.

My Salamence is Naughty with 252 Atk/252 Spe EVs, so I know for sure that his health is low enough that an LO Dragon Claw will take Hippowdon down. He goes into Gliscor as Hippowdon goes down, which ends up putting quite a bit of pressure on me since that's another physical wall of his.

He's probably going to switch out to something, possibly Gastrodon, to heal from Wish. Either way, his Gastrodon is burnt and I've knocked off its Lefties so it won't help much in the long run.

Start of turn 5
Dragone called Ferrothorn back!
Dragone sent out Skarmory!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Skarmory!
Sableye used Will-O-Wisp!
Start of turn 6
Sableye used Will-O-Wisp!
The foe's Skarmory was burned!
The foe's Skarmory used Spikes!
Spikes were scattered all around the feet of [Test] LucaroarkZ's team!
The sandstorm rages!
Sableye is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Skarmory restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Sableye restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Start of turn 7
Sableye used Taunt!
The foe's Skarmory fell for the taunt!
The foe's Skarmory can't use Spikes after the taunt!
The sandstorm rages!
Sableye is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Skarmory restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Sableye restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Start of turn 8
Dragone called Skarmory back!
Dragone sent out Gastrodon!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Gastrodon!
The foe's Gastrodon is hurt by spikes!
Sableye used Knock Off!
The foe's Gastrodon lost 6% of its health!
Start of turn 10
Sableye used Taunt!
The foe's Gastrodon fell for the taunt!
The foe's Gastrodon can't use Recover after the taunt!
Start of turn 11
[Test] LucaroarkZ called Sableye back!
[Test] LucaroarkZ sent out Salamence!
Salamence intimidates the foe's Gastrodon!
The foe's Gastrodon's Attack fell!
Dragone called Gastrodon back!
Dragone sent out Hippowdon!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Hippowdon!
The foe's Hippowdon is hurt by spikes!
The sandstorm rages!
Salamence is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Hippowdon restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Start of turn 12
[Test] LucaroarkZ called Salamence back!
[Test] LucaroarkZ sent out Rotom-W!
The foe's Hippowdon used Roar!
Scizor is hurt by spikes!
Scizor was dragged out!
The sandstorm rages!
Start of turn 13
Scizor used Nasty Plot!
Scizor's Sp. Att. sharply rose!
The foe's Hippowdon used Stealth Rock!
Pointed stones float in the air around [Test] LucaroarkZ's team!
The sandstorm rages!
Scizor is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Hippowdon restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
I find this as a great opportunity to set up. He will definitely want his hazards up, but he might Roar predicting me to go for a stat-up move. So this was a pretty risky play on my part, but I try to set up on him anyway.
Start of turn 14
Scizor used Dark Pulse!
The foe's Hippowdon lost 84% of its health!
Scizor is hurt by its Life Orb!
The foe's Hippowdon used Roar!
Pointed stones dug into Salamence!
Salamence was dragged out!
Salamence intimidates the foe's Hippowdon!
The foe's Hippowdon's Attack fell!
The sandstorm rages!
Salamence is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Hippowdon restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
I Dark Pulse him, which does a lot more than I expected. He Roars out my Zoroark, which puts me back into Salamence, forcing Mence to take damage from its worst nightmare: Stealth Rock.
Start of turn 15
Salamence used Dragon Claw!
The foe's Hippowdon lost 21% of its health!
The foe's Hippowdon fainted!
Salamence is hurt by its Life Orb!
The sandstorm rages!
Salamence is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Dragone sent out Gliscor!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Gliscor!
Start of turn 16
[Test] LucaroarkZ called Salamence back!
[Test] LucaroarkZ sent out Rotom-W!
Pointed stones dug into Rotom-W!
The foe's Gliscor used Swords Dance!
The foe's Gliscor's Attack sharply rose!
The sandstorm rages!
Rotom-W is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Rotom-W restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Gliscor's Toxic Orb activated!
The foe's Gliscor was poisoned!
I hope that switching to Rotom-W can force him out with the Hydro Pump. He goes for the Swords Dance. I'm not sure if Rotom-W will outspeed but I think the Hydro Pump is enough to force him out.
Start of turn 17
The foe's Gliscor used Protect!
The foe's Gliscor protected itself!
Rotom-W used Hydro Pump!
The attack of Rotom-W missed!
The sandstorm rages!
Rotom-W is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Rotom-W restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Gliscor restored HP using its Poison Heal!
He Protects to see if I go for the Hydro Pump, which is what I do. At this point I don't know what he's going to do; will he go into Gastrodon or Chansey to take the Hydro Pump? I don't want to take the chances that he goes into Gastrodon, so I don't want to go for the Volt Switch.
Start of turn 18
Dragone called Gliscor back!
Dragone sent out Chansey!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Chansey!
The foe's Chansey is hurt by spikes!
Rotom-W used Hydro Pump!
The foe's Chansey lost 18% of its health!
The sandstorm rages!
Rotom-W is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Chansey is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Rotom-W restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
He switches in Chansey, which goes really well for him. After his Chansey switches in, it takes SR+Spikes damage, 18% from Hydro Pump, and then takes damage from sandstorm! Damn, that's a bad day to be a Chansey right there.
Start of turn 19
Rotom-W used Volt Switch!
The foe's Chansey lost 10% of its health!
[Test] LucaroarkZ called Rotom-W back!
[Test] LucaroarkZ sent out Sableye!

The sandstorm rages!
The foe's Chansey is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Sableye is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Sableye restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Sableye is hurt by poison!
I Volt Switch out to Sableye to get at least a little more damage on that Chansey. Plus, I really want to knock off that Chansey's damn Eviolite so that Zoroark will have an easier time KOing it with a +2 Focus Blast.
Start of turn 20
Sableye used Recover!
Sableye regained health!
The foe's Chansey used Wish!
The sandstorm rages!
The foe's Chansey is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Sableye is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Sableye restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Sableye is hurt by poison!
I go for the Recover to heal off some of the damage Sableye's taken from poison. He goes for the Wish, which tells me "Oh, fuck...". He's probably going to switch out to something, possibly Gastrodon, to heal from Wish. Either way, his Gastrodon is burnt and I've knocked off its Lefties so it won't help much in the long run.
Start of turn 21
Dragone called Chansey back!
Dragone sent out Gastrodon!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Gastrodon!
The foe's Gastrodon is hurt by spikes!
Sableye used Will-O-Wisp!
The foe's Gastrodon is already burnt.

Sableye is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Chansey's wish came true!
Sableye restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Sableye is hurt by poison!
The foe's Gastrodon is hurt by its burn!
I just go for the Will-O-Wisp. It's not like going for Recover will help me; I'm poisoned. Knock Off is my only attacking move, so I won't be able to do any damage to any switch-in.
Start of turn 22
Sableye used Taunt!
The foe's Gastrodon fell for the taunt!
The foe's Gastrodon used Scald!
Sableye lost 90 HP! (29% of its health)
The sandstorm rages!
Sableye is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Sableye restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Sableye is hurt by poison!
The foe's Gastrodon is hurt by its burn!
I use Taunt just to make sure he doesn't go for Recover. He goes for Scald, so Sableye's gonna be taking some damage this turn. Sorry, Sableye. You'll be taking one for the team.
Start of turn 23
Sableye used Recover!
Sableye regained health!
The foe's Gastrodon used Scald!
Sableye lost 88 HP! (28% of its health)
The sandstorm rages!
Sableye is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Sableye restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Sableye is hurt by poison!
The foe's Gastrodon is hurt by its burn!
I use Recover again just to see if I can get up to a decent amount of health after his Scald. This turns out to not be the case. Now I have two options: 1. Switch out and die to SR next turn, or 2. Stay in and Recover again, only to die to poison.
Start of turn 24
[Test] LucaroarkZ called Sableye back!
[Test] LucaroarkZ sent out Scizor!

Scizor was burned!

Scizor is hurt by its burn!
The foe's Gastrodon is hurt by its burn!
The foe's Gastrodon's taunt ended!
I switched out to my Scizor, hoping to avoid some Scald burn-hax. Unfortunately, nooooooo THE SCALD GETS THE FUCKING BURN. Now Scizor has gone from epic Choice Banded scout of terror to useless.
Start of turn 25
Scizor used U-turn!

The foe's Gastrodon used Scald!
It's not very effective...
Salamence lost 59 HP! (17% of its health)
black tea is watching the battle.

[Test] LucaroarkZ sent out Sableye!
Pointed stones dug into Sableye!
Sableye fainted!
[Test] LucaroarkZ sent out Zoroark!
Pointed stones dug into Zoroark!
Zoroark is hurt by spikes!
I U-turned out to Salamence, hoping it would take a Scald better. Unfortunately, the Scald does just enough damage to get Salamence into the range of "Sandstorm will kill it". So I then death fodder Sableye, who is now useless, and then I get Zoroark in.
Start of turn 26
Zoroark used Dark Pulse!
The foe's Gastrodon lost 3% of its health!
The foe's Gastrodon fainted!
Zoroark is hurt by its Life Orb!
The sandstorm rages!
Zoroark is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Dragone sent out Chansey!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Chansey!
The foe's Chansey is hurt by spikes!
I kill off Gastrodon easily with a Dark Pulse, and he brings in his special wall: Chansey. Chansey gets hurt by SR+Spikes even more.
Start of turn 27
Zoroark used Nasty Plot!
Zoroark's Sp. Att. sharply rose!
The foe's Chansey used Softboiled!
The foe's Chansey regained health!
The sandstorm rages!
Zoroark is buffeted by the sandstorm!
The foe's Chansey is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Now here I have to take yet another risk. My health is low enough that a Seismic Toss would kill off Zoroark. However, he might want to go for the Softboiled, probably thinking he wouldn't be able to take a Focus Blast that well. So I decided to go for the Nasty Plot, as I will need that extra power to be able to do any form of damage to Chansey with Focus Blast, even though it is super effective.
Start of turn 28
Zoroark used Focus Blast!
It's super effective!
The foe's Chansey lost 68% of its health!
Zoroark is hurt by its Life Orb!
The foe's Chansey used Seismic Toss!
Zoroark lost 24 HP! (9% of its health)
Zoroark fainted!

[Test] LucaroarkZ sent out Scizor!
Pointed stones dug into Scizor!
Scizor is hurt by spikes!
Thank god the Focus Blast hit! So that Focus Blast actually did more than I expected, I only expected it to do around half. So now his Chansey kills off Zoroark with Seismic Toss as I bring in Scizor. Now, I'm not sure if he will stay in or switch out, but we'll see...
Start of turn 29
The foe's Chansey is being sent back!
Scizor used Pursuit!
The foe's Chansey lost 15% of its health!
Dragone called Chansey back!
Dragone sent out Skarmory!

Scizor is hurt by its burn!
Scizor fainted!
[Test] LucaroarkZ sent out Rotom-W!
Pointed stones dug into Rotom-W!
Yes! He switches out fearing the Superpower, which works out great! I go for the Pursuit predicting the switch. My Scizor went down with a fight. Now I have one guy left: Rotom-W. He technically has three since Chansey will die to hazards next time it comes in: Skarmory, Ferrothorn, and Gliscor. Can Rotom-W pull of a sweep?
Start of turn 30
Dragone called Skarmory back!
Dragone sent out Gliscor!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Gliscor!
Rotom-W used Volt Switch!
It had no effect!
The sandstorm rages!
Rotom-W is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Rotom-W restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
The foe's Gliscor restored HP using its Poison Heal!
Another great play by my opponent - He switches out to Gliscor to nullify my Volt Switch. Now what will he do next? Switch to Skarmory? Ferrothorn? Death fodder Chansey? Let's see...
Start of turn 31
Dragone called Gliscor back!
Dragone sent out Ferrothorn!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Ferrothorn!
The foe's Ferrothorn is hurt by spikes!
Rotom-W used Hydro Pump!
It's not very effective...
A critical hit!
The foe's Ferrothorn lost 43% of its health!
The sandstorm rages!
Rotom-W is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Rotom-W restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
He switches out to Ferrothorn, predicting my Hydro Pump. I get a crit with the Hydro Pump, but I don't think it mattered too much, as there's one move I haven't shown him yet. I have Hidden Power Fire on this Rotom-W, meaning his Ferrothorn would have probably died the next turn anyway.
Start of turn 32
Rotom-W used Hidden Power!
It's super effective!
The foe's Ferrothorn lost 38% of its health!
The foe's Ferrothorn fainted!
The sandstorm rages!
Rotom-W is buffeted by the sandstorm!
Rotom-W restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Dragone sent out Gliscor!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Gliscor!
The surprise HP Fire KOs Ferrothorn, as expected. He brings in his Gliscor, so now it's time to go into rage-mode.
Start of turn 33
Rotom-W used Hydro Pump!
It's super effective!
The foe's Gliscor lost 87% of its health!
The foe's Gliscor fainted!
The sandstorm rages!

Rotom-W restored a little HP using its Leftovers!
Dragone sent out Chansey!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Chansey!
The foe's Chansey fainted!
Dragone sent out Skarmory!
Pointed stones dug into the foe's Skarmory!
So now Gliscor dies to a Hydro Pump, which is what always happens. Now he death fodders his Chansey, and brings out Skarmory. It's a physical wall, I'm a special attacker, and I have two moves super effective against it. I stand a flying chance now.
Start of turn 34
Rotom-W used Hidden Power!
It's super effective!
The foe's Skarmory lost 50% of its health!
The foe's Skarmory fainted!
[Test] LucaroarkZ won the battle!
[Test] LucaroarkZ: gg
Dragone: Good Game
So then I end up KOing his Skarmory with HP Fire. So I managed to go from a point where I was about to lose, and managed to pull through and win. Thanks for being so epic, Rotom-W!
Props
