Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Since PokeRNG Helper only use for English Version, Anybody know "Memory View Address for Current Seed" Pokemon Pearl (J), I want to RNG Abuse my Pokemon Pearl on DesMume

when RNG abusing your ID/SID is there a way to RNG the starters afterwards? There is no phone/no radio so how do we confirm and advance our frame? :p

You can't determine your initial seed until after you've taken the pokemon. As for advancing I don't know how it's done but there is a way.

hmmm yeah I've seen some people with flawless/near flawless shiny starters on smogon here but I don't know how they did it! :p

Starters are really, really, REALLY annoying. Especially if you plan to try on a retail cart. I got super lucky with mine...

You need to find a seed with a Method 1 frame that is really close to your starter's starting frame (Chikorita: 1; Cynda: 5; Toto: 9). Save one step outside of the lab, attempt to hit your seed, once you get into the game go inside the lab right away so that the NPCs don't advance by a lot of frames. You'll need a frame that's only 1 or 2 frames away from your starter's starting frame. A frame that IS your starter's starting frame would make things easier, since then you can just save inside the lab before you pick your starter and you won't need to rely on NPCs. And there's no way to tell what seed/delay you hit until after you pick up the pokemon (You need to verify its IVs to find the seed you hit, so an AR would be helpful).

I'm trying to abuse ID/SID on SoulSilver (R4 ROM). Using RNGReporter with Pandora's Box I picked 27.08.2011 as the date, 21:16:25 as the time and got a delay of 5118. I use EonTimer as it's said to be better than PikaTimer.

I plugged 5118 into "wanted delay" on EonTimer, 25 into both wanted and calibrated second, and left calibrated delay as default. I've never done calibration, as it's useless on two-stage timers from what I've read. But does that mean I shouldn't have changed calibrated second either?

Here EonTimer gives me 2 "minutes before target", so I set my DS clock to 21:14, confirm and start eontimer at the same time. After rebooting I load up my R4 menu and start the game as the first timer hits zero. As the second timer goes off I press A on "I'll see you later!" (This is the part I find easy and logical, but I went through it here anyway to make sure I'm not horribly messing up in the basics.)

After talking with mom I plug my received ID into Pandora's Box, which gives me the delay and second I actually hit. And this is where I'm still stumbling. What should I do with them? ToastPlusOne has stated multiple times in his EonTimer thread that calibrated seconds are outdated and useless, so should I simply ignore them and update the timers with nothing but the delay I hit? My seconds are usually off by 2 or 3, I think it's because the R4 card is loading the ROM for a few seconds when starting it. Or should I adjust the seconds somehow? If so, should I adjust target seconds or calibrated seconds, and by how much?

I'm usually a fast learner, but this whole RNG abuse thing has grown exponentially from my Emerald days and I feel like I can't find the start of the right track. There are just too many new terms, tools and things to learn at once. Any help would be very much appreciated! :)

Huh.. someone read my thread. :)

Anyway, Id/Sid abuse has some oddness that not present with any other kind. Go ahead and manually adjust the seconds after you hit the right delay.

Edit: sorry, I missed a little. You should adjust the target to account for the seconds you're off. Calibrated second is largely meaningless and illogical but adjusting it will throw off your calibration.

does RNGing with an AR on pokemon heartgold affect the outcome? After a fresh TID/SID abuse, my friend is trying to RNG the starter pokemon (totodile) on the abused seed with a M1 frame of 9. Though with an AR, and using the IV to seed function in the RNG reporter, it returns a value that is 8 seconds ahead of his target seconds and about 2000 less delay than the target delay...

Also, is there a easier way to check what seed he landed on without knowing the pokemons IVs? Is there some way to tell with just gender/nature and characteristic? I know this is probably a longshot.

EDIT: Some more info: Here is exactly what he's doing in terms of timers/etc

1. Set the clock on his ds lite and start eontimer at the same time.
2. Turn off game, put in AR, turn on game, wait till AR goes to the "start game" screen and press A when first timer goes to 0
3. Press A when second timer goes to 0 at the in-game continue screen
4. immediately collect the totodile.

For some reason, he's always 8 seconds ahead of target..hmm

^Don't why he's so far off but those are easy things to fix. If he's 8 seconds over his target just make the target second 8 seconds less in Eon/ZomgTimer (or make the calibrated seconds 8 higher). For the delay all he has to do is enter the delay he's hitting and update the timer.

9.31 has issues with 4th gen shiny eggs. Use an older version until the next version is released.

Edit: Yeah I meant 9.81. I confused with 8.31, which I use for 4th gen shiny eggs.

Assuming you meant 9.81...

Interesting, I didn't notice it had been taken down from the download area completely. Is there a flaw in 9.77 that I should know about that caused it to be taken down too?

Nevermind, 9.77 has the exact same issue.

EDIT: Thanks, 9.75 works like a charm!

I know this isn't a post that really helps my cause and it says not too, but I am so lost with RNGing Lugia. O_o like searching min/max frames just the whole nine. The only 4th gen RNGing experience I have is RNGing my ID/SID combo.
