Cacturne@Leftovers
Nature:Rash
Ability:Sand Veil
144 atk, 114 sp.atk, 252 speed (510 EVs)
Moves:
-Sucker Punch
-Energy Ball
-HP(Psychic)
-Brick Break

I like Cacturne a lot and have been trying to make a mixed sweeper out of it. Any ideas on what I should change to make it better? I am trying to make it viable in OU since I really despise using OU pokemon.

When/If a 3rd game is realeased, and new move tutors are about, will Excadrill be back down, for new suspect testing?

Unless tons of physical attackers get Mach Punch, no. I honestly don't see why they would bring him down at all.

I'd honestly ditch HP Psychic and do one of these two things:
1. Make it full-on physical, put the Sp. Atk EVs into Atk, and give it Swords Dance
2. Make it HP Fire so it actually gives it coverage.

Also, I completely forgot how to change what a link looks like i.e. making the link in my sig into a 1.

How long are battle videos kept on the Global Terminal server? I know in Platinum, I've tried to look up videos by their number a few months after posting them, and they were gone.

Assuming this is for ou, sub over hidden power could take advantage of sand veil, and I would recommend drain punch over brick break if you run sub.

I'm kind of curious to know what many of you consider to be a legitimate Pokemon. I understand that a legal one is one that has moves and stats and can be caught in the game or obtained via event. What I think is a legitimate Pokemon is one that was caught or bred in game without the use of AR or any other cheating device. I see that the Wifi forum is filled with cloned Pokemon. If they are cloned then that must or can mean they might have been cloned with an AR or such. If they were made with an AR then they cannot be legitimate because they were, again, not caught or bred in game even if the original was.

Anyways I wanted to know what you guys think and also if Nintendo allows these cloned Pokemon at their tourneys. I have caught and trained all my Pokes but sometimes I do want to have certain event Pokemon that I missed out on. But I don't know if I'd want one that has some of their code tampered with by an AR that is if AR use is traceable.

do you think blastoise would be a cool choice for an OU rain team? I would normally go with tenta, but blastoise can phaze, and tenta's ground weakness would be annoying for the team. So should I use blastoise? would it be viable?

I could actually see Blastoise working somewhat well, especially because it has a lot more Physical Bulk than Tentacruel. You do lose Toxic Spikes when you get rid of Tentacruel, and Toxic Spikes are very powerful tool for a team, as you probably know, but if you could do without them, then Blastoise might not be a bad option. Another thing that makes Tentacruel arguably superior to Blastoise, is that, while it does bear a weakness to Ground, Poison is actually an excellent type defensively, and allows Tentacruel to resist otherwise powerful attacks, such as Scizor's Bug Bite and Infernape's Close Combat. All in all, Blastoise has the potential to be viable, and I'd say it's definitely worth trying out.

Cloned Pokémon are indistinguishable from the original, which is why they are considered legitimate. It's not possible to tell whether a legitimate Pokémon was caught/bred or is a clone of another one. This is because cloning copies the mon exactly, including everything that makes it legal. The AR does not leave any imprint because it's making an exact copy of the legitimate mon and not modifying the end result in any way, kind of like when you copy your video game save to another save slot. It's the exact same thing, just that there are two of them now. Think of cloning as a tool that just cuts out an extra step of having to rebreed/catch/train the exact mon over again.

That said, you are perfectly within your right to consider a cloned Pokémon hacked if you want to. Everybody has different standards on what they consider legal or not. (For example, there are many people who consider RNG manipulation cheating or even hacking.) Just know that you won't be able to check whether a mon is an original or a clone and if that's important to you, you would probably be better off hand catching, breeding, and raising your own mons.

I've got a Xatu, running the following moves:

Reflect
Light Screen
Thunder Wave
Roost

It's supporting a U-turn core of ScarfGon, Banded MixApe and Jirachi. The problem I have is that Xatu seems to be stopping all my momentum. It's great for setting up screens, but then it just sort of...stops. My team rarely stops attacking, and Xatu kind of ruins that.

Would it be wise to replace T-Wave with Toxic? At least that would do some damage.

I guess what I'm asking is are there any better move sets out there for Xatu, which can still maintain some Offense? I'm considering U-Turn and Wish, but I don't know what to remove from Xatu either. Help?

How is it possible to get Shedinja to learn Swords Dance?

Level up Nincada to level 25, and allow it to evolve into both Ninjask and Shedinja. Then, let the Ninjask learn Swords Dance. This method lets Shedinja get the level-up moves from any one level of Ninjask's level-up.

I did. Apparently they removed that mechanic in B/W........YOU GOT ME AGAIN TROLLFREAAAAAK!

They did. I cheated myself a Nincada, got it to lv 25, had an empty space in my party, and had a plain Poke Ball. When I looked at Shedinja, its movepool didn't mirror the Ninjask's.

So yeah, do it in RSE or DPPt, and then Poke Transfer it.

Hey I was just wondering if its possible to breed a Scarfty with drain punch, Dragon Dance, and Ice Punch if so what pokemon

Get a male Smeargle, Sketch Dragon Dance, then learn Sketch again and Sketch Drain Punch, and then learn Sketch Ice Punch. Catch a female Scraggy or use your female Scrafty, and take the Scrafty and Smeargle to the Day Care on Route 3 and breed them. You should have your Scraggy with Dragon Dance, Drain Punch, and Ice Punch.

Alright, I'm trying to make a rain team, but I need some suggestions on something. What are some good OU mons that enjoy being on an electric weak team?

Excadrill (Jolly) @ LO:
Ability: Sand Rush

Swords Dance
Rapid Spin
EQ
Rock Slide

EVs: 4/252/252

According to PO, this isn't valid in standard OU. Does anyone know why?
