Salamence @Choice Band
373.png

Moxie/jolly
4hp/252attack/252speed
-Outrage
-Dragon claw
-Earthquake
-Fire fang/brick break

get rid of 100+ speed pokes, and spam outrage. GG man :D

Ok, i pulled out a set i made back in gen 4, it's not something to write home about in terms of overall usefulness, but it's fun to play:

Persian @ life orb/lum berry
252Att/252Spe
Jolly
Technition (limber works, but it's not as useful)
-Fake Out
-Protect
-U-Turn
-Taunt/Double Edge

play it like a stallbreaker or scout, and just have fun. it might actually suprise you by it not being a complete failure at life.

While teh set seems nice, it is almost entirely outclassed by Mienshao. He can do Fake-Turn but with awesome two move coverage, rediculously powerful HJK and most importantly, REGENERATE!

I can see this becoming one of Mence's best sets, similar to Band Haxorus. Higher Speed, greater power and bulk, and Fire-type moves instead of Mold Breaker. Hell, this could overtake Haxorus and become the premier Outrage spammer. After a single kill, it reaches 829 Attack. Ouch!

Bagon gets Outrage or Dragon Dance as a special move in dw soo..

Outrage + Moxie = legal
DD + Moxie = legal
DD + Outrage + Moxie = ilegal

The best duel Screener for HO teams (apart from Deoxys-s so use it in UU) imo.

Serperior @ Light Clay
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 Hp / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Nature: Jolly
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Leech Seed
- Dragon Tail

Sets up screens extremely fast and has the defenses to easily set up both. Leech Seed allows it to heal the other Pokemon in your team while they are setting up and taking minimal damage thanks to the duel screens. Dragon Tail allows it to phaze out set up sweepers as well as dealing damage.

What usually makes a Dual Screener great is also the ability to lay down Rocks, because a HO team wants their Dual Screener/Rock Layer, and then five sweepers. With Serperior, you either have to have two sets for support or just no rocks, and neither of those are optimal scenarios.

Serperior can Taunt and screen, which is what Deoxys does. However, Deoxys can have more offensive presence with a more powerful STAB and Stealth Rocks/Spikes to boot. The one thing Serperior has over Deoxys is its bulk, Serperior can hopefully come in multiple times to set up screens, unlike a suicide screens Deoxys.

I know that Deoxys is better if you read my post this Serperior is for the UU tier.

Idk if this has been said yet but

Drifblim @ Ghost Gem
Ability: Unburden
EVs: 84 Def / 252 SpA / 164 Spe
Nature: Timid
- Calm Mind
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt / Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Hidden Power[Ice] / Pain Split

This is an amazing set you Calm Mind Up to a safe level then use Shadow Ball to double your speed and use your coverage moves to sweep. 164 EVs allow you to outspeed Choice Scarf Terrakion the biggest threat to your sweep. Thunder Bolt and Hp Ice are for coverage but you could use Pain Split over Hp Ice if you want some recovery if you use Pain Split Hidden Power Fighting can be used to gain perfect coverage.

Gallade @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EV's: 252 Atk/232 Atk/24 Hp
Nature: Adamant
-Encore
-Swords Dance
-Drain Punch/Close Combat
-Shadow Sneak/Psycho Cut/Leaf Blade/Night Slash/Ice Punch/Stone Edge

First of all, if the EV's are correct this should put you at 254 speed. This allows you to outspeed non +speed natured heatran (assuming his speed is maxed out). The remaining 24 EV's can be put into hp or one of his defenses to make him a little bit bulkier. The strategy behind this set is simple. Come in on something trying to set up (such as bronzong) and encore them. Physical walls like skarmory will no longer be able to come in and start setting up on you. On the turn they switch, swords dance up. Drain punch is chosen over close combat to help gallade recover any damage he takes, but if you want more power close combat is certainly an option. The last move you choose depends on what your team needs help with. If ghost types are giving you problems, you can use shadow sneak (or night slash for a little bit of extra damage). Leaf blade lets you deal with bulky water more easily, stone edge helps with gyarados and zapdos, and ice punch deals with the dragons.

Just realized that drain punch and ice punch are illegal with justified...

Nice moveset, although you did make some typos on the ev spread. nothing else to comment except that skarmory will still beat you because of the pitiful defense stat. however, all other walls better watch out.

Random set I thought of for a rain team, but I'm a beginner with pokemon battling, so it may not be viable and the EVs and stuff probably won't be "optimal".

Whiscash @ leftovers
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Def, 4 SpD
Nature: Bold
-Rest
-Toxic
-Whirlpool
-Tickle

So it does the hydration+rest combo to keep it healthy, while stalling people out with toxic. You could also tickle your opponent, then trap them with whirlpool, then send out another team member that has strong physical power or if you didn't trap the opponent, use someone with pursuit.

Although I'm not very experienced, I still want to know what you guys think about this (hopefully) original moveset.

Yeah, I just noticed I put Atk twice by mistake xD. Thanks for your feedback.

@ Xephyr: Doom Desire Jirachi is amazing on sun teams. It's allows you fire off a sun boosted Fire attack without having to worry about Tyranitar switching in (unless he want to take a Doom Desire :/).

490.png

Heatran (M) @ Air Balloon
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 116 HP / 252 SpA / 140 Spe
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Sunny Day
- Fire Blast
- Earth power
- SolarBeam

So this is a set I made for sun teams. Similar to Sunny Day Ninetales in a lot of ways, but it does a few things better. Heatran lures in Tyranitar / Politoed like Ninetales does, but it has a much higher special attack then Ninetales meaning it can OHKO Politoed / Tyranitar with the appropriate attack. Heatran is also much bulkier so it can take hits better if Tyranitar is Scarfed. Speed EVs allow Heatran to out-speed Timid Politoed (and Gliscor I guess). You could put some of the special attack EVs into bulk since sun will be boosting Heatran's Fire stab.

Great set! It's rather similar to me Dewgong set below. Just a suggestion, but i would prefer more Ev's in Spdef since you're using tickle to lower their attack. My toxic stall set is this:
Dewgong @ Leftovers
Ability: Hydration
Nature: Bold
Ev's: 252 HP 156 Def 100 Spdef
-Toxic
-Stockpile
-Rest
-Surf

People see dewgong and think 'lol, dewgong' and normally stay in as they are not threatened by it. Stockpile, rest, toxic, stall. I've 6-0 3 people with this set and i've only been using it for 6 days!

I'm not sure if this set has been mentioned or not (not checking through 80 pages to see) but what about this?

Regirock Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
Evs: 208 Hp/40 Atk/44 Def/216 SDef
Nature: Careful

-Curse
-Drain Punch
-Stone Edge
-Ice Punch/Rest

Incredibly sturdy, especially in Sandstorm after Curse. Drain Punch allows for a method of healing off damage as well as punishing pokemon weak to fighting like Terakion after Curse, Stone Edge gains attack bonus, and Ice Punch hits a number of 4X weak pokemon. Short of extremely strong moves (Rotom W's Hydro Pump), almost nothing can 2 hit ko this. Note that Regirock can only survive being not almost one hit koed by Terakion's Close Combats with a Curse up but Terakion that switch in afterwards are doomed (unless they use a rare Sacred Sword ignoring Curse defensive boosts) because after Close Combat defense lowering and Curse raising, Drain Punch knocks them out and restores a whole bunch of health at once. Status will be annoying but could be cleared with Rest if one chooses to use it.

Wish Support from Blissey (especially if you're lucky and nail Terakion coming in on Curse and eliminating it with Curse Drain Punch) is suggested, especially to absorb the powerful special attacks coming from Rotom-W and Latios which Blissey just laughs at (although Life Orb Latios can be defeated with +1 Ice Punch with Stealth Rock and Sandstorm Support).

That's not true at all. If used with sandstorm support careful max SpD Rhyperior reaches a solid 343 stat that coupled with its high HP and solid rock makes it able to take many special hits and even some SE ones. I remember when, back in 4th gen, I used it to counter mixmence with excellent results. The lack of stab on that set hurts though.

I guess you could run it with earthquake instead of dragon tail/Elemental punches on Sandstorm teams for offense. I'm just a big ferrothorn hater and I have to have something to counter it Lol :P

This is a pretty good Whimsicott Set

Whimsicott @ Leftovers
Nature: Jolly/Timid
Ability: Prankster
252 Spe/ 252 Def

Substitute
Leech Seed
Protect
Endeavor

This set plays like a typical whimsicott set, with a catch. This set allows you to use whimsicotts awesome ability and low hp to take out some pokemon with relative ease. You basically run down your own hp with substitute, and your opponents HP with leech seed, and then you Endeavor them and have Leech seed finish them off.

I saw somebody post this a while back and have been using it since. It really is a cool set, I use Rest over Ice Punch.
