Trouble making a team

Please rate my VGC team, I am not very good strategically making teams so any criticism, good or bad, is great! I made it to Round 4/5 of 2011 Regionals and lost to a OHKO team.
Ludicolo @ Leftovers
Nature: Modest (+SpAtk, -Atk)
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 4 HP, 252 SpAtk, 252 Spd
Moveset:
Hydro Pump
Giga Drain
Ice Beam/Protect
Rain Dance

Ludicolo is my rain dance sweeper , I will start off with rain dance and use the other moves to kill the other types. I haven't really had time to think through these...

Metagross @ Life Orb
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpAtk)
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 4 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Spd/Def
Moveset:
Meteor Mash
Psychic/Earthquake
Protect
Agility

Planning on using him as my tank. If I send him out with my Ludicolo, I am going to use protect and rain dance, the follow up with agility and one of ludi's moves.

Terrakion @ Focus Sash
Nature: Jolly (+Spd, -SpAtk)
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Spd
Moveset:
Sacred Sword/Focus Blast
Stone Edge/Rock Slide
Earthquake
Protect

Another sweeper, don't really have a set up for him because he is so beast!
Hydreigon @ Choice Scarf
Nature: Modest (+SpAtk, -Atk)
Ability: Levtitate
EVs: 4 Spd, 252 SpAtk, 252 HP
Moveset:
Draco Meteor
Flamethrower
Acrobatics
Earthquake/Protect/Work Up

Still very unsure with hydreigon... I am just thinking of using him as a sweeper, see why I need you guys?
Working on the last 2.... Please leave some comments! Much help could be used.
 
I think I'll dedicate a lot of time into helping you with VGC, if you are planning on attending an event just a few comments

1.What Spring VGC location are you going to
2.You need at least 6 pokemon to be a viable team(bring 6 pick 4)
3. Your team is threatened by the strong but slightly uncommon scarfed terrakion.
4. Your team is also threatened by the average rain team.
5.Also killed pretty hard by Trick Room.
 
with an adamant nature run zen headbutt over psychic on meta and close combactover focus blast on terrakion. terrakion is ok, i think hydreigon and metagross have got something wrong: first of all:
-Hydreigon
252 sp atk 252 speed 4 hp over your actual spread
Draco meteor is ok
dark pulse over acrobatics ( a modest nature lows the phisical attack)
Surf over flamethrower if you use a rain team
for the 4 slot choose u-turn or dragon pulse for a simple reason: work up and protect are useles with the scarf and earthquake does nothing with a modest nature.
-Metagross: i think you should replace agility with bullet punch and run a 252 atk 252 def 4 sp def evs spread for more resistance and a priority move. ice punch is also great for dragons like scarf garchomp and latios.
-for the 5th and 6th pkmn:
if you are going to use a rain team kingdra is absoluely necessary, you can find ev spreads and movesets here on smogon and choose what you prefer. Politoed also provides a permanent rain and is udefull for a rain team. Kabutops is a good rain abuser with stab rock slide and aqua jet. sand teams and scark garchomp are pretty dangerous for your team, so you can use a defensive cresselia with thunder wave and icy wind, who can stop scarfed pkmn and dragons with icy wind. excadrill is also dangerous for you under a sandstorm and pkmns such as cresselia or whimsicott with prankster can use rain dance to stop them, and whimsicott has got access to tailwind too so he can helps a lot.

Actually you're better off running the basic Politoed and Ludicolo if you want a good rain team. However I seriously consider lurking more on the forums and learning more about pokemon before seriously considering entering a tournament, because if you run a choice scarf and use protect, the only thing that'll happen is you'll get laughed at. Sorry, it's harsh but true. If you don't know what I mean, test your team on Pokemon Online. Just testing it on Pokemon Online helps a lot, as you can figure out what changes to make on your own, just from experience.
 
Just gotta say that, you only have one Pokemon with Rain Dance. Let's just say your Ludicolo gets KOed or Ludicolo gets taunt used on him. After that,you can't get up Rain. By the time Ludicolo recovers from Taunt, he's gonna be dead.
Umm.... Kingdra, Kabutops, Politoed, Parasect are good too.
