Trait: Skill Link
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Shell Smash
- Icicle Spear
- Rock Blast
- Razor Shell
A single Shell Smash improves enormously Attack and Speed, so that i can sweep as much as i want. Usually, at the first turn the opponent sets up Stealth Rocks or other EH, and i can get a boost. Then, predict a Taunt is really easy, and i can spam Icicle Spear if i know i will be taunted. Icicle Spear was for common leads such as Focus Sash Deoxys-S, Scarf Landorus, Sturdy Donphan and such, having 90 Base Power + STAB. Rock Blast is another multi-hit move, for coverage. Then, Razor Shell is STAB. Quite strong, and great for Heatran and all Steel-types resisting other moves (and Tyranitar). Adamant 252 Attack to be sure Icicle Spear is a 2HKO (or a 10HKO?), while 252 Defence to get lower damage from Superpower, Stone Edge, Close Combat
Kingdra (M) @ Chesto Berry
Trait: Swift Swim
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Rest
- Waterfall
- Outrage
The whole team was built around Kingdra. I decided to try this set, and it works really well. It's really self-explanatory: Dragon Dance boosts both Attack and Speed, Rest for recovery and to shrug off burn and paralisys, Waterfall is the main move (STAB, paraflinch), Outrage hits really hard almost everything. Chesto Berry (Lum is useless) to wake up immediately after the first Rest. The worst threat is Ferrothorn, i have to switch out even after 3 DD.I hope Kingdra will get Superpower Unluckily, Kingdra has one of the smallest movepool, there aren't other options, especially on the phisical side. To work well needs a lot of Entry Hazards on the field, so i've chosen Starmie to run Rapid Spin and Psychic, for Gengar
Salamence (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Moxie
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Fire Fang
Salamence + Choice Scarf + Moxie. Deadly. Jolly nature is to outspeed Modest Scarf Latios and such, and the Attack (which is already high) is boosted by Moxie after every kill. STAB Outrage + Moxie is a pain in the ass for stall teams, as the Attack may reach insane levels. Earthquake is for Heatran and Jirachi mainly, while Stone Edge, predicting a switch-in, for Gyarados and Tornadus. Fire Fang for Ferrothorn, i haven't done calculations yet, but i guess it's 2HKO after a Moxie boost. Is also for Scizor, but it isn't that bad for my team
Heatran (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 6 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Earth Power
Heatran gives an additional immunity at Fire, while being able to stop Sunny Teams. Weather Ball, Solar Beam, Fire Blast, Bug Buzz, Hidden Power Ice are totally sponged. Has to be ware of Dugtrio, Donphan and Hidden Power Ground, though. The spread is easy to figure out. Maximum Special Attack, with Life Orb, and maximum Speed, Timid-natured. Fire Blast is the main attack, extremely powerful, can 2HKO most of the metagame (eg. Ferrothorn in the rain). Earth Power is for coverage, for Rock-types and opponent Heatran, Hidden Power Electric for Slowbro, Cloyster, Suicune etc. I was about to use Houndoom, but Tran has Stealth Rocks, that help immensely against Dragon- and Flying-types (Dragonite, Gyarados and such). When will be released, does Flame Body has any utility on him?
Starmie @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 42 HP / 252 SAtk / 216 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Thunderbolt
- Surf
- Psychic
Well, that's my spinner. Psychic may look stupid, but is for Gengar and Conkeldurr, as Shadow Ball and Payback aren't easy to take. Surf is the main move, STAB and quite strong, while Thunderbolt is for coverage. Rapid Spin was necessary, or Salamence and Kingdra will have problem with Spikes. The spread is to outspeed Base 110 + 252 Speed EVs + nature, to maximize the Special Attack, and 40 HP for bulk. Natural Cure is the only great ability (Illuminate is useless, and Starmie is too fast to use Analytic).
Ludicolo (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Rain Dish
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Leech Seed
- Toxic
- Scald
- Ice Beam
Ludicolo doesn't have any purpose at all. Is just an annoyer, with Leftovers + Rain Dish + Leech Seed, Toxic to cripple Blissey and others, Scald + Ice Beam as attacking move. The spread is to sponge Special Attacks while reducing foe's Attack with a Scald burn. I need to replace him, it sucks. I'm thinking Calm Mind Virizion, as can deal pretty well with sand teams, but shares a bad Ice - Fire weakness
