Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Thanks... is there a reason why though?

Btw, I seem to be having some issues with RNGing...
every time I check my Elm Responses in seed to time, I always get no results. So I change my Delay and seconds parameters naturally, and turns out I'm hitting a frame 20+ above my target (I'm trying to hit 632), and I'm hitting 47 seconds instead of 50. I feel like I'm starting my EonTimer and DS Clock at the same time, but I'm ending up with VERY crazy results. I also feel like I'm booting my game and starting my game at the right time (which should be right at the last tick on the EonTimer if I'm correct)

It should be my error, correct? I've gotten these types of results 5 times in the past 7 attempts, the other 2 attempts I've hit +/-10 near my target delay.

This is a little older but I didn't see any answers so seems likely that you're getting a wrong result. There shouldn't really be any reason to change the +/-seconds part in the seed to time window.

I changed the calibrated delay to 564 at some point, and I got Kanto, Kanto, Pokerus, Pokerus, which was the farthest I have yet. But I never got anything like that afterward with 564.
Should I change the target delay?
@ ToastPlusOne: I'll try that and come back

Fyi, you shouldn't need to change the calibration manually. The defaults should be close and the rest should be easily taken care of by the update function.

Hit my seed again, only made calls to frame 14 this time, and somehow ended up with frame 163. I don't even know what to think any more.
There is 1 npc but as long your not super slow, it should advance the frame much.

Need more info
seed?

you are using method k and are you using any syncs?

Its close to sleepy time so...I may reply tomorrow

@GB
Sweeeeet. Thanks!

With the dead battery

If I find a feebas tile (which I already have), will the tile reset if a day somehow roll over, I dont know ask serebii or if I talk to the trendy man?

I found a tile, fly to a city and deposit some pokemon, went back to the exactly location and feebas still appeared.

Or I am first to rng 3rd gen feebas?

Edit: I am just going assume for now it change if I use palpark or talk to the man.
The date should not roll over if the battery is dead. Just avoid the trendy phrase man or mixing records. Pal Park shouldn't have any effect on the tiles.

Trying to set up some stuff on my laptop so I can RNG during my free time when I'm out, and I have a couple of questions about the timer.

Does EonTimer work properly under Wine? I know it runs, just wondering how accurate it is.

If the answer to that question is no: When I put my delay/seconds into ZomgTimer, it gives me different timer lengths than in EonTimer. Is that normal, or will I have to recalibrate? Calibrated delay 490, target delay 4305, calibrated sec 14, target sec 55. EonTimer shows 37:24/77:75, ZomgTimer shows 37:91/77:583.

I've used both timers and I prefer eon as it seems to be more accurate for me.

Never ever ever put anything but a 0 in the seconds thing if using a timer. You've been hitting 50 seconds it's just that the results are the same so it shows you the earliest second(47 in your case).

I've been using PokeRNG to try and get a Modest Kyogre, but something seems to be going wrong. I'm using EonTimer to make sure I'm hitting the time right, and killed all roamers, saved in front of Kyogre, and changed the date and everything. Whenever I think I've hit my time, the elm calls don't match up. The ones I should be getting are Kanto, Kanto, Pokerus, Pokerus, Kanto, Pokerus, Evolution, Pokerus, Pokerus, Kanto, but I only get Kanto, Kanto, Pokerus and then something random. What am I doing wrong?
In EonTimer I put in Calibrated Delay 490, Calibrated Sec 14, Target Delay 565, and Target Sec 00 but still keept missing.
Put the responses in the P,K,K,P format and list all 9 and we'll be able to help you.

My first one of today is K, P, E, E, K, E, K, P, E.
My second was K, E, K, E, E, K, K, P, E. None of these match anything in the delays but I noticed that the first one matched some from yesterday.
EDIT: My third one was K, K, P, K, K, K, K, P, E, similar to how yesterday I kept getting K, K, P, and then something else random. It was usually Kanto if I recall right

Next question is: Is the Enigma Stone Latias a Method 1? I've tried a dozen times, and hit my frame, but she wasn't shiny, and wasn't timid.

Seed: 25021000

I could only check the first 4 Elm responses, since she's on frame 4, but I got EEPE, and there aren't any other E, E, P, E responses anywhere close. :<

Method K. What you should do is call a verify you are hitting your delay, then go back and do the necessary calls. That's your best bet rather then trying over and over while not adjust your timer.

Is this he same date/time and seed that you used before or did you change?

In addition to what the others said, I'd also recommend going for something on a higher frame (10+), especially since there's a moving NPC - it advanced twice for me, so a frame 4 spread would give very little to go on.

Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up not having anything remotely good on Method K, so I'm restarting my game w/RNG... and having more trouble. -_-;

Target PID: 7942EF72
Target TID: 38316
Target Delay: 5733
Target seconds: 50

I set up EonTimer, and after 6 tries I hit 5733 delay. Problem is, I got 52 seconds, meaning my TID was 32895. How do I lower my seconds without affecting the delay?

Wow, I subtracted two seconds and hit it first try! XD Thanks so much!

EDIT: Trying to get a shiny Chikorita starter. Seed is d8021444. According to both PokeRNG and RNG Reporter, the first frame should be a shiny timid, making frame advancements unnecessary. However, every time I try, I get a Naughty Chikorita, which is nowhere on the seed! How can I verify what seed I'm hitting this early in the game?

I'm really curious how to get RadioSeed working. For some reason it's not generating the correct radio responses for me though the Elm Calls have verified I am on the correct seed.

Using Elm calls are going to mess up the radio responses. Did you take that into account?

Yes. Each Elm call should be only one advance to the Radio, correct?

EDIT:
Here's an example of what I've gotten
Seed: 31030250
Time: 2012 01 19 03:00:30
Delay: 580
Elm Calls: PEPEPKPPEKPP
Following that, Pokemon Search Party should be: S9 S1 S4 S6 S11 S8
I actually got: S8 S3 S6 S4 S10 S9

Screenshot just to make sure I didn't screw up any settings:

I was saved in the daycare in front of the daycare lady so no NPC troubles I hope.
Following that I put a Tyranitar and Ditto in the Daycare since I'm trying to get a Shiny Brave Tyranitar.
Go outside, run about he gets an egg, RNG reporter says the first egg on that seed is shiny and Brave for me.
Save, get and hatch egg and the PID I got was 28a7c32c instead of the e086ae19 I was shooting for. So somehow the egg thing advanced to frame 30.
After watching Bearsfan's video I was under the impression that the frame here wasn't advanced by elm calls or depositing so I'm curious as to what I'm doing incorrectly.

Following on what ToastPlusOne said, I figured I'll go with a different seed. My time now is June 22, 2011 at 00:41:01 and my delay is 603. In Eontimer, I changed the target sec to 01.
I've only reset twice now but I seem to have gotten the exact same seed twice, with my elm calls being P, K, E, P, E, K, K, E, E both times. But it doesn't seem to match anything.

Are there encounter slots for the safari zone in HGSS? I want to catch a larvitar in a safari ball.

Yes. Here it is. It's on eggmove too, but I can't remember the link for the life of me. Slots work differently but I think there is a safari zone enounter type on reporter, as long as it works.

Try double checking the Year, Time, and Date. Also if you have “Only odd/even” checked try unchecking it.

Eh, there are but you can't really use them because RNG Reporter doesn't calculate the slots for each frame correctly (nor has anyone figured out how to do this calculation, as far as I know, that is).

But, if you're willing to wait I'm going to write a guide on using these encounter slots in the Safari Zone, probably this weekend. Here's the link to the slots, but again, you can't really use them unless I teach you and I'm too lazy to teach people so if I write a guide I'll only have to teach once :)

Edit: Toast, RNG Reporter doesn't list them right :(

Edit 2: Unless it was fixed in 9.93 and no one told me... :P
